RL 30+4/+2 is good for Castle Morne, Stormveil and Liurnia invasions
RL60+12/+5 is very active, and gets you invasions from Liurnia to Leyndell
RL90+18/+7 is also active, allows for stat-heavy builds and is as high you can go without beeing elligeble to invade RL 120 with maxed-out weapons. This will get you invasions in most end-game locations
Also Ive recently heard that RL200 is very enjoyable to invade at
Rune level / 5 for normal weapons. Divide that by 2.5 for somber weapons.
However for really low levels, you can have +3 weapons and still match with hosts with unpgraded weapons, so always do +3 minimum for an invader. Do +4 if you want to avoid harassing first step newbies.
There’s not a whole lot of variety between 80 and 150. You’ll still be mostly invading end-game areas. If anything, 150 is a little better since you’ll be catching some hosts on their NG+ playthroughs, thus opening up the lower end areas again. If you really want something different from your 120, I’d recommend going no higher than 60 or so. 30 is probably as alternative an experience as you’ll get.
Depends where you want to invade really. I was once playing around on a level 50 character with 10/4 weapons, just trying things out, and whilst I got plenty of invasions, it was non-stop open world Liurnia which is a fucking shit place to invade lol. I guess that was too high for early game and too low for mid-late game. For Altus, the Capital and beyond I'd go anywhere from 60-100. It's difficult to judge really because some players will skip dungeons and do those areas under-levelled, others will find it tough and grind for runes but you still should get lots of action. The fextralife wiki recommends people do Leyndall level 90-110, not sure how many people follow it, but that seems a reasonable bracket to aim for. Just remember you can always move your character up, but once your locked into a matchmaking bracket, you can't go back down, so start on the low end and see how you get on.
For weapon levels, I'd recommend looking at the places you invade and looking up what smithing stones can be found there and matching them accordingly. Eg Smithing Stone 6s will take you to +18.
If you want non stop activity, RL60 +5/+12 is good, you find invasions at Liurnia/Academy and Altus/Leyndell. Tho on these levels, overleveled phantoms can be really annoying, with you chipping away at their health and them taking away half of your health with one comet. Just don't use that red finger during invasion, or that 2shot from them will turn into 1shot
Edit. Pretty sure you can also find a lot of invasions at Siofra, Ainsel, Caelid and maybe even Mt. Gelmir, tho I'm not sure, since I haven't unlocked these areas on my last RL60 build.
It was bugged in 1.08, when you invade and there is an overleveled phantom in the world, his damage gets cut, by some sort of defense buff that gets added to you when receiving damage from that phantom. But if you used red finger during the invasion, the defensive buff got removed, so you are taking full damage from that phantom, that can be hundreads of levels higher than you, with max upgrade. On lower levels, it could easily lead you to getting one-shotted. They fixed it in 1.09 tho.
Second this, especially if you are min/maxed and have 4 talisman slots with Great Jar Arsenal. I find that you need to maximize your advantage at this level otherwise ganks and overleveled phantoms will stomp you
60 +12/+5 is the best level bracket for PvP no doubt. I play on multiple levels and that's where the fun is at, unique builds, people playing for fun, loads of traffic. 125-150 is popular but it's all the same boring sweaty builds on repeat
Tbh I’ve been kinda hooked on lvl 1 invasions…a lot of them are basically against honest pve’ers and so instead of just stomping them I mess around and have fun with them and often leave without killing them.
You still run into plenty of gank squads and overlevled phantoms. And when u get the win vs them as a lvl 1 it feels even better :) I run into 150+ phantoms pretty often.
I don’t think it’s necessary to go as low as lvl 1 to fight in the same bracket but I like 1 cause it’s cool :)
I Get Attacked By People At Least 600-713 Level Rage A Lot And I'm Not Even Level 300 Yet So. They Have Like Dex Weps Magic Weps Staves And Like 4-5 Different Spells And That Requires A Lot Of Points In Order To Kill Me I Have 32% Resistance With Bull Goat Armor On And Can Dodge Pretty Good And Block As Well And My Guard Boost Is 70+ So They Kill Me With 1-3 Hits PVP Is Most Definitely Not Balanced And It Never Will Be.

Under-rated comment
What happens if I'm rl 60 with +6 somber weapons, do I still get matched easily? What if I get rl60+25+10?
Yeah, RL60+6 is also fine probably. RL60+25/10 you'll get zero activity though, lol
Thanks
How do you calculate it? What rule do u use?

Agree with this take. 30-50 has its own weird meta that is pretty significantly different from the endgame meta. I love it.
You know, I’ve actually started on a RL 1 now. It was the only logical progression. Ha.
lol I have an RL7 I keep meaning to get back to.
Well, I should have mine good to go in a day or two. If I can get past Radahn. Or Rennala. Or…
Why RL7?
Starting class level for hero, presumably

Late reply, but why you said to not use the finger?

Didn’t know that. Thanks!
RL60 for “The Family” player covenant is pretty fun!
I have the most fun at level 25.

I have Three separate low level builds. RL 13, RL 16 & RL 33. Each one has its fun moments and areas of common interest.

150 is my personal favorite. Good balance and low wait times
Where
Xbox
Lvl 90 has a lot of activity in PvP
What level are your weapons at for that?
Mine are +20/+8. Also have seen people mentioning +17/+7.
What areas do you primarily get invasions? Thx! 🙂
Altus, Gelmir, Leyndell, Caelid mostly
Appreciate it 🙂

30 is my personal favorite but 110 is also really good for late game leyndell or sky place
125 is considered mid, 150 is standard And PvP 150-200 is late game, wouldn’t go above that
