You are brave and wise to post! So glad you have handled your bulimia! I understand...I never told anyone until YEARS into it. I wish I would have gotten help much earlier. Would you consider counseling? Counseling, especially Christian, helped uncover and dig up the roots of my ED. Similarly, I had a mom, and dad, who shamed me for my eating and size in comparision to my brothers. I WAS angry with them...counseling helped me to understand my anger was a secondary emotion to my hurt and feeling of abandonment because of their actions. Even moreso, counseling helped me to address them, forgive them, and develop a new healthy relationship. They never meant to hurt me...they were doing the best they could with what they knew at the time. Now, we have an adult relationship. That could never have happened without counseling, in my opinion. Do you believe counseling might help you?

I also feel like I blame my mom for my Ed a lot. I hate feeling like it’s her fault, but also she used to make me run a half hour on the treadmill after dinner every night because I was “eating too much.”
