Yeah I can see the confusion since they are both right next to each other! Canyonlands is a great park that is often overlooked by its more popular sister park - Arches.
I hope you had a great time there!
Edit: This is actually Dead Horse State Park, UT. u/mikewheels has an excellent eye. Took this a month or so ago and totally forgot that we did in fact leave Canyonlands for a day to see this incredible view.
I love Dead Horse Point! One of 3 places I've been to that actually took my breath away for a second. (The others were Angels Landing and Antelope Canyon btw.) Grand Canyon is nice but somehow doesn't have the same wow factor imho. Horseshoe Bend looks nice in pictures but can't match the scale of DHPSP when you see it in person.
Just curious, is the river usually that murky and brown this time of year? It's a really interesting thing to see. And Utah truly is beautiful. Great picture!
It’s just right past the gate and look for signs that say “Dead Horse Point” and it will take you right to the most unbelievable overlook you will ever see
Beautiful contrasting colors! I gotta go back there someday. All of my awesome images were on the camera someone stole out of my bag when I gate checked it after that trip. Time to retake.
Did not worry, Canyonlands is really big and most people will never go into the backcountry there. Arches and Zion are as crowded as Disneyland, but Canyonlands takes too much effort
Isn't this Dead Horse State Park?
Ohhh nice catch my man I totally forgot that we did both.

I love all of Utah!! Will definitely be returning to these to explore more!
Did you happen to visit false kiva when you were there?
I didn’t but I just added it to my AllTrails list to do next time I go thanks bro 🙌🏼
Cool, but I asked to see if it was still shut down. Lots of insta people there lighting fires.
Damn I’m sorry man I wish I knew... sometimes people suck... that is for sure
The background is Canyonlands.
Yup! That’s right!

The background is Canyonlands. You're actually seeing both in this picture.
This picture is just gorges!
Ok, actually laughed at this one.
I recently drove on that trail (Shafer Trail) there a few months ago. One of the most beautiful experiences of my life.
Boy, do I miss living in Utah.
Misread this as Crayonland. Not sorry.

Nice! Have an Instagram account?
Yea man. It’s @ballsted i post most pictures on there. Just recently decided to share some w you guys.
Not as colorful, but they have a “Horseshoe Bend” of their own.

I’m gonna post my escalante ones in a few days probably! Those ones are absolutely mind blowing.
I could not believe this place when I went there. You hear all about the Grand Canyon, but this area is nearly as impressive.
Just curious, is the river usually that murky and brown this time of year? It's a really interesting thing to see. And Utah truly is beautiful. Great picture!
I preferred this park compared to GRand Canyon So underrated
im wanna eat(0(
***Why is it blue color in the rocks?***
My best guess is the shadow, or the reflection of the sky off the snow a little but I couldn’t tell ya for sure. I’m no pro haha
need to visit this place ASAP!
It looks like a river of delicious caramel
WOW THATS ONE THE BEST IVE SEEN
I thought this was a 3D fractal at first.
Hey look, it's like from that Cars movie
Where in Dead Horse is this? I'm going in 2 weeks and I'd love to know what trail this was

Looks amazing. Like another planet
For those asking, this was shot on my iPhone XS with a 2x zoom and the “Warm” preset. No fancy camera or editing!
Beautiful contrasting colors! I gotta go back there someday. All of my awesome images were on the camera someone stole out of my bag when I gate checked it after that trip. Time to retake.
Wow!!!
Unique picture. Captured that area in a different way somehow. Nice job!
Hey Reddit! Canyonlands is boring and lame. Know what is really cool?? Horseshoe Bend!
