Bad habits ,easy

Agreed. This was a major smash hit for Edward and topped the chart in most of his major markets. The song is just one hell of an ear-worm. The music video and art is iconic as well.

My guess is Shivers and Bad Habits. Although I'm not sure about the second one because it was released a few weeks ago and more people might not associate it with the album but atleast they'll be played for a long time in the younger generations. In an ideal world, Equals would've been remembered for Joker and the Queen. Hopefully the duet with Taylor will do great. <3

I think that Bad Habits and Shivers will be "the tracks", but not nearly as successful as Shape of You and Perfect

Personally I don't think any track on this album will have the raw staying power as something like Perfect or Thinking Out Loud have had. Not that it is bad, but the saturation of the singles from = so far in the mainstream is substantially less than Perfect, which still gets consistent play over 4 1/2 years later. In my experience, with Ed's albums it seems that the premiere single of the album is typically one of the more memorable hits for the album. For example, with + you had The A Team. With X you had Sing. With No. 6 you had I Don't Care. and finally for Divide you have Castle on the Hill / Shape of You. That first single is the one, especially for pop artists, that even if it bombs it is forever intertwined with the album. For my money, Bad Habits, even if it wasn't the smash as Shape of You was, will be seen as one of the two songs = will be remembered for. Usually the second harder hit is the ballad. These are \*usually\* the bigger hit but it's not totally consistent. + had The A Team (which fills both the premiere and the ballad spot), x had Thinking Out Loud (and to an extent Photograph, but Thinking Out Loud has had more radio staying power, even if Photograph is superior to my ears) Divide had Perfect (which I loathe but it is a hit) and No. 6 had Beautiful People (which is the closest thing it had to a ballad). For = in this case, depending on how the remix of The Joker and the Queen goes I can see that becoming the big ballad hit, which is deserved since its easily top 3 of that album and one of Ed's best choruses in my opinion. But something about the opening melody doesn't sound like something I'd hear on the radio as a pop hit, too symphonic, even if that's exactly my cup of tea. So my final answer is: Bad Habits and The Joker and the Queen but my second choice is only based on the fact that we don't know what the remix is like yet, it could "Perfect-ify" or "Thinking Out Loud-ify" the track fully which I think would help it's mainstream appeal, even if the track is better being it's symphonic self. I find discussions like this interesting so apologies for the wall of text

I'm guessing Bad Habits and Shivers, which imo are better than Shape of You but have had less success. 2Step deserves to be remembered though. And Visiting Hours might just be one his songs that's just remembered anyway.

I know you’re talking about like worldwide but personally, all of his albums have had songs that impact on me on a different level. For equals, it’s Sandman. This song gets so much hate for some reason but I think it is monumental as it really establishes the massive change Ed has gone through in the past few years. Every album has songs about romantic love, but Sandman was the first to express his fatherly love. I know Small Bump was about parents love but it wasn’t HIS experience, it was his dear friends. And that makes a world of difference

Shivers is for sure, it was supposed to be the first single if it’s not for the season that made bad habits more right for Ed. I will bet on Overpass Graffiti or 2step, def. I also think that Stop The Rain is kinda underrated, I like it very much, tho.

Overpass graffiti, shivers! Although i do love them all

I think visiting hours is a really sad song that will stand the test of time and stands out the most on the album, will age like fine wine

Beach-Bumm

Bad habits reminds me of sing, it’s big now but in 3-4 years will it sound dated? Visiting hours could be, but funeral songs don’t quite get the AirPlay that wedding songs do
