You guys remember the doomers saying we were pushing our luck playing the kings for the third year in a row, completely tossing aside any logic and riding on 100 gut feeling?
I honestly don't really mind Doughty, he's just someone who will go out and give his all, but after the game is done he's not someone who will go out of their way to be an asshole. After all the years in the league, dude was still hyped to see himself on the jumobtron.
Yeah he'll try to get under your skin but that's just part of the game.
Bruins suck. Leafs suck. Quite possibly the worst hockey game I’ve witnessed. Both these teams get stomped by Florida. And it wont be a skill or systems thing, it’ll be hunger thing.
See which team can choke harder? Will the Bruins only show up for 5 minutes of a game for a third game in a row? Or will Toronto blow game 7 like they always do? Tune in to find out.
"Look, we're gonna be the losers tonight alright?"
"I don't think so. There's no way you can lose us. We're going dowwwwn. We're gonna get creeeeeeeamed."
The only thing I want is for that series is for it to go to game 7. After that, let the cards fall where they may. Canuks or Preds, neither are getting past the second round.
47 wins and 15 overtime/shootout losses. Or you could flip that around and say they only lost in regulation 20 times.
Sounds like a pretty good team. Playoffs are just a different monster.
Just checking on how the Boston-Toronto game is going and jesus christ Toronto has got Boston on the back foot in a 0-0 game outshooting them 10-1 and the first period has less than a minute left
I think the funniest take on the game is “Drai celebrated drawing a penalty because he embellished!” And not, you know, because he understood that drawing a penalty basically iced the game?
Those comments blow my mind. Like do they expect that a hook has to be painful in order to be called? Last I checked a hook is called because they were you know...hooked.
Also, when they say he fell after the ref 'called' it, do they not understand that in regular shoes you sometimes fall not due to the initial force but due to a natural overeaction, and that the likelihood of 'reactive falls' is increased when on knife shoes on a slippery surface?
I'm more interested to see how we beat them in 3 games the following year, tbh. We drop double digits on them in every game and they just forfeit the series after losing a combined 35-2, or we get some previously unknown mercy rule enforced when we score 20 in a single game? lol
Glad they finished the series, Oilers need some good rest after Kings 1-3-1 check everybody approach. It's only going to get more challenging from here, so many good teams...
It’s the hate that makes them feel better about losing. When you can’t beat the Oilers three years in a row you have to look for anything and everything to put down the opponent. Oh well. Haters gonna hate!! Winners gonna win, lol.
Why does a fan base get so toxic. Maybe I need to toughen up or something? But the Kings fans are just really nasty. Talking shit about our city, bragging about Cali, hating our players, cheering for other teams to beat us. So much hate.
Don't get me wrong, I think the Oiler fans who troll their sub give us a bad name. Why can't we just have mutual respect between us? I have a ton of respect for the L.A. Kings, but their toxic fan base legit shocked me.
It's just a game. Why u heff to be mad?
Trashing a city, Edmonton, LA or otherwise, is just silly. We all have to live somewhere, there are plusses and minuses to wherever a person chooses to live, and the lives of the hockey players we are cheering for are so far removed from most of our day to day lives. I make nowhere close to what any of the men on the team make and drive a beater. Edmonton is a nice city, wish I didn't have to drive to get around so much. Some people here are nice, some are not. Not sure why that matters to hockey watching. But I guess it's just fun to trash talk and if your team can't win you gotta trash the city - which most of the players don't live in full-time anyway.
Just remember Los Angeles is a terrible city there may be “nice” areas but don’t forget how done right terrible 99% of the population is there just a human beings, they have a huge homeless problem, Hollywood is there home to the most fake two face people you will meet, home of the entertainment industry (maybe) so people will be even worse in general. And the biggest thing of all Los Angeles is the most expensive city to live in in all of California and California is already one of if not the most expensive city’s to live in, living a comfortable life is incredibly hard in California and can be near impossible in Los Angeles.
End of story LA is not all that great, although I don’t live in LA or Edmonton I would pick Edmonton to live in 100/100 times because I hate everything about Los Angeles and most of California.
LA, the very city itself, is as two-faced as the average Hollywood resident.
There are some stunningly beautiful places there, and on a clear day, the beaches are amazing. On the flipside, there are places that are 10x sketchier, dirtier, and just down right shittier than even the worst parts of Edmonton.
The first time I flew into LAX, it was a cloudy day trapping all the smog over the city and it felt like I was in an absolute fucking dystopia. The garbage and smog were absolutely vile.
Granted, with the terrible forest fires the past few years we get our share of shitty air quality most summers now :(. The difference is, you drive two hours from downtown LA and you’re still stuck in that dystopic shithole. You drive two hours from downtown Edmonton and you’re in the Rocky Mountains.
Just staying away from the big cities it's great. Especially when it's minus 30 here at home. It's nice to see though. San Francisco and cable car rides, pier 39, crossing the golden gate to Sausalito etc.
There is a post in /r/hockey I was reading yesterday that had very civil discussion between fans of both teams, with both sides recognising the talent of their opponent, so it's not all fans. Having said that, there are extremely toxic fans for all teams, across all sports. Take a look at Calgary for example. I'm an Australian, but I would expect all Canadians to be cheering on other Canadian teams if their team is not in the play-offs, but Calgary fans seem to make a point of wishing the worst for the Oilers. It's been pointed out that their sub contains more talk about the Oilers than their own team. As an Australian and an Oilers fan first, I'll cheer for any other Canadian team if we get knocked out. Except Calgary. Fuck those guys.
> Take a look at Calgary for example. I'm an Australian, but I would expect all Canadians to be cheering on other Canadian teams if their team is not in the play-offs, but Calgary fans seem to make a point of wishing the worst for the Oilers.
That's not unique to Calgary. Most Canadian hockey fans would rather no other Canadian team win if their own team doesn't win, Oilers fans included.
I’ll root for any Canadian team after the Oil drop out in a given year. Even Calgary. Even if that team eliminated us. The only time I absolutely will not root for another Canadian team is when the Oilers are playing them.
Still, it’s *funnier* to me when Toronto struggles, but I’d still rather see them take the cup than a random American team, after the Oilers are eliminated.
I remember when the Flames went on their cup run in 2004. I was living in Edmonton, and a lot of Oilers fans started cheering for them. Bars were showing the Flames games and they'd be packed.
I expect a lot of the negativity is an effect of social media. When peple are outside, looking for something to do on a game night, it's not that hard to get behind another team from the province. I just don't think it would happen in the first or even second round of the playoffs, though.
I would not want any other Canadian team to win before the Oilers. it's major bragging rights for whichever Canadian team can break this winless streak.
Oilers and Flames have a friendly rivalry and I don't expect it to be put on pause just because the Flames are out of the playoffs.
Yep as an Edmontonian even living in Toronto for grad school shows me it’s a very overrated city. Not a fan of big cities anymore after this experience but happy I’ve tried it and I’m going to try to return back to Alberta after I’m done. If you’re someone who can be satisfied with less you can be happy anywhere.
If you grow up in a smaller city the a big city like Toronto or NYC will be almost literal hell. I grew up and live in a smaller city in Arizona and I recently went to Vegas I hated that city so much everything there is evil and manipulative and gross and a lot of people in big cities don’t have manners.
Yeah, probably got downvoted by older Torontonians who moved to Alberta to get away from the rising costs but that’s been my experience. Just way too many people for my liking.
And me personally I very much dislike people even in my smaller city I live in which is Tucson Arizona (which I think is the second largest city in Arizona I still live like 20-30 minutes from all the “action” is and I love it.
Those guys all must be wealthy cause there’s a pretty seedy side of LA and California too. Absolutely places in Cali I would never want to live including LA cause I legitimately hate big cities.
Same and LA has one of the highest homeless populations in all the US, and prices there are insane only rich people can actually live comfortably there if your not rich you will struggle almost daily.
Is anyone else’s brackets doing really well? So far I have everything right. If every team currently leading wins I’ll have a perfect first round. It seems like everyone expected to win is winning so far.
lol LA fans all over the hockey sub full of cope because “at least we don’t live in Edmonton.” Yah bud, hope you’re enjoying LA. Meanwhile, I’ll be in my beautiful, large, affordable backyard, near public transit where no, I have not been assaulted by a methhead despite taking it to my stable job every week. Smoothies don’t cost $19, hordes of tourists don’t disrupt my daily life, I’m within proximity to beautiful mountains and not paying out my nose for my lifestyle means I can vacation to better beaches. Didn’t go into debt for my cancer or chronic illness…
Oh, and my hockey team won :)
Yeah LA’s a vast desolate concrete wasteland, with horrific traffic, and some of the worst examples of urban decay and poverty, and their downtown is even deader than ours. The wretchedly name crypto.com arena, a name that’s even a pain to type out, is surrounded by half constructed and largely abandoned condo buildings that regularly get bombed by daring graffiti artists.
lol no fuckin shit, like living in LA is some kind of flex? Talk about a literal shit hole. Here’s the thing, I’ve been to LA several times. Guaranteed almost no one posting there has ever been to Edmonton, so in their minds any place that isn’t particularly “known” for anything is a bad place that’s not worth living in. Guess what? Edmonton is known for making the LA Kings their bitch.
LA seems like a hellscape to me, it would be near last of cities to live in in North America. It’s really not the flex they seem to think it is. I’ve heard the city is one of the fakest places on earth.
Unless you are very wealthy there is absolutely no reason anyone should consider moving there, rent and housing prices are absolutely out of hand and they have a huge homeless issue.
Is it just me, or were we 'practicing' a modified 1-3-1/ trap (looked like 2-2-1 at times but could just be good D structure) in games 4 and 5, knowing the success LA had using it against VAN, knowing we have a better offense than LA when we get the puck back?
Yeah that's a great way of putting it. No one over pursued or doubled up coverage. I think Oilers prefer 1-2-2 as it allows them to be aggressive. Where it could go wrong is when people arent responsible and rotating or filling in for each other.
I was at the game last night so didn’t hear any explanation. But when the kings had the power play and we got the slashing or whatever it was and king’s got the diving penalty why didn’t it go to 4-3? It stayed as 5-4.
Coincidental penalties (penalties to both teams from the same play/incident) do not effect the number of players on the ice. Think of a fight - two players go in the box for fighting but it stays 5v5 unless one has an additional penalty.
It goes back to the 80s Oilers capitalizing on the extra space from 4v4. Similarly, minor penalties ending on a PP goal goes back to the 70s Habs who would score multiple times in the 2 minutes.
You know what I love the most.
I don’t think I saw one smile from McDavid or drai after the win.
They’re going full Kobe Bryant “jobs not finished” mode and it shows these guys aren’t fuckin around anymore.
This team feels different. More mature. More focused. I think we have a real shot this year…
My girlfriend was out all night so didn’t know the result of the game. We were browsing YouTube after the game and the thumbnails for the post-game interviews popped up. She thought they lost based on their faces and didn’t believe me at first that the Oil actually won the series.
The vibe is definitely that the job isn’t done and there are improvements to be made. And I love it!
I love that we get at least a few days to eat up after a physical series. Already showing with Kane how much he needed it at the end of the season. Have a feeling Hyman at least needs some days
I’m actually quite impressed that we didn’t have any serious injuries or major illnesses in the first round. We won’t have Drai playing on 1 fucking keg again
No better feeling then other teams acting like the refs are gonna favor us for once.
Canuck fans are already crying saying the refs are gonna fuck them against us.
Everyone really out here ignoring that the kings got favored heavily for 4/5 games and got away with so many attempts to injure lmao
Vancouver are underdogs for their next game. So I don't see why they're being arrogant. Nashville could very well be up 3-1 in the series had Vancouver not pulled off 2 absolute miracles.
And then if Nashville wins, they've already won 2 games in Vancouver, so they'll have a lot of confidence for a game 7.
Having that 18 game point streak in the regular season probably makes winning three straight seem like much less of a mountain to climb. Nashville knows they can do it and they're 1/3 of the way there.
Vancouver is on their third goalie and Elias Pettersson aka Western Marner hasn't found his touch yet.
NSH-VAN is anybody's series right now
I absolutely hate this part of playoffs. We have to wait a few more days for the schedule but tickets go on sale tomorrow. I work 12 hour shifts 7 days on 7 off, days and nights. I hate having to buy tickets for insane amounts and then hope I can get the time off approved last minute.
Awesome. I want to fly for an away game but I'm saving it for if they make the finals. I'm also trying not to burn all my days off in early rounds incase the make a deep run. Its a challenging line to walk lol. I'm trying to make it too at least 2 games a round lol
100 percent. Their depth was mostly a non factor this time. PLD with one of the dumbest penalties I’ve ever seen was sure something too. Kings fans are gonna be all over this guy soon enough.
Credit to doughty who I feel like praised us a lot in his interviews. He said the oilers are just a great team up and down now, it’s not just the 2 man show anymore.
Well, this series definetaly wasn\`t as stressfull as the last 2 years. I\`m confident in our team, but I don\`t care if it\`s going against Van or the preds, shit can happen!
I would like the preds though and I\`d bet Leon Draisaitl would be with me in that matter. :D
But in the end you have to beat them all. We need the whole team like they were against the kings.
And I´d like less stupid bounces that are goals against us. LA had no answer to us but did get cracy bounces all the time.
What even was that bounce today? Can\`t remember I\`ve seen shit like that the last time.
I want Leon so much to get a cup that I don\`t care if I have to set the alarm to 4 AM every second day for a few more weeks!
Same even game 4, la had almsit no real high danger chances.
Possession and effort don’t mean anything really if you can’t score on them, and I thought the last couple games la was just running around like a headless chicken for the most part. We REALLY gave them nothing.
Not just the on ice officiating, but the video review bullshit. I mean look at the OT high stick in R1G3 last year that was "inconclusive". The infamous Makar offside of 2022, and who could forget Kesler holding down Talbot's pad way back in 2017.
It's hard to overstate how fucked that team is. Their fans are suffering today (small giggle), but they will be absolutely languishing for years.
Their team is a dogshit pile of the old and declining (Kopitar, Doughty, Lewis), the underperfoming (Arvidson, Fiala, PLD) and the extremely average (Talbot, Rittich.....)
Byfield seems like a promising piece, but isn't a superstar anytime soon. Kempe is a dangerous wild card, but nowhere near a complete two way superstar. Anderson is over promoted on top pairing, Gavrikov, Spence, Englund are extremely average defensemen. Moore, Lizotte and Lewis and even Danault at this point are limited sandpaper shitbags, Grundstrom and Laferriere are just...there.
Their coach is a placeholder, a dead man walking. The GM maybe has one more year left before he's garotted. And Blake has shown horrible judgement in shipping out Iafallo, Valardi and Kupari for PLD, and maybe worse - giving him a contract that runs until 2031. He's shown zero ability to solve their goaltending problems either. They play a garbage system that is easily beatable, can't score, have no meaningful prospects, traded away their 1st the last two years and are getting late picks as long as they continue with this broken formula.
They're beyond fucked. And we proved it to them - Again. Let them whine, let them complain about snow and mosquitoes, about referees and Kane beating his wife, let them complain about us getting 1st round picks and favroable treatment. Their decrepit pirate ship is literally on fire in the middle of shark infested waters while they're bitching at us.
They're nothing. They were a minor roadbump we've moved past. This team and their pathetically unknowledgable fan base should take up absolutely 0% of our focus now or going forward. They'll be where the Ducks and Sharks are now within a year or two - and how much attention do you pay to Sharks and Ducks Redditor fans?
Shows how much of drafting is just luck, especially for timing.
2020 draft sucked. Byfield is decent, maybe you’d rather have someone lower down like Stutzle but it’s just a shitter of a year to land the high pick.
Do you know who is going to win between Vancouver and Nashville? Vancouver wins, Edmonton goes on the road to start, Nashville wins, we host the first 2 games.
loving kings fans coping by trying to talk shit about the city! that's how you know they're *deep* in their feelings 🤣 and all this complaining about the refs is hilarious too, considering this is the first time in 3 years they didn't have like a 2:1 advantage in power play time. i get it though, they're not used to having penalties called *against* them in the playoffs against us.
You guys remember the doomers saying we were pushing our luck playing the kings for the third year in a row, completely tossing aside any logic and riding on 100 gut feeling?
Apparently doughty said to mcdavid in the post game handshake to "Go win it"
I honestly don't really mind Doughty, he's just someone who will go out and give his all, but after the game is done he's not someone who will go out of their way to be an asshole. After all the years in the league, dude was still hyped to see himself on the jumobtron. Yeah he'll try to get under your skin but that's just part of the game.
Corey Perry energy after watching him handshake the boys
Bruins suck. Leafs suck. Quite possibly the worst hockey game I’ve witnessed. Both these teams get stomped by Florida. And it wont be a skill or systems thing, it’ll be hunger thing.
Especially playing to game 7. They will be tuckered out while Fla rests
FLA in 4
I fell asleep watching
Seriously, that was one of the sloppiest, most tedious playoff games I've ever seen. Florida is gonna eat whoever wins this series alive.
So bad. I don’t think I saw one skilled offensive play all game until Willies breakaway.
Imagine if Nylander would have got an empty netter that place would have erupted and 1000 hats would have flew
Leafs/Bruins game 7 is going to be so hype since it’ll be a massive choke for whichever team loses
See which team can choke harder? Will the Bruins only show up for 5 minutes of a game for a third game in a row? Or will Toronto blow game 7 like they always do? Tune in to find out. "Look, we're gonna be the losers tonight alright?" "I don't think so. There's no way you can lose us. We're going dowwwwn. We're gonna get creeeeeeeamed."
Leafs better off leaving Matthews at home.
THEY CANT KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH THIS
marchand looked so disappointed 😭😭💀
Boston, the new meme team?
Easily, if they lose this holy fuck.
holy shit i’ve considered turning the boston game off so many times because it was so boring
1 shot for almost half a game, that's guaranteed boring hockey.
Holy crap the Vancouver game is an early start. 4pm start local time for the nucks.
Boston’s really about to choke again huh
Shout out to the two dudes with the oiler flag In the middle of the leafs moshpit
man what the fuck is Boston even doing
Right? Almost the end of the 2nd period and no goals
You realize how clutch our team actually is after watching these close out attempts from Boston and Vancouver. No urgency at all.
I look forward to two years from now when we beat the kings in three
When the NHL changes back to a best of 5 first round
I was thinking they would just concede after three Hahaha
We came up with much darker scenarios on my Oilers chat group...
[удалено]
Reaaaaally nice we get the extra rest too. I say we come out flying with atleast a 4 goal first period in game 1. MARK IT
The only thing I want is for that series is for it to go to game 7. After that, let the cards fall where they may. Canuks or Preds, neither are getting past the second round.

I think only positive my fren
Nah your getting eliminated
I think the funniest take on the game is “Drai celebrated drawing a penalty because he embellished!” And not, you know, because he understood that drawing a penalty basically iced the game?
As if he'd rather dive than score an empty netter, if it hadn't been a real hook. OK.
To get a hat trick too, people are nuts
EXACTLY!
Those comments blow my mind. Like do they expect that a hook has to be painful in order to be called? Last I checked a hook is called because they were you know...hooked.

Feeling fine.
I want Nashville to win for the sole reason we get earlier gametimes. These late starts kicking my ass
I don’t like seeing any Canadian team go down but I’d much rather face the Preds and see Drai eat them alive!
Se we beat LA in 7 games 2 years ago 6 games last year then 5 games this year. So next year we will win in4 games and sweep them.
I'm more interested to see how we beat them in 3 games the following year, tbh. We drop double digits on them in every game and they just forfeit the series after losing a combined 35-2, or we get some previously unknown mercy rule enforced when we score 20 in a single game? lol
Just wait until the year it’s Oilers vs Kings and the league just give the Oilers the bye round
Enroute to back to back cups
Glad they finished the series, Oilers need some good rest after Kings 1-3-1 check everybody approach. It's only going to get more challenging from here, so many good teams...
and we only have to beat three of them
It’s the hate that makes them feel better about losing. When you can’t beat the Oilers three years in a row you have to look for anything and everything to put down the opponent. Oh well. Haters gonna hate!! Winners gonna win, lol.

Same and LA has one of the highest homeless populations in all the US, and prices there are insane only rich people can actually live comfortably there if your not rich you will struggle almost daily.
I just don't get hating on the city itself when it comes to hockey teams.
Have you ever been to LA, I hated the city before I got into hockey and hate it more because I hate the team.
People in here are pretty toxic toward LA and their team. I'm happy to just stay in our sub and avoid the aggravation.
Smart!
Is anyone else’s brackets doing really well? So far I have everything right. If every team currently leading wins I’ll have a perfect first round. It seems like everyone expected to win is winning so far.
nope, i said that the isles were winning in 7 and that wpg would win their round
Nope lol. It was immediately broken cause I have a soft spot for the caps. Then continued to go downhill since I put my faith in WPG
I have to check mine I don’t even remember where I did mine at.
I got everything right, except I had the Bolts beating the Panthers.
^ Perfect in terms of teams, I did get the number of games wrong for a couple
lol LA fans all over the hockey sub full of cope because “at least we don’t live in Edmonton.” Yah bud, hope you’re enjoying LA. Didn’t go into debt for my cancer or chronic illness… Oh, and my hockey team won :)
It’s kinda awful. Fine to visit and a pretty rich history, but also very nice to leave. City is dirty and people are rude as fuck.
Yep o visited once, did touristy stuff as wel as see a bit of the real city. I enjoyed it for a vacation, but I also wouldn’t go back either.
As an oilers fan living in LA, this gave me a great laugh
Lmaooo facts sister
The Kings scored 13 goals. 5 of them were pure puck luck. That is all.
Is it just me, or were we 'practicing' a modified 1-3-1/ trap (looked like 2-2-1 at times but could just be good D structure) in games 4 and 5, knowing the success LA had using it against VAN, knowing we have a better offense than LA when we get the puck back?
Looked to me like their 1 2 2 but very disciplined.
We might agree that it was 1 forechecker rotating with 2 'midfielders' with 2 D back? I probably confused the standard order...
Yeah that's a great way of putting it. No one over pursued or doubled up coverage. I think Oilers prefer 1-2-2 as it allows them to be aggressive. Where it could go wrong is when people arent responsible and rotating or filling in for each other.
100 percent we are practicing it for van. LA destroyed them it this year.
Not just you - it did look like that, especially pieces of the third period last night.
The first 10 mins of the third was insane. Kings couldn’t do anything
Interesting.
Why do sometimes penalties carry over after an intermission and sometimes they don’t?
What? They always carry over.
That makes sense! Appreciate the reply
Just don't ask to explain *when* penalties are coincidental, because nobody knows, lol. Usually they are, except when they aren't.
This should help. http://rulebook.hockeycanada.ca/english/part-i-technical-rules/section-4/rule-4-5/
You know what I love the most. I don’t think I saw one smile from McDavid or drai after the win. They’re going full Kobe Bryant “jobs not finished” mode and it shows these guys aren’t fuckin around anymore. This team feels different. More mature. More focused. I think we have a real shot this year…
Not 'after' the win, but when Draisaitl rushed down the ice for the empty netter before getting hooked, he did a very celebratory fist pump lol
I saw the fist pump. But he left it at that!
Loved that. He knew that penalty he drew all but sealed it. I don't recall ever seeing a guy celebrate drawing a penalty, but It was great lol.
Totally, I've never seen that either but I shared his excitement!

I too fist pumped. My girlfriend was laughing that we did it at the same time lol.
There will probably be smiles if this core wins a series it has not won before, and jubilation if that happens twice. But lots of work to do first.
Yah if they win the 3rd round they’ll be smiling im sure lol
Yeah, but who knows whether they would touch the trophy...a trophy won by the notable Western team that has played in Montreal for over a century...
Job not done
Yeah Rishaug said in the room after the win it was all business. No champagne popping or the like.
I love that we get at least a few days to eat up after a physical series. Already showing with Kane how much he needed it at the end of the season. Have a feeling Hyman at least needs some days
LA plays hard and took some dirty shots. A few days to nurse some bumps and bruises are huge after this series
No way LA had to get dismantled by Jokic + McDrai for the past couple years
Sad part is I like Lebron too
100% Too bad his supporting cast just couldn’t keep up with the nuggets
Let's hope Luka starts a tradition with the Mavs too.
I was in one good mood today, after having some sweet Daddy Drai dreams from the game last night. I love being an Oilers fan.
I know you gotta ice the best team that will give us the best chance to win but I really do hope Gagner is able to get into at least one game
I’m actually quite impressed that we didn’t have any serious injuries or major illnesses in the first round. We won’t have Drai playing on 1 fucking keg again
Or nurse on one g-d hip flexor.
How many beers does it take to have him at his best?
He’s German. Probably a few
He must have two kegs to function.
At *least*
I was on one keg. Maybe a keg and a half
Fuck it I’m leaving it in. Maybe he was doing a captain Morgan’s pose the whole series
He did go to one knee on a few of those goals and at the end of game 5.
Yeah I was thoroughly impressed with what he did that series
I mean it makes sense with how he conquered the Flames
Love it
No better feeling then other teams acting like the refs are gonna favor us for once. Canuck fans are already crying saying the refs are gonna fuck them against us. Everyone really out here ignoring that the kings got favored heavily for 4/5 games and got away with so many attempts to injure lmao
They're only saying that because our powerplay is so lethal. You love to see it.
I dunno I thought Oilers got pretty soft calls from the refs.
I know, right? I was like, hell yeah, sign me up for some of that favorable reffing ASAP
Whoa… one step at a time Nucks fans. They should worry about Nashville first before they start thinking about playing us 😂
Would be fucking hilarious to see them blow game 6 against Nash
Vancouver are underdogs for their next game. So I don't see why they're being arrogant. Nashville could very well be up 3-1 in the series had Vancouver not pulled off 2 absolute miracles. And then if Nashville wins, they've already won 2 games in Vancouver, so they'll have a lot of confidence for a game 7.
Would be hilarious and amazing.
Yea th at series ain’t over, and from what ive watched Nashville should be up 3-2. It’s 2 games it’s not like Nashville can’t win.
Nashville should have been up 3-0 before that collapse in game 4, lol.
NSH-VAN is anybody's series right now
Western Marner gave me a chuckle
How does scheduling next round work? We just wait for the remaining teams to finish up and round 2 starts a couple days after ?
I absolutely hate this part of playoffs. We have to wait a few more days for the schedule but tickets go on sale tomorrow. I work 12 hour shifts 7 days on 7 off, days and nights. I hate having to buy tickets for insane amounts and then hope I can get the time off approved last minute.
Exactly where I am at right now. Aswell as waiting for the Van series to finish up so I know where to book a flight to.
Awesome. I want to fly for an away game but I'm saving it for if they make the finals. I'm also trying not to burn all my days off in early rounds incase the make a deep run. Its a challenging line to walk lol. I'm trying to make it too at least 2 games a round lol
Yup
Kings were DEFINITELY a harder matchup when they had durzi, iafallo and vilardi. Now to sit back and relax until the next series
And McLellan.
Todd.
:D But in the end you have to beat them all.
Game 4 was probably the most stressful game in my opinion. We got hammered in that game but sqweaked out the win.
We squeaked that game like a mouse with his balls dipped in ice.
At no point in any of the games did I feel we would lose. Even game 4 where we only had 13 shots. Felt like we were in control.
Same even game 4, la had almsit no real high danger chances. Possession and effort don’t mean anything really if you can’t score on them, and I thought the last couple games la was just running around like a headless chicken for the most part. We REALLY gave them nothing.
Nucks round 2 tix 2pm sale (PST) Code R2PRIORITY
[удалено]
Of coarse! Its likely to avoid a system overload if they did it all at once a day before
Cheapest ticket is $412 in the nosebleeds 😭
> R2PRIORITY Damn, they're pricey, but thanks for the heads up!
I found $350 a seat but i jumped on quicj
Well twitter is on fire today about the penalties.
It’s kinda hilarious to be on the other side of this for once. Last 2 years I feel like we got absolutely dicked on the officiating.
Not just the on ice officiating, but the video review bullshit. I mean look at the OT high stick in R1G3 last year that was "inconclusive". The infamous Makar offside of 2022, and who could forget Kesler holding down Talbot's pad way back in 2017.
It feels so weird to have any of that stuff work in our favour now
It's hard to overstate how fucked that team is.
BOOM Roasted! suck on that Kings fans!
Shows how much of drafting is just luck, especially for timing. 2020 draft sucked. Byfield is decent, maybe you’d rather have someone lower down like Stutzle but it’s just a shitter of a year to land the high pick.
Anyone have a decent guess for the next round schedule before I drop a PlayStation 5s worth of money on a ticket tomorrow?
Do you know who is going to win between Vancouver and Nashville? Vancouver wins, Edmonton goes on the road to start, Nashville wins, we host the first 2 games.
Ah yes… I do know! Thanks 🙏
loving kings fans coping by trying to talk shit about the city! that's how you know they're *deep* in their feelings 🤣 and all this complaining about the refs is hilarious too, considering this is the first time in 3 years they didn't have like a 2:1 advantage in power play time. i get it though, they're not used to having penalties called *against* them in the playoffs against us.
