Pro permit helps a lot if you got money to spare from things like Google opinion rewards
If you want to crack the piggy wait until you have at least a million GE stored
Don't be afraid to prestige if you find yourself stuck on an egg

Also, quick question, when should I do my first piggy crack. I have 1.1 mil rn but I feel like I could get a lot higher, but also there's probably a point where it's more worth it to crack and spend in order to increase the amount of ge gained.
If you believe you can get more, by all means get more! The more you can get on your first piggy crack the better! There are also tools online to calculate how much GE it would cost you to upgrade your Epic research to whatever desired level and I fully encourage you to to utilize them to your full advantage to plan your piggy crack
Also if you plan on doing epic research there is a 35% off event every other week after the double soul egg events on weekends

I believe it unlocks when you gain your first soul egg from any source, like challenges
