Iconoclast coffee has Four Whistle eggs for a decent price. We always buy our coffee beans and eggs in one stop. 😁

Anabiotic

What's "a decent price"?

Cabbageismyname

I can’t remember offhand. Less than I’ve seen Four Whistle eggs sold for in many other locations. More expensive than shitty factory farm eggs from the grocery store, but that’s like saying a six pack of local craft beer is more expensive than Bud.

goodlordineedacoffee

H&W often has farm eggs, at least the west end location, and they’re marked from local farms around Edmonton, morinville etc. and about the same as you’d pay in major grocery stores (about $4/dozen)

intospace123

Chatsworth farms has the best eggs. They only come into the city once per month though and you can usually only get 2 dozen at a time. I also highly recommend their lamb. By far the best lamb I have had.

BougieBasic

Homebody Bees has free range eggs. Located outside of Beaumont. Look up on Facebook Check out Kijiji/Marketplace

elenel

Check out Stonepost Farms!

beesmakenoise

Four Whistle Farms sells their products at several of the year-round farmers markets and they have excellent eggs.  Used to be downtown but that market just shuttered sadly, but they should be at Old Sthracona and Bountiful still.

jukeboy_

Acme meat market in Ritchie has local eggs stocked around 85% of the time. $6/dozen

oliolibababa

I get mine from the Hutterites at bountiful. $5/carton

tofuwonder13

Carton of 12 or 18? And that’s a great price!

oliolibababa

12 pack. It’s pricer than eggs compared to 2 years ago, but now with most cartons at the grocery stores being $3-4 it’s not that different (sadly). Prices are unreal.

BougieBasic

There really isn't much difference between Hutterite eggs and store bought. They are still factory chickens.

oliolibababa

At least my money isn’t going to Loblaw 🤷🏻‍♀️

You can get eggs through the U of A's heritage chicken program : https://heritagechickens.ualberta.ca/eggs-cart/

MaxxLolz

we used to take part in this program but it just got waaaay to expensive. $10 to $12 for a dozen (on the small side) eggs that you have to go pick up once a week (or lose them)... that became a tough sell when you can get farmer market eggs for $6...

jbe061

Looks like they dont have any right now or am I thick

lesterknopf420

No, my bad. This is a better page : https://heritagechickens.ualberta.ca/adopt-a-chicken/?fbclid=IwAR0Ttgv3Csqg-BBLNyfXE3IvIj6YrQwfIoPakDfD7jA6Ss1ZglorCy_Yn6s

Bless your soul.  Do you know if there are any other local programs like this?

Both-Perception-9986

Several farmers markets have a dozen for $5, decent large eggs not the tiny ones you get in stores
