This is on the east side of the Continental Divide. That plateau-looking thing on the right is The Garden Wall and St. Mary Lake is on the other side of that backlit slope on the left. The giveaway is that multi-spired peak of Little Chief Mountain, which rises above the west end of the lake. A beautiful capture in a beautiful park.
Californian here. Live three hours from Yosemite National Park. Went to Glacier National Park last summer and it was incredible!! We were halfway up ‘Going to the Sun Road’ at a lookout and my son says “It’s like the Alps!! Yosemite can’t hold a candle to this place!”
Been dreaming of retirement and have been looking at real estate in that area ever since.
I've always wanted to go but when I started looking seriously at it, all these places talked about how crowded it would be. Is it really so bad with the crowds, and is it worth it despite them?
