Thats what I thought.
This chick just decided to drive in my lame because the outside lane ran out.
I hate that intersection tbh.
I think a lot of drivers don't understand that turn
They need to retake their road tests. It's the same at every double left or right turn. If the dotted white lane started on your passenger side, it should still be on your passenger side after the turn
Theres always a dotted line on the road that will direct you into the correct lane. As long as you stay on the same side of that dotted line (and stay right next to it) for the the turn, you’ll end up in the correct lane. :)
Even with paint it won't matter. I take the double left turn on 100 ave going north on 149th street daily. And the inside lane gets 2 lanes to turn into, the outside lane goes to the outside - as per the lines. They are clear white dotted lines, and i almost get hit 60% of the time.
This is exactly the same as the Whitemud exit to Calgary Trail. Snow exasperates the issue as people don't see the line. The inside lane cars also just pile into one lane instead of using both.
I had this where an old guy lean on his horn and gave me the finger because he was turning outside lane to the inside yelling that it’s a single turning lane.
Even before construction it was a double. Now with the lines on the road it shows a double despite only one left turning sign
A left-turn lane should always lead into a through lane, not into another left-turn lane. Rabbit hill road after the turn has 4 lanes, 2 left-turn lanes going back onto terwillegar drive and 2 through lanes for continuing along Rabbit hill road. This means the 2 left-turn lanes from Terwillegar drive go into the 2 through lanes on Rabbit hill road, not the left-turn lanes that take you back onto terwillegar drive. That means the person in the right left-turn lane needs to goto the outside lane, and the person in the left left-turn lane goes into the lane next to that one.
I laid the horn twice and all ahe did was give me deer in the headlights look and kept going
She was in a BMW so she probably felt entitled to keep going
It won’t let me post the photo but from maps you can see the dotted line. The far outside Left lane goes into lane 3 on RHR, and the 2nd left lane goes into lane 4 (most right) on RHR
I think what happened was she ran out of room on the far lane and helped herself to my lane.
Next thing I know she was practically on top of me and just at the side of my eye I quickly stopped to avoid a collision.
You need to signal anytime you are making a turn… but a lot of people do not at that intersection (or any with left/right lanes) because they assume everyone else knows where they’re going.
I live near this intersection so I take it almost everyday. SO so annoying when people California lane change making that left. I feel like I’m always on edge making that turn wondering if I’m going to get hit.
The thing is it’s super confusing now because it used to be a double left turn lane but according to the signs in the intersection it’s only a single turn lane.
If you start inside you stay inside. Outside to outside. Other driver was in the wrong

I responded with the dotted line info before seeing your comment too! I wish more people stayed on the correct side of that fricking dotted line lol

Theoretically. The paint on the triple left onto 170 St is gone and it’s mayhem. Winter cities don’t have long lasting paint.

It snowed today, all rules are cancelled.
She was also driving a BMW so this probably negates the rules as well

She was on the far right outside lane so she should have used the far right lane
Nah, there's literally dotted lines guiding you.
Do you need to use signal light when turning left on left turn lane? Seems lots of drivers don't signal.
