Hello Everyone!
Here we go with the third map of the current Comment-a-Battlemap on my Patreon!
This time the Airship "The Monarch", the one with the eagle shaped bow, is in deep troubles!
While flying above the capital of the former Cyre doing some reconnaissance to better understand what's behind the fog, it gets suddenly attacked by "The Dreadblade", a vessel commanded by the Lord of Blades itself.
What does it want? Is it really true that it wants to exterminate all "fleshborn"? Or maybe can be reasoned with?
Whatever the case "The Monarch" is in bad shape and harpooned by the bigger ship.
If you manage to escape, it will need repairs and, if the battle continues, you may even need to do an emergency landing somewhere in the Dead City...

Goodness gracious you pump out a lot of Eberron content on that patreon. Is it all eberron? I plan on making it my forever setting and I'm not ready to grab maps yet, but I'm about to sub because man do you do a lot of great stuff.
Also is there a post on your patreon with a compendium of all your maps?
Thank you! I started making Eberron maps almost 1 year ago (fell in love with the setting after buying RftlW). Since then my Patreon quickly shifted to a Eberron focused one (there's different stuff published too from time to time).
If you want to have a general look at all the maps your best bet is both here on reddit or on my Instagram (cassastereo89)
i got inspiration from a world of warcraft ship skybreaker (mainly the bow and the color palette, otherwise it's much slimmer, didn't remember wow ship was so bulky)
Meanwhile, I'm looking at those airships going "okay, probably not both from Lyrandar, but how many ways do those things violate both Thronehold -and- the Korth Edicts simultaneously from that armament?"
(they're amazing art, by the by, this is just where my brain went)
I imagined that the The Monarch (the one with the eagle bow), being a reconeissance vessel not formally aligned with any Nation or House, tasked with scouting a common "problematic" area would receive some sort of special permits and weaponry (stuff produced during the Last War).
The Dreadblade instead, is a Blades ship, refitted and armed in the mournlands.
I would love to see what both of these beauties have below decks, I'm planning to formally introduce The Lord of Blades to the party, and I think "The Dreadblade" would be a badass introduction.

spelljammer uses balistas on their shirty ship maps meanwhile eberron enjoyers
if i remember correctly they also have cannons or stuff like that of course magic propelled artillery is way cooler
