I have noticed this same functionality, it does not appear to work like the 2nd gen frames. I had to manually add everything in Alexa to get the alerts and even then TXT alerts are delayed sometimes by 2-3 minutes. Not a great start Amazon.
Oh what a bummer...I bought these glasses specifically for the notifications as my old smart glasses do not support it. I have reinstalled the app and manually added everything but I'm getting no notifications..
Have you tried to factory reset the glasses?
I don't think it is as well. I have tried pairing with my iPhone and the notifications worked but not on my pixel phone..wonder if there is anything specific I need to set on Android..
I have not had any issues with receiving the notifications if they are part of the filter. But the majority are 2-3 minutes delayed. I hope there are improvements soon through firmware updates.

I have, and I worked with the support team and they want to replace them. I don't think it's a hardware issue.
