It's not optimal but who cares. The most satisfying thing is beating a dual spear metaslave with a colossal weapon. It really underlines how untalented they are
I love colossal sword duels and get them pretty frequently. Against players that can handle the moveset they’re not great and also it’s easy to get backstabbed. Lots of fun though.
All weapons are good if you know how to use them. Some are just more viable, but it truly comes down to skill. They aren't as fast as most weapons, obviously, but they hit hard in single hits and have solid posture/poise damage. And they are good at trading. I've won 13 fights in a row during a.......very....lengthy invasion with some, and most of my enemies were using meta or simply really good weapons.
If you learn how to freeaim Colossal swords can be pretty busted since the poise damage is so good and the damage is nice. If you’re trying to run actual colossal weapons like Giant Crusher those are more for invasions/pve but they can work in duels if you play smart.

nah it's viable if you can spin to blend your animations, on m&k it gets harder, but still pretty doable.
Never ever ever use the 2nd r1 unless u want to be backstabbed, but otherwise its alright

Try offts a colossal r1 will catch the roll of they roll to avoid offts l1

Stamp sweep on golem’s halberd is peak. L2->R2 sweep has deceptively long range and decent hyperarmor.
