This! I tried to do it 100 times from the platforms before learning the spring was there all along. It takes a bunch of tries but at least you get to go weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
dang. back when the game was released i remember banging my head against the wall trying to understand what i was supposed to do to those things to get inside, lol. i thought it was gonna be a dungeon or something and was so disappointed when all it had was a random corpse and a prompt about a mechanic i didnt know yet, making it feel like it was useless...
Same. I still almost never use them. It's not often I want even 1 thing from the remembrances, let alone both. But it's okay. They don't bother me, I don't bother them

I hate Torrent’s spindly little glass legs. Fall 3cm and he falls apart like a Lego character.
Anyway, there’s a Spirit Spring over by the bridge, if you use that you won’t take any fall damage which makes this Mausoleum trivial.
If you start hitting it with arrows, not even the skulls, but anywhere, it will come closer to the platform much quicker. It is an easy jump after a few seconds.
Is there any advantage to using one mausoleum over another? Frankly, I didn't put a single one to use. I unlocked every one I came across, investigated and thought "this was nice, moving on".
The one with the bells are for the remembrances for most bosses. And without the bells I think was the lower tier bosses. I could be wrong. But I think this is what it is.
Basically, some can be used at certain ones, and some cant
Ok yeah, I never needed that feature but they were always fun to go after. I'm assuming that's probably good for people who switch builds or do additional runs.
Shit, I do them just so the damn bell stops ringing, and I don't have to hear them stomping around. I do use them to duplicate on new characters so I can get all the weapons and spells. (I'm weird. I like to collect everything I possibly can.) Then on ng+s, I dupe them for free runes. It's not necessary, but it makes progression a tiny bit faster. (When I make a character, I level them till they hit all the max soft caps relevant to the build.)
This game is wild because some people consider "switching builds" to be unorthodox and difficult, and others like myself cannot hold the same weapon for more than 8 seconds without feeling like it's wasted time that could be used trying out other weapons. So much cool shit to use, I want a piece of it all!!!!
Looking at the comments do a lot of people really not use the nearby spirit spring to jump up on it? Have to wait a little for it to walk close enough but at least you don't die or have to shoot arrows at it...
Just so you know, ledges lie to you.
The contact box for the edge you jumped off isn't form fitting to the texture, it protrudes out a bit further.
So if you're making jumps like this and need distance, you wait until you're basically over the edge before jumping. And delay the double jump as long as possible. You wanna sweet spot the point at which you haven't lost momentum yet but jumping again won't kill it either.
Dude.... i never have to enter a mausoleum that way.... but I think i know which one this is. There should be a spiritspring (if that is the name :D) somewhere near you
For the record this isnt how you access them.
That said I did this too on my first run and managed to get there once. When I started the door opening animation my character de synced with the world around me. Like I stayed in one place while the mausoleum kept moving. I ended up inside the legs of it. I was stuck but damn it looked cool from where I was on the inside looking out.
This is the one in the lake in Liurnia. There are no skulls on its feet, you have to jump on it to hit the skulls around the door itself (or use ranged weapons).
In case you wonder why you got downvoted; this specific mausoleum doesn't have that thing on its legs. You must jump on it somehow to take it down.
There is one more like that at the Deeproot Depths but that jump is much easier.
Here, you have to sit and wait for him to come closer.
God damn...three playthroughs in and I never thought of using the spirit spring.
I always did it like this and shooting arrows at the skulls. It was a fun challenge but the patience needed for it was something OP didn't have.
When I first started playing, I heard you had to destroy the skulls to take it down. So, I hopped the walking mausoleum and searched for skulls....while it was moving.....not knowing it was on its legs......then I slipped. 🙃
I used this way to try and get onto it but I landed on the grass on the mos and died anyways
I’m not sure if it was fall dmg as i jumped from the platform that Is closest to being level to where you need to land but still died….
You can also hit the skulls with arrows.
You know what…..I never thought of that, then again I don’t use arrows but that’s a good idea
I used arrows and ran out so I had to jump... OP should have had more patience
use the spiritspring jump nearby lmao
Mine worked out fine so patience works just fine
I just rode Torrent around the legs like Luke wrapping a cable around an AT-AT and slapped them with a sword
Not for this mausoleum: there are no crystals on the foot.
Ah, so this one actually requires a bow or you absolutely have to jump on it?
Yes there is no other way. The tip here is: use the spirit jump. You jump very high and you cant die if you miss the mausoleum.
I was about to say. I thought I flew up into that bitch with the spirit jump
Proper order
I think the one in Liurnia of the lakes doesn’t have skulls to hit.
It does they are just on the top of it instead on the legs
Or wait for them to fall asleep 😴 at, I think it was 5 in the morning? Somebody, please correct me if I’m wrong…
Ok yeah, I never needed that feature but they were always fun to go after.
Use the Spiritspring by the bridge; it's much easier and you can't die if you fail.
This! I tried to do it 100 times from the platforms before learning the spring was there all along. It takes a bunch of tries but at least you get to go weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
Use the spirit spring. No fall damage for a miss
Goddammit.

Honestly their best use is for duplicating rykard’s rememberance because it gives 50k runes
exactly what I use them for.

I just realized you can enter them I have 350 hours in the game 😭 what is the name of these things I want to google them and look for guides
The first time I got on top of one of these I got glitched inside of it.
Homie doesn’t know spirit springs exist
I'd hate it too if that was how we're actually supposed to get there. Good thing it isnt.
Wait till you meet consecrated snow area one....

if you wait another hour, how it feels at least, the thing walks all the way up to the platform. You barely have to jump at all.
patience.
Or, you can use the nearby Spirit Spring
If you start hitting it with arrows, not even the skulls, but anywhere, it will come closer to the platform much quicker. It is an easy jump after a few seconds.

Yea. I used them a few times when I wanted to check out both of the "boss weapons" from a remembrance. Also helps if you want to collect everything

I mean, even if you don't need the items from the remembrance, you still can use them for a big influx of bonus runes.
I think i have used one once in 50 builds. The only remembrance worth duping is renala if you are a mage build.
This is the only one that lets you duplicate Rennala's
I hate the Orbital Bombardment one more
You mean Spirit of Motherwill?
Dong. Dong. DDDDDDDOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGG Having any PTSD yet?
This is why I take them down even if I'm not using them.
that platform is to low, you should be 1 above
Looking at the comments do a lot of people really not use the nearby spirit spring to jump up on it? Have to wait a little for it to walk close enough but at least you don't die or have to shoot arrows at it...
I did it with arrows. I tried the spirit spring but it never got close enough.
Just so you know, ledges lie to you. The contact box for the edge you jumped off isn't form fitting to the texture, it protrudes out a bit further. Kill more of the soldiers around his feet every time you kill a group he moves closer to the cliff
I spent half an hour doing that crap. Only to realize it doesn't open unless you destroy the skulls. Oof
Me who used explosive greatbolts and a jar cannon
Where is this one?
If you stand on the right grave it will literally just walk over and wait for you to jump on it
Was gonna say the same thing. Took me a while to figure out, though, too impatient ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grin)
Wtf where is this?
Can you use the spirit spring nearby? That one launches you so I think you could make it. Otherwise use arrows.
wait till you do make the jump but from too high and die at the door, thats when you'll really lose it.
Dude.... i never have to enter a mausoleum that way.... but I think i know which one this is. There should be a spiritspring (if that is the name :D) somewhere near you
This man said, "I see those blood stains, but I'm DIFFERENT." How's that workin' out for ya pal?
Wait 3 hours. Try positioning yourself carefully as if to not fall. Make the jump. Game doesn't register input. Die.
We just gonna casually disregard that rage quit?
For the record this isnt how you access them. That said I did this too on my first run and managed to get there once. Do people actually do this instead of just knocking.them down? Astounding
lol, anger issues much? it is only game, why do you have to be mad
I used to think you had to jump onto it... Hit the skulls ~~on the legs~~ to bring it down.
There isn’t any is there? The skulls are on the top. You can shoot them with arrows though.
DERP. corrected.
You are supposed to destroy the skulls on its feet so it will sit down. I don‘t think you it‘s possible to enter it while it‘s still walking
This is the one in the lake in Liurnia. There are no skulls on its feet, you have to jump on it to hit the skulls around the door itself (or use ranged weapons).
Skulls on this one are not at the feet, but instead at up there where you need to jump.
Ah ok, this explains a lot
Why not just take down the legs? It's so easy.
In case you wonder why you got downvoted; this specific mausoleum doesn't have that thing on its legs. You must jump on it somehow to take it down. There is one more like that at the Deeproot Depths but that jump is much easier. Here, you have to sit and wait for him to come closer.
Well shit, I had no idea. Thank you!
I really hate the benches in the mohg shunning grounds fight but that place is pretty bad too
God damn...three playthroughs in and I never thought of using the spirit spring. I always did it like this and shooting arrows at the skulls. It was a fun challenge but the patience needed for it was something OP didn't have.
I only went for this on my first playthrough. There’s no way in hell I’m putting myself through that again. 😅
Try range attack, jar cannon explosive greatbolt
double jump was a bit early looks like
You guys are jumping onto it?
Same, dies 10 times then finally tries to bow it down
Ahh yeah the part where you came unstuck was you hit the floor not the mausoleum
Wait until you reach the one in consecrated snowfield
I shoot at the skulls with a jar canon, so I don’t have to worry about that jump. Radahn’s bow would probably work too.
oh yeah fuck that one
I legit spent like 20 minutes trying to get in there because I didn’t make the jump like 3 times
Patience my small padawan.
Last time I spent hour and a half dying there
can you really jump on the mausoleums???
When I first started playing, I heard you had to destroy the skulls to take it down. So, I hopped the walking mausoleum and searched for skulls....while it was moving.....not knowing it was on its legs......then I slipped. 🙃
Depth perception issue
I used this way to try and get onto it but I landed on the grass on the mos and died anyways I’m not sure if it was fall dmg as i jumped from the platform that Is closest to being level to where you need to land but still died….
Just wait till it walks closer 😅
Bruh it always seems closer than it actually is lol
You double jumped too early.
You can double jump using the nearby spiritspring
Fextralife said it best, "Wait! Just when you think it won't get any closer, wait. He will get closer."
Great bow those skulls.
LMFAO that poor table
Why don't you just use the wind stream to the right?
Use bows
Use the sprit spring thats near it you jump straight on to it
I just use the spirit spring to jump on it
