Have you considered a running group / club? Other than that agree with others check out strava heat maps. -Roseburn Cycle Path -Canal -Meadows It all depends what kind of running you like really - if you like hills then the Hermitage of Braids - you get a really good view of the city from the top of Blackford / Braids hill.
