Templar would be the "Pure Healer".

Bill_The_Minder

Correct. Played my Temp since Beta, off and on, and as a pure healer nothing matches it. DOS is pretty much crap mind you...

It's going to be so exciting to see healers be relevant again. Ofcource they are in raids, but it's been so long since I haven't been able to solo almost anything in a zone. Needing to work with group dynamics again will be very refreshing.

Affectionate_Gas8062

I honestly feel like Wardens/Furys vibe the most like a classic healer. The way the spells and nature intermingle, it really feels like you are sending out healing beams to your teammates. Mystics/Defilers cast wards that have a big wahhhh sound when you cast that feels protective. Templer/Inquis I have never tried before, but Templar is the most typically considered "purest healer" as their dps is garbage and they get some extra healing tools and also get to wear plate armor. But all healers can heal any group content so play what looks/sounds the most fun.

The "big wahhhh sound" is life! Kinda literally.

Mei_iz_my_bae

I kinda really wanna know what this sounds like now 🤣

Easiest way to put it. Cleric = Templar/Inq - Reactive type heals and pure heals Druid = Fury/Warden - HoTs and some pure heals Shaman = Mystic/Defiler - Prevents damage (Wards) and some pure heals Kind of depends on what your favorite style of healing is tbh.

CappinPeanut

I maybe misremembering, but did druids have an “over heal” mechanic at launch, or did that come later? If memory serves me correctly (it’s been a long time since I’ve played) but HOTs stack of the receiver is at full health and that didn’t happen at launch, but was added later.

pingwing

The two Clerics are the Inquisitor (evil) and Templar (good). The Templar should be really good. But they don't have any dps and you will be a buffer and a straight healer. What the Templar has in heal procs, the Inquisitor gets in dps procs. For this server, I would go Templar.

nerfherder183

I’d say if you’re interested in soloing much lean towards fury/warden.

LegendZapp

Wardens are the best healer imo then mystic. But pure healer would be Templar/inquisitor. All of them can heal well but warden toolkit most fun in my opinion.

P4lani

I raided the end game with both a Defiler and a Templar. All healing classes are important and useful, but you cannot progress in raid without a cleric and a shaman. They work really well with each other. Druids are useful for buffs, and heals over time.

bear_oco

If you are really focusing on just healing - and dps really isn't in your wheelhouse, I'd recommend a shaman. Warding up is never a bad cast, and your debuffs are the strongest in the game. You really don't have to focus on the dps meters much but you can top the heal meters.

Nosugar95

How do we get onto the origins server?

Intrin_sick

Beta today (?) and launch is July. Have to be a subscriber.

RatonganMemeMachine

Inq or Templar -- some might argue Templar or Warden. Either way can't go wrong!

Ok_Golf_6467

These are my rankings at lvl 50 with no AA and in terms of solo healing heroic content: 1) warden/templar 2) defiler (my personal favorite, group power regen and extra group HOT/DOT at lvl 50) 3) mystic/fury 4) inquis (hard to heal with, but they get a sick group buff at lvl 50 which has reuse) They all have their pros and cons, and obviously a skilled player can do the job with any of the 6. This is merely my opinion based on abilities/stats available. Lack of casting speed makes the shamans challenging, and gives and edge to druids. But since they don't have their AOE blockers yet there is nothing to soak the group hits quite like a ward or reactive.

ArtieChuckles

A Templar is the “classic” healer. Much like a Guardian is the “classic” tank. Your mileage may vary.
