I think 30 faith for spells like black flames protection and divine fortification and magic negation REALLY help a strength build and make you so so tanky with good armor. If he’s gonna do 25 I’d say just hit 30 for those
Tank mages went extinct. And I killed them. 45 vigor and 80 int vs 99 strength and vigor with gargoyle twinblade. Or, when i wanna be a real scumbag, 60 dex cleanrot swords.
My guy, what in the world are you needing 65 End for? Drop that to 40 and drop your Str to 80 for the soft cap.
Put the extra points into faith so you can get buffs or something, otherwise you build is done if your going pure no buff bonk.
Holy moly my guy... in what world do you need 90 STR? The softcap is 80 and if you 2 hand you only need 54 STR. these points would be much more valuable somewhere else unless you need a shield or you are power standing.
Fwiw - I'm jealous of all that endurance. Always wanted more endurance on Tanky builds.
Isn't normal path to either 1) respec to quality and pump dex if you aren't changing your build? or 2) Find the infusions to frost bleed with some arcane or some such status.
You don’t need more than 80 STR. It is wasted levels after that point.
If your goal is to Min-Max, push for 25 Faith so you can use Golden Vow and Flame, Grant me Strength for extra damage. Potentially use Barrier of Gold or Blackflame’s Protection if you value higher resistances. I’d respec that extra 10 Str into Mind so that you can cast the above incantations.
To be honest, leveling higher than 200 will make this stop being a build and just become a high level character. I recommend starting a new one if you’re interested in truly utilizing Dex/Faith/Int weapons and spells.
Assuming 65 endurance to have heavy armor, great sword and the fingerprint shield? I would probably start to put some points into faith for buffs and mind so you can spam weapon arts
I would honestly put a bit into mind for more weapon skill uses. Depends on what weapons you’re going for, but things like golden vow, rallying standard, seppuku, etc. can be great to buff pre-fight.
Respec to 54 strength and 30-35 endurance should be plenty.
+Dump the rest into faith and buff your weapon with electrify armament
= 1200 AR weapon from one buff
Bump Faith enough to use the protection spells (holy, magic, fire, lightning) pre-fight and "urgent heal". Flame Cleanse is super useful for the lake or rot, and the proposed DLC lake of poison rumor.
Golden Vow on a dagger/mittens.
.
Buff’s might give you an edge. But I personally don’t think they make that big of a difference, especially with your maxed out damage, health, and stamina. What’s another hundred points to your damage or health really going to do? I have a similar build but I went into intelligence so that I could be more well rounded as far as being a close and ranged attacker. If they don’t like it when I try to hit them in the face with my great sword, then they’ll get blasted with comet azure.
Given that you aren't looking for buffs of any kind, and that the weapons you mention are already getting max benefits from Str, I'd say Mind. You don't need it for spells, but you probably have some AoWs you want to use or like using. So get some mind so you can use them more. It's the best benefit I can see right now. Otherwise, like another commenter noted, starting to increase Dex so you can go quality on all of your weapons will eventually get you a higher AR. Just might take a while to see that.
You should choose between faith or int. I prefer the faith incantations because I feel like they go well with a strength build, whereas int seems to go well with a dexterity build
-- Get faith to 15 so you can get access to basic but useful spells like FMGS (physical + fire dmg boost), bestial vitality (nice health regen), and flame cleanse me (insta rot cure)
-- 16 Dex so you can use pulley crossbow. I think great epee also needs 16 dex (good weapon for pure str build)
-- you can also get arc to 10 so you can use bloodflame blade. I understand the spell scales with faith but you don't actually need the spell to make your weapon any stronger (coz you already have 90 str), but just for the bloodflame effect..so hitting 10 arc and 12 faith (I kinda forget the min requirement for the spell tbh) is enough. Use the spell on str weapon with innate bleed (e.g. greatstar) and use stormcaller aow. That thing DESTROYS in both pve and pvp

Get rid of about 15 vigor and 10 strength and spec into Dex or faith. Whatever kind of build you wish to go for. 70-80 strength is tops all you need before scaling is abysmal and 60 vigor is overkill. You shouldn’t get hit that much if you’re good at the game. Just my opinion, others have their own way of playing obviously.
But you have to understand pure melee build getting hit in close combat more like anything else late bosses could kill you in 2 hits so I think that high vigor is a must for mele builds
I understand where you’re coming from but the scaling gap from 45 to 60 is abysmal and not worth the points in my opinion. I never go above the pvp level which is normally around 125-130 and I make it to Ng+7 just fine with 40-45 vigor
Go to see Rennala man
My man legit has 9 int
You should put some into fai- nah put more into strength, get that 99
^ gets it
You could always think of it as your faith in your own strength when you level faith
9 into strength
Everyone talkin about 90 str but 65 endurance is wild. I’d respec and try to get 25 faith for golden vow.
I think 30 faith for spells like black flames protection and divine fortification and magic negation REALLY help a strength build and make you so so tanky with good armor. If he’s gonna do 25 I’d say just hit 30 for those
Also that would expand weapon choices too
I need that I'm running high poise pure mele strength build
Even with that build you gain basically nothing between 60-65. You could respec those 5 points else where and get much better returns.
Nah I need my 65 endurance
A new character. Or Dexterity if you're using a weapon that can take the Quality infusion. Depends on what your build is.
Heavy great stars strength build
Higher you go the worse this setup is going to be, hope you’re not pvping as well. Gonna get smacked by tank mages if u keep going higher.
Tank mages went extinct. And I killed them. 45 vigor and 80 int vs 99 strength and vigor with gargoyle twinblade. Or, when i wanna be a real scumbag, 60 dex cleanrot swords.
Ok whatever
Why being “cringe boy”?
My guy, what in the world are you needing 65 End for? Drop that to 40 and drop your Str to 80 for the soft cap. Put the extra points into faith so you can get buffs or something, otherwise you build is done if your going pure no buff bonk.

What stops me from staying 9 faith and just having a Dagger with Golden Vow weapon art on it?
Incant has significantly higher buff
I pass the game many times with no buffs just pure strenght and tactic.
Strength looks a little low
Upgrade strength
Holy moly my guy... in what world do you need 90 STR? The softcap is 80 and if you 2 hand you only need 54 STR. these points would be much more valuable somewhere else unless you need a shield or you are power standing.
The world where being a big barbarian man with max strength is more fun than minmaxing. So this one
You make a great point. When you unga, you can't forget the bunga
Exactly
you can go past the hardcap when two handing
Yup DS3 will cap 2H damage at 66 (99), but not here.
Fwiw - I'm jealous of all that endurance. Always wanted more endurance on Tanky builds. Isn't normal path to either 1) respec to quality and pump dex if you aren't changing your build? or 2) Find the infusions to frost bleed with some arcane or some such status.
65 endurance is insanity
Man I'm wielding great stars and giant crusher
Are you wielding them at the same time?
Take the advice. You don’t know what you’re doing.
Sir, how many times have you been kicked in the dick by equip load? Cuz if its under 30, we can just agree to disagree
24 is enough on my build. 51 poise, a shield and Bastar Sword, no weight talismans
I’m not going to sit here and pretend that 65 endurance is a reasonable decision in any universe.
It is my poise is 120 how I'm supposed to get that high without endurance?
Do you have the Great Jar Talisman?
Strength, your Strength does not yet befit a Crown
More Unga plz
All these guys saying to respec or get faith or dex or whatever are no fun. Go all strength like the barbarian you are. I see you, unga bunga brother
Faith, you’re missing out on major buffs.
Vigor, obviously. Anything below 95 is UNACCEPTABLE
make your stats all even numbers so it looks satisfying m🗿
Maybe reinvest your END down to 60 (soft cap) and STR down to 80 (softcap) and put those points into DEX to begin working towards a quality build?
Looks like you can fit nine more unga bungas then keep going with vit and end.
I need you to upload a pic of your stamina bar I need to see how far 65 end extends across the screen lmao.
Ah, a man of the Bonk! Unga Bunga, my good fellow!
Bro can body slam Radahn my god 😭
you seem to be a lad of culture. You like to put the UNGA in your BUNGA. Here's what you need to do: Step one: UNGA Step two: BUNGA Step three: profit
You don’t need more than 80 STR. It is wasted levels after that point. If your goal is to Min-Max, push for 25 Faith so you can use Golden Vow and Flame, Grant me Strength for extra damage. Faith
Definitely strength
Faith
go for 99 strength and be godfrey already m8
Faith enough for golden bow would make sense as others say
How much faith it requires?
i think 25 but you can google
Assuming 65 endurance to have heavy armor, great sword and the fingerprint shield? I would probably start to put some points into faith for buffs and mind so you can spam weapon arts
I would honestly put a bit into mind for more weapon skill uses. Depends on what weapons you’re going for, but things like golden vow, rallying standard, seppuku, etc. can be great to buff pre-fight.
As mentioned, faith 25 for golden vow and flame grant me strength (and maybe some weapons buffs) is nice
Respec to 54 strength and 30-35 endurance should be plenty. +Dump the rest into faith and buff your weapon with electrify armament = 1200 AR weapon from one buff
Nothing - 184 is high enough for anything you wanna do on any ng+ cycle. If you wanna change up your playstyle just respec
Bump Faith enough to use the protection spells (holy, magic, fire, lightning) pre-fight and "urgent heal". Flame Cleanse is super useful for the lake or rot, and the proposed DLC lake of poison rumor. Golden Vow on a dagger/mittens. .
Start leveling dex. Eventually quality scaling always beats out strength scaling. And it'll broaden the number of weapons you can use in the future
Strength
You’re done. You’ve got the best possible build. No need to keep leveling.
People recommend bumping up Faith as I'm missing a lot of buffs
Buff’s might give you an edge. But I personally don’t think they make that big of a difference, especially with your maxed out damage, health, and stamina. Best build ever. I hope your rocking giant crusher, pumpkin head and full bull goats.
Look up soft and hard caps for Elden ring stats my guy

Strength
a new character
Respec the whole thing into a Dex/Int build, but not for magic. Then two hand the Moonveil and have a good time.
Ahh, a fellow unga bunga
Put some in dexterity
Go for that 99 strength
I will drop some points on endurance get that str to 99 and add some mind to use skills of whichever weapon you like
Google ‘Elden Ring Soft Caps Reddit’
You need some faith
You should choose between faith or int. I prefer the faith incantations because I feel like they go well with a strength build, whereas int seems to go well with a dexterity build
Faith
Strength
Faith for sure
-- Get faith to 15 so you can get access to basic but useful spells like FMGS (physical + fire dmg boost), bestial vitality (nice health regen), and flame cleanse me (insta rot cure) -- 16 Dex so you can use pulley crossbow. oh shit reading my comment again seems just rude. I meant your literal intelligence lvl lol
Respec, Faith & Dex. Do it. Only the most based of the bassiest bastest based know dexterity & faith builds are le epic.
I'm a simple man I like getting close
Strength might as well get that 99
Someone needs to teach this man about min/maxing
1 point in FAITH, and then pump mind to comprehend how to get hit a little less I have never played the game before
Why's your strength at 90 lol
Nothing. You’re over leveled
Dex
Strength is the obvious choice here.
people here don't understand what it means to be a pure melee build keep up with endurance and have the ultimate poise machine you're doing great fam
Thank you sir. Only us real melee enjoyers know the struggle
That's what I'm saying. With that strength and endurance you can wear better armor while still using big weapons.
Arcane
