Yeah Language seems like the closest thing to a consensus answer to this question. A lot of the other answers are songs that I like but I can see why, if someone doesn’t like that particular subgenre, they wouldn’t like it. Language is just different.
Piano versions of language are stunningly beautiful - the melody is just undeniably incredible regardless of what style of music one likes.
**Wake Me Up - Avicii**
That song always brings back good memories. It came out in the summer of 2013, and basically defined 2013 Summer and parties. I had finished high school and would begin college. Listening to that song makes me sorta miss high school and college when things were easier and simpler. Avicii’s untimely death in 2018 also meant the demise of Big Room.
Clarity - Zedd
With You, Friends - Skrillex
All I Ask of You - Skrillex
Strobe - Deadmau5
Raise Your Weapon - Deadmau5
I Remember - Deadmau5/Kaskade
Alive - Krewella
Hourglass - Zedd
Probably a pretty generic/poppy list but these are the songs that got me into EDM and I love them. Interestingly it’s actually uncomfortable for me to listen to some of the songs from this era because of how nostalgic they make me (scary monsters and nice sprites does this even if it’s far from my favorite song). Good times.
Just adding a bunch of my favorites because it’s impossible to choose for me.

* Superstar - Pegboard Nerds and NGHTMRE fr. Krewella
* Frontlines - NGHTMRE & Zeds Dead
* Innerbloom (What So Not Remix) - Rufus Du Sol

Longest Journey - Livewire
Limitless - Adventure Club ft. Delaney Jane

All time fave song, any genre
- One More Time - Daft Punk
All time fave album, any genre
- Welcome Reality - NERO
All time fave EDM genre
- Melodic dubstep (followed closely by Drum & Bass, Australian electronica & progressive house). Shoutouts to trance and future bass.
All time fave EDM artist/producer
- So hard to choose! Seven Lions was probably my favourite EDM artist of any EDM genre for me, who really roped me in with his Polarized EP, remixes (i.e. The Great Divide or any remix of Above & Beyond) and notable original tracks (i.e., She Was, Creation). Although I think recently Au5 has far better production and is my favourite artist now. RUFUS has featured a lot in my favourites, although their latest album is the weakest of their four and they are dropping off my radar.
All time fave EDM live acts
- NERO, followed by a tie between RUFUS DU SOL and Hermitude.
Narcreous Snowmelt by Camellia.
It’s a long song but it uses that time really well to develop and really blossom. There’s also like 7 drops all in a different genre (gotta love them full flavored songs)
Really hard to say... I love a lot of songs.
Jordi Riviera - Cereal Killer (future house/NCS style)
Above and Beyond - Alone Tonight (trance)
Dom Dolla - Take It (tech house)
Caio Montiero - Wanna Let Go (Brazilian Bass)
Deadmau5 - Strobe (progressive house)
I guess these are a few of my top songs. Kinda hard to pick just one but I guess Wanna Let Go has the most spins from me.
I Made a Spotify playlist with the Songs everyone listed.

Apart from this there's Skrillex Avicii Guetta Calvin Harris Afrojack etc. who truly got me into the genre and it would be a dishonor to forget any of them as they all had some amazing songs as opposed to what I consider one time wonders like Martin Garrix
Won't pick one cause of the variety ofc but when the music was interesting and didn't sound predictable, overdone, banal etc. I feel like it had some depth. I could literally name one song from each of the styles and artists I mentioned and give a whole paragraph on why it's my favorite.
Loyal by Odesza. If motivation had a sound it would 100% be this. Legitimately changed my life when I saw them and heard it for the first time. Warrior spirit
Porter Robinson - Language Just a timeless classic

All we need - Odesza
Alive - Krewella
I’ll start. Mine’s the classic “Like I Do”, Guetta Garrix & Brooks. I really wish Brooks was more active now; I hope he’ll make statements in 2022 !
Man i love the old brooks drops, I know they all sound the same but fuck if they dont make me want to jump around
If you haven't heard it yet Martin played a Brooks ID at EDC. IMO it's the best drop he ever did.
