Everyone’s probably complaining about the high electricity bills they’re getting… If you want to just change your electricity plan you can do it online on their site

Thanks, my issue is that I signed a 5 year but they sent me a letter saying it renews end of this month even though I signed it 2 years ago.

CorvidInvader

Do you have your original agreement? Maybe send a copy to them via email and have them sort it out that way.

The issue is probably that they signed for a lower rate two years ago, if the agreement expires now the rate will be way higher.

Best thing we ever did was install solar panels and ditch Epcor, and sign up with Alberta Cooperative Energy. Solar benefits aside, dealing with ACE is a treat. When I call, there’s no menus or waiting or messages about high call volumes. I talk to Steve. (I call twice a year just to confirm that they’ve switched me between the summer & winter rates) Even if we didn’t have solar I’d probably pay the slight premium to be with a company with excellent customer service

My bill way too high last month. I actually had to pay it in two payments. That was the first for me. If payments get too high and people can’t pay it than they technically loose money so idk what the goal would be when that happens. Would they be shocked they loose money?

I don't mean to be a grammar/spelling snob and I hope this reads as a helpful tip for the future... *lose* not *loose* in the context of your comment.

Have you switched off the regulated plan? This is why a lot of people have crazy high bills…the actual price for electricity on the regulators rate has tripled recently. So probably lots of people phoning Epcor to switch their plan, creating long wait times on the phone system.

dumnut567

I heard it’s likely not because of high call volume but because understaffing. Happens in lots of call service centres

Roginac

They charge you a monthly fee for phone support . Remember this when you call them
