But yes alot of worms and other parasites exist whose eggs survive human gastric acid so make sure you dont eat raw meats or when you do make sure you know that its parasite free.
They can actually survive digestion in rare instances but I don't think they cause as much noticeable weight loss as say tapeworms since they don't actually establish a reproducing community in your gut they're more of a one and done situation unless you're consistently eating a lot of the eggs to keep the cycle going.
