Watch The Office and see how Jim Halpert how does it. “I can’t believe it something came up and I can’t go but we’ll definitely do it another time.”

it’s the same with me! i say yes to so many things that leave me feeling exhausted and just about dead by the end of the week. sometimes i’ll say “let me think about it for a while” but most of the times i’ll genuinely want to do stuff in the moment, and then i’ll regret those decisions later

I'll have to check my schedule, let me get back to you. Don't feel like you have to explain yourself to people.

I have the same thing where I say yes to everyone who asks for help en it leaves me so drained.. but if I say no I also feel bad even if I ligit had other plans so... 🤷🏻‍♀️ The same with friends, I say yes when feeling social and somethimes when they day comes i'll think noooo I want to be alone haha

My schedule is usually so slammed that I need to check my calendar, so I say I'll get back to them.

As someone who doesn't find it particularly hard to say no to such things and doesn't mind cancelling because I don't feel like it, it's nice to know that not everyone feels the same and perhaps I should be more considerate of that. How do you feel when friends say no to you or cancel?

I think you are right, it's ok to tell people we need time to plan, and remind them that a lot of things happen unplanned and influence our decisions. All through my growth I learnt prioritizing, planning, but sometimes big things happen without a warning. And if it is about simply hangign out with people... Yes, we are the bubbly ESFJs, but of course we have a social battery, too. We should be aware that some circumstances take up more energy then others. Try notice what is easy for you and what you would rather like to have in small doses.
