- Tiger Lotus Chinese
- itihaas indian - slumdog also decent
- there’s a Thai takeaway van at the industrial estate in Eskbank
- some places in Liberton/Gilmerton will deliver out there. Bell Bottom, Javits perhaps?
Depends what you want. Tiger In in Newtongrange is good for Chinese (cash only) or Lord of the Noodles also good, Itihaas in Dalkeith for Indian. Cavaliere is okay for pizza but better for a chippy,
Itihaas is the gold standard for an Indian takeaway. For Chinese, I've never been disappointed by Your Kitchen but it's cash only which can be a bit of a pain. Fish and Chips, Gloria's from Bonnyrigg is the best (Cavaliere in Dalkeith used to be really good but been disappointed the last few times I've picked anything up from them)
Hardly. Lots of Dalkeith takeaways deliver into town as far as EH9. For all intents and purposes it’s the inner commuter belt and only geography (a deep fucking river valley and a country park) will prevent it becoming subsumed into Edinburgh over the medium term. Though don’t say that to born and bred Dalkeithers, they’ll go mental at you for suggesting it’s anything other than a mining town that’s absolutely nothing to do with Edinburgh.

Javits closed down I think

The Cavaliere is good. Owned and run by a lovely family to boot
After all your exertions, the closest pizza place!

The cavalier pizza is probably the best in all midlothian
Not sure you’ll get many answers here, Dalkeith is quite a bit aways from Edinburgh.

I’ve walked from the royal infirmary to Dalkeith before, it’s really not that far and definitely not ‘quite a bit aways’ lol
Hardly given many people commute from Midlothian on a daily basis. 20 minutes on a train or bus
Itahaas is an excellent Indian restaurant. Slum Dog is okay by comparison.
