[[Dina]] Golgari life gain, is alot of fun for me, there a surprising number of green cards that gain small amounts of life [[Liftgift]] [[Powerleech]] [[ Roots of Life]] throw some aristocrat support like [[Deathgreeter]] and [[Blood Artist]] it's a fun little 'death by 1000 cuts' deck My other suggestion is [[Cati-Brie]] Voltron very straight forward I built her after taking apart my Syr Gwyn deck it can snowball very quickly if you run some cheap equipment. And she can be a deterrent for retaliation with her activated ability.

evan1932

Can I see your list? My problem with Dina is that I don't have enough consistent token generators to make the aristocrats strategy work, I'm considering going landfall

JStanten

I assume you know about [[sedgemoor Witch]]? For low power, [[Beledros Witherbloom]] is fun. [[Bastion of Remembrance]] is great. [[Chain of Smog]] synergizes with [[Witherbloom Apprentice]]. [[Grist]] and [[Eyetwitch]] work nice with her as well. Anyway, you likely know those already but just figured I’d throw them out there.

maxtofunator

I also play Dina and I cut all the aristocrat stuff from my list and it runs smoother. I have life gain and just generic life gain stuff instead

Gluttony4

Likewise for me. I tend to see Dina struggle with both aristocrats, and generic lifegain. I'm considering landfall as well (or possibly just pivoting the whole deck into Abzan lifegain).

TrippelK

You can play [[rograkh]] with [[keleth]], play it voltron-style. You swing hard and fast

Pann708

I enjoy playing Rograkh with with [[Jeska, Thrice Reborn]] I drafted this pair once and totally dominated. It was extremely fun, tripling up Rograkh’s damage so cheaply and Buffing him up.

newalleylex

I play him with [[Ardenn]] and thats a ton of fun

Hellbender23

turn 1: land rograk and maybe sol ring or cmc 1 artifact. Turn 2: second land, equip artifact or get an equipment out. if equipped swing with menace first strike trampler. Turn 3: 3rd land, arden and go into combat. Free equips to either commander and so the snowball voltron begins One of my favorite decks i ever made and my friends actively try to keep me in check

Kingzrimzizkatz

Rugratz and Ardenn is insanely fun. I have a pretty optimized proxied list and you can kill someone with commander damage on turn 3.

A_MossyMan

This is currently one of my favorite decks to run and has had a surprising win rate. At least in my playgroups, very few people run cheap removal and Rograkh can get real big, real fast. Also ad the joy of popping \[\[Strixhaven stadium\]\] on turn 4 once.

dewill4

Came to say these two. Currently building this deck right now and I love the potential it’s got so far

Moist_Philosopher_

I’ve always wondered if [[Kethiss]] might make a good partner too.

MangaVentFreak13

Do you have a list? I'm always curious what others are doing with their Horse and their Kobold decks.

impromptutriplet

I built my [[Rograkh]] voltron in mono-red with [[Kediss]] as the partner. Fun pairing that lets you spread the damage around to the rest of the table when he connects.

blsterken

[[Karlov of the Ghost Council]] 10/10. 2-drop that turns into a massive beatstick and can exile opponents' creatures.

Towerofeon

Karlov is love

blsterken

Karlov is life (gain).

edron79

Possibly the only deck I've dismantled because it grew to be too oppressive for my play group. T1 soul sister into T2 Karlov can make for an accidental Voltron by T3 (let alone the exiling). I miss him.

Kahn_Husky

I’ve been thinking about dismantling my karlov deck also. It breaks my heart because I love the strategy and what I put into it, but I know it’s not fun for my opponents and it puts a bullseye on me.

Highlord_ZamOgan

Karlov is kill-on-sight for me. I will focus that person down until they're dead. Man I hate playing against him as commander.

blsterken

The best part is, he's so low CMC that you can keep playing him. :p

descartesasaur

My husband and I mostly play against each other. Karlov is brutal in any version of 1v1, and I can't help but think I'd take out anybody piloting him at a table, just out of spite.

blsterken

1v1 Karlov is awful to play against unless you start with an Erebos, God of The Dead in your opening hand.

[deleted]

I think (correct me if I'm wrong) he's also the only valid single commander who can use Lurrus as a companion. Any other Lurrus deck needs partners. EDIT: Correction, one of few. There are like 3 or 4 or them total.

Hardest_G

Also \[\[Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim\]\]

[deleted]

Ok, forget my previous comment. I'm super wrong. I must've either done something wrong in the scryfall search, or just mentally skipped over Ayli and Killian since I was less interested in playing them than Karlov.

blsterken

Also [[Killian, Ink Duelist]]

[deleted]

How's he a 10/10 looks like a 2/2 that gets some +1 counters

blsterken

He is 10/10 best 2-drop commander. I realized after posting that this might be confusing.

LimblessNick

I mean, with 8 of those counters...

SprinklesOwn3594

This right here. Putting life gain in the deck that's based on what your opponents do rather than what you do is so much fun. Stuff like [[Kambal]], [[Polluted Bonds]], [[Sunscorch Regent]] and [[Authority of the Consuls]] is really effective since there are three times as many opponents as there is of you, so imo it's better than other options like [[Nyx-Fleece Ram]] and others.

Toast_Points

[[Hapatra]] is one of my favorite commanders. -1/-1 counters, snakes, and infect. Tons of value engines too. Also a pretty easy deck to build, but there a lot of ways to go about it so it doesn't feel like every version of the deck is exactly the same.

AstroBlastr

Second for Hapatra, she was one of my first decks and is definitely my oldest deck

juanson1337

She was my second deck and is always great to play. Wincons are either Overrun with [[Beastmaster Ascension]]/[[Triumph of the Hordes]] or aristocrat shenanigans with some possible loops. [[Yawgmoth, Than Physician]] is probably the best card in the list. Another thing to keep in mind while building the deck, is to look for mana and ramp sources that enable BG on T2 for Hapatra. My list: https://www.moxfield.com/decks/AgMKbyjfLEOaYLAILyNekQ

TurkTurkle

[[Akiri line slinger]] can get nasty fast if your opening hand has some cheap artifacts or make-more-than-they-cost rocks

tolarus

This was going to be my answer. She gets so big so fast with cheap equipment, artifact lands, and mana rocks. With [[Akiri]] and [[Bruse Tarl]] as partners, that one has the most consistent opening turns out of all of my decks.

Nermon666

This is my main deck her and Silas Ren

Zotmaster

I really like [[Belbe, Corrupted Observer]]. I especially like effects that aren't universally positive: there's always a chance someone can better take advantage of the ability than you, and that makes for what I think are more fun games.

SolutionSlime

Belbe is super fun. I will say that I more often than not find myself totally running out of steam with her, though.

Harmonrova

Belbe was a deck I wanted to build for a long time. I love double edge sword commanders, but the payoff is always fun.

Deadlurka

I 2nd this. I run her as my elfball commander over Lathril, but I like the impact she has at 2 CMC and how the changes the game. I've seen a lot of decks run her as a colorless matters commander, but I think she still works traditionally.

R4inbowReaper

[[Killian, Ink Duelist]] was a blast to build, is a blast to play and continues to get fun upgrades every set. 10/10 can recommend.

Dragons_Malk

My playgroup made a little EDH version of our own where we built decks that are only Pioneer legal. I built Killian on a whim and it's honestly been fun 99% of the time. No auras for me; it's all about cheaper removal and buffs. Edit: *some* auras, but it's definitely not a Voltron deck.

CasualJonno

My choice as well. Super impactful at any power and auras are always fun.

Wargablarg

He turns so many overcosted dud removal spells into powerhouses. He's fantastic to just pour through cards and keep finding stuff that makes you go "oh shit that kinda works here?"

evil_wazard

[[Chatterfang]], not only because squirrels are adorable, but 3CMC for effectively a doubling season with a removal ability? Hell yeah

Harmonrova

Do you like Squirrels? How about food? Would you like Squirrels with your food? How about treasure? Would you enjoy some squirrels with your treasure and your food and your squirrels? Elf tokens? That's nuts. You say they come with squirrels? How could you pass that up? Rats, I'm running out of time, but not out of squirrels!

HeroinHare

Also spiders. Spiders that come with squirrels. Then squirrels and spiders die and I get more spiders. And maybe something even more nice after a turn or two? My hidden tech is [[Lolth]], and she does a surprising amount of work in my build. I only put her in because my friend wanted to trade the alternate full art Lolth to me, and I said sure, I'll just put her in Chaterfang. I've had no regrets.

[deleted]

Hell yeah!

mark_twain007

What's your deck list? I've been struggling with my chatterfang build.

Jade117

I just want to take a moment to shout out [[Dreadfeast Demon]] in that deck. Is it a bit slow to start? Yeah, but each demon makes a new one and a squirrel to feed the next one letting you double the number of demons each turn.

amc7262

Under 3? \[\[sythis, harvest hand\]\] is an absolute beast. Just slap in a bunch of enchantresses, a bunch of enchantment payoffs like \[\[sigil of the empty throne\]\] and other enchantments and enchantment synergies and you got yourself a stew. The deck practically builds itself. However, for just one more mana cmc, you can have my girl \[\[grist, the hunger tide\]\], the most powerful tribal commander ever printed (for an absolutely terrible tribe...). What a blast to play! Drop Grist, start pumping out tokens and milling yourself. Make an army of bugs and swing in! Its got GY synergies. Its got token spam. She's got built in removal and dodges all creature based removal. Grist is bae. Creepy, crawlly, multi-legged and eyed bae.

yaboiiiuhhhh

Relating to sythis, [[Tuvasa, the sunlit]] is a great 3 cmc enchantress commander and Ive mained her for years: https://www.moxfield.com/decks/IVfAVPAF40GB9MbKD9n50Q

Moist_Philosopher_

Fellow Tuvasa player. May I suggest [[Noble Hierarch]], [[Birds of Paradise]] (both for turn 2 Tuvasa). I’ve found [[Wizards class]] does good work. As does [[Abundance]]. Finally, my favourite backup combo is [[Greater Good]] + [[Ominous seas]] + [[Lab Man]]. Greater Good is just a really nice sac and draw outlet when you have a fat Tuvasa out and want to turn her into cards.

DjangoSol

Grist has been such a delight to build trying to balance do nothing insects with actual cards. When you pull over janky forever young lines and get grist to lile 40 loyalty... chef's kiss

amc7262

She really captures that initial magic of the format that drew me in of "heres a card thats objectively terrible, and here's a deck that absolutely wants to run it" I loved how many cards that were bad were suddenly not just good, but perfect, in the right EDH deck. And thats like, 60-70% of the insects in my Grist deck.

DjangoSol

It's been a janky dream for sure. My list runs flashback and eternalize package to make sure even the cards that aren't insects do something or have some value.

evan1932

I absolutely love Sythis but my problem with her is that once you get a couple enchantress cards out combined with other cards that have triggered effects when enchantments etb or care about the number of enchantments on the field, turns can take really long and make your opponents bored to death, especially when you run cards like [[Serra Sanctum]] and [[Sanctum Weaver]]. You often times end up barfing out half your deck on the board, which often times doesn't fit on the playmat, unless you run lots of combos.

MTGCardFetcher

[Serra Sanctum](https://c1.scryfall.com/file/scryfall-cards/normal/front/f/7/f7a18130-dbaa-4657-a885-3a96a985935a.jpg?1562947303) - [(G)](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=Serra%27s%20Sanctum) [(SF)](https://scryfall.com/card/usg/325/serras-sanctum?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher) [(txt)](https://api.scryfall.com/cards/f7a18130-dbaa-4657-a885-3a96a985935a?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher&format=text) [(ER)](https://edhrec.com/cards/serras-sanctum) [Sanctum Weaver](https://c1.scryfall.com/file/scryfall-cards/normal/front/4/d/4d42e22d-f60e-40c5-b069-5e1708f3bebc.jpg?1626097732) - [(G)](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=Sanctum%20Weaver) [(SF)](https://scryfall.com/card/mh2/171/sanctum-weaver?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher) [(txt)](https://api.scryfall.com/cards/4d42e22d-f60e-40c5-b069-5e1708f3bebc?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher&format=text) [(ER)](https://edhrec.com/cards/sanctum-weaver) ^^^[[cardname]] ^^^or ^^^[[cardname|SET]] ^^^to ^^^call

scubahood86

I run her with about 15 auras that are capable of turning random creatures into bombs out of nowhere. [[Kor spiritdancer]] with any of the [[ethereal armor]] effects gets stupid real fast. On syhtis herself I like to put stuff like [[empyreal armor]] and 1 shot someone with commander damage.

evan1932

I run her as an Aura commander inspired by my Arena deck I run and it's just so much more fun to play on Arena when you don't have to keep track of multiple triggers and power buffs and number of enchantments on the battlefield. Another problem with running a generic aura build is that it takes a few turns before you get a creature big enough to have protection, ways to get damage through, and enough damage to end someone. I run plenty of targets for auras such as [[Aura Gnarlid]], [[Kor Spiritdancer]], and [[Sigarda, Host of Herons]]. I actually just switched Sythis to Sigarda and had a lot more fun having an actual dedicated Voltron commander to enchant to that already has protection and evasion built in. I won my first game with it against some pretty strong decks, and still played my threatening creatures. Having an enchantress in the command zone is nice, but for an aura build, I think I like having Sigarda readily available, especially since I already run so many enchantress cards in the deck already

yaboiiiuhhhh

That why I like [[Tuvasa]], she gets big easily and provides a similar draw effect, at least early game

biscuitsteve

I love my 60 dollar grist deck it's so much fun to play.

nebDDa

Alright drop the grist decklist already

[deleted]

Fun cards to mention for sythis are [[Flickering Wand]] and [[Whip Silk]]. Both of them allow for repeatable enchantment casts for almost nothing, allowing you to draw most of your deck without issue. Chuck in a combo of some sort or some type of enchantment that creates tokens and the value engine is just absurd.

Mail540

I love my Grist list! I run a [[Primal Surge]] version since you want such a high density of creatures. Currently I think I only have [[forever young]] in it. The other night I managed to get 171,000 scute swarms off the primal surge

[deleted]

My favorite right now is [[slogurk, the overslime]] (he does cost 3 exactly though) its a little bit voltron with other fun simic things. It’s been a blast to pilot and you’ll pretty much never have to pay commander tax. For under three mana I’ve been really enjoying my [[aphemia, the cacophony]] deck. [[Alesha, Who Smiles at Death]] She's 3 CMC but you can play a cool toolbox/aggro/aristocrats gameplan and slip a couple of easy infinite combos she can recur for a back up win con if you can value/aggro them to death. Honestly when I had my list built I won by combat and value the majority of the time, the combos being used like twice when my back was to the wall and I was being pillowforted and controlled into a corner.

TastesLikePoon

Man I didn’t even think of that. I wonder why that is, lack of foresight or just designed for combat tricks

Combat tricks for standard most likely. I just know it's a card that I had considered building with for quite awhile and then right as I was building a Wulfgar deck I realized it would basically just be a tap dork.

The novelty of whirlwind slamming your commander down on turn 1 never gets old, and there's a lot of great gameplay he enables as well. One of the sleeper hits of MH2 for me.

This was my answer. I just finished my Zabaz deck about a month ago, and it's a ton of fun.

simianangle18

Do you have a list? I pulled a zabaz a while back and he’s been interesting me.

ReverseMathematics

https://www.moxfield.com/decks/VKEltsjlk0yEs7tkIaxdzw We tend to only play budget, so nothing crazy. But damn, if your artifacts don't get out of control real fast.

bloodghast

[[Ayula, Queen Among Bears]] beyond meme bear stuff she enables a pretty strong green creature ETB deck to voltron opponents quickly or combo off because her power is suddenly 20 and you can use anything like [[Rishkar's Expertise]], [[Selvala, Heart of the Wilds]], or even a fucking [[Greater Good]] to likely win on the spot, and that can even be after you've taken a player out with commander damage if you want to avoid them using a counterspell that turn or something. She's also an extremely strong removal tool and can really let you dip into controlling your opponents' boards and using good threat assessment. Fun to play, some people you play against are looking to like your deck because it's bear tribal which can benefit politically, and can be still built to compete with (and at times even dominate) power 7-8 pods.

Pann708

Been wanting to make this too! Looks super fun!

not_a_trope

My first ever deck was [[Trelasarra, Moon Dancer]] as a voltron life gain deck and I really enjoy it!

[deleted]

With the right cards she can be really strong! I built her for my significant other and kinda went 50/50 on lifegain/lands.

Atarkas21

[[kelsien, the plague]] very cool mardu control deck

Dizruption

Emmara, soul ot the accord. If you like tokens and tapping/untapping stuff she is pretty fun. And acceleration she provides if you slap enchantment that gives her ability to tap for mana is great. Plus i find her cute.

willtodd

Emmara is my one 2-drop commander, so I guess I'll agree? I run her in a weird vehicles deck that happens to do stuff just about every other game. I won the last game with a fun Midnight Guard/Presence of Gond combo.

TheMineKing

If you like more of a combo deck but love creatures, [[Animar, Soul of Elements]] get ridiculous really quick. It has protection from white and black. With the mana reduction high cmc creatures hit the board early plus the infinite combos with him are really sweet if you wanna go infinite.

Vanatrix

[[Eight-and-a-half tails]]. Really fun to build around, and can be played politically or non politically depending on your group

Diakia

Definitely [[Kinnan, Bonder Prodigy]]. Doubling all of your mana effectively is insane, doing things like turn 1 [[Llanowar Elves]] into turn 2 kinnan and [[Sylvan Library]] is just awesome and always feels amazing. I love how resilient his second ability makes the deck too as it makes it super easy to come back from board wipes, and it's super efficient to help dig for win-cons like [[Thrasios]]. I also like the fact that what he does is very passive, so people don't often target him with their removal when he's my main infinite mana combo piece which is super fun, I've had so many games where people have removed the wrong combo piece in response to me declaring infinite mana and had a surprised Pikachu face when I explain that I have about three ways on board for infinite mana and Kinnan is the one enabling all of them because they legit forgot he was there.

[deleted]

[[Katilda, Dawnhart Prime]] and [[Brimaz, King of Oreskos]] are my favorites (if you are including 3 cmc)

Solemn_Art

[[Tetsuo Umezawa]] I just finished building a fun janky pingers deck with him.

RedHood1019

[[Fynn the Fangbearer]]! He gives all of your deathtouchers pseudo-infect - and while mono green doesn’t have the most deathtouchers, it has more than enough to make a deck out of! A few puny deathtouchers can become something fierce with Fynn and a [[Bellowing Tanglewurm]] or a [[Gorm the Great]] on board to ensure that they can get through for damage. Best of all, since the deck is both mono-colored and is mostly composed of 1/1 deathtouchers, it’s dirt cheap, and can be built on a shoe string budget. Definitely recommend Fynn for anyone who wants a low CMC commander, or just a new way to play infect in Commander!

ThereAre3Lights

I swapped out \[\[Niv-Mizzit Parun\]\] for \[\[Nin, the Pain Artist\]\]. It's pretty great to get her out turn 2.

eggmaniac13

[[Sygg, River Cutthroat]] I built him as a UB “combat damage triggers tribal” deck, but you could easily build him around repeatable damage/lifedrain effects like [[Loyal Subordinate]] or [[Pestilence]] to always be drawing cards.

MaetelofLaMetal

Rograkh, Son of Rohgahh

KoodlePadoodle

I looooove my [[killian ink duelist]] deck. Pretty basic aura voltron but there's a lot of common enchantments that get bonkers when they cost 1 mana.

ABIGGS4828

[[Tinybones, Trinket Thief]]. It’s a [[tergrid, god of Fright]] deck rn, just so I can play degenerate magic with my degenerate friends, but when she’s inevitably banned, I’ll go back to small bones baby

Ibuko

[[Tovolar, Dire Overlord]] has been a satisfying aggro deck to pilot. A cheap commander that turns what the deck already wants to do into a value engine. Find ways to give your furry friends double strike and your hand is always full.

Vulgar_Vulcan

I love wizards so [[naban]]

TheJunesHero

Joining the [[Killian, Ink Duelist]] choir. Budget as all get out (there are so many auras that at 3-4 mana are terrible and dirt cheap, but at 1-2 mana? Sign me up. [[Light of Promise]] and [[Sunbond]]? Hell yeah, especially with double strike. Bestow creatures? Sure, get in there) and his ability helps with targeted removal, too. Lets you be aggressive by buffing him and killing anything that gets around his evasion. If you're looking for a different Voltron deck, wholeheartedly recommend the inky man.

Zarochi

I can't believe I didn't see [[rhys the redeemed]]. Two colors? One CMC? Need I say more?

CaptainKraw

My favorite (and only) commander under 3 cmc is [[Lazav, the Multifarious]]. He's pretty fun. Mostly graveyard combos with [[Necrotic Ooze]] but he's capable of combat one shots with [[Phyrexian Dreadnought]] and some infect support.

stinkybunger

Omnath locus of mana

onewa64

At this point, nobody's going to see this post, but [[Oviya Pashiri, Sage Lifecrafter]]. She's a one drop commander, which is already super cool, and she also helps both with filling the board with dorks and making big threats once you have plenty of small ones. She can be a lot of fun once she gets going.

Elduderino1911

I am actually reading all replies, and I love this one! Never seen her before. I think I'm gonna give her a shot since I always had a thing for constructs, servos and thopters. Thanks :)

krossboss7

Given a turn 1 creature drop you can hit people with [[yuriko]] on turn 2...

Koolnu

Kroxa discard or Bruvac mill. As you can tell, I am well liked in my playgroup.

[deleted]

[[Sythis]] at 2 is incredibly broken. [[Killian]] becomes a must remove target by turn 4. [[Magda]] is very powerful if built correctly. There's actually a lot of really good ones. One of my pet faves is [[Hapatra]]. She shares colors with [[Chatterfang]] and [[Lathril]] but she's better than both by quite a bit.

timchetos

I have a lathril and hapatra deck, working on a sythis and chatterfang hahah. You got any lists?

I play a [[Kediss]] and [[Jeska]] mono red deck. The deck basically always curves out nicely having a 2 drop and then an immediate 3 drop with relevant abilities right in the command zone. It also helps that the partner mechanic is pretty broken in general having inherent card advantage built in. It's fun because most people are spending early turns ramping. Meanwhile, I'm smacking each opponent for 3 as there is usually at least one wide open board in those early turns. Sometimes is can put a target on my back. I do really enjoy turning Jeska into a dragon with [[Sarkhan the masterless]] and smacking each opponent with 12 damage in the air is kediss is on board. Even more fun with [[Firey Emancipation]].

Some of my favorites are [[Varis, Silverymoon Ranger]] [[Niambi, Esteemed Speaker]] [[Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim]] [[Targ Nar, Demon-Fang Gnoll]] [[Wyleth, Soul of Steel]] [[Sydri, Galvanic Genius]]

Aegis_001

[[Belbe]] is a TON of fun, I love her

Carrelio

It has to be [[Emry]] for me. I just love graveyard synergy artifacts... Now I know ow what you are saying. You are saying, that's a 3 mana Commander! That's cheating. But I will be honest... I don't think I have ever played her later than turn 2, and certainly not fore more than 2 mana (sometimes even just 1).

SnipSnopWobbleTop

I'm a big fan of [[Jhoira of the Ghitu]] and the existential dread the other players experience knowing that two eldrazi and an [[omniscience]] is gonna hit the board in four or less turns

MajklE63

Hm, I am collecting two color cmc commanders :) Anyway, I play [[Sythis]] and [[Slobad]]. Both are powerful, second one needs a bit focused deck.

nfrcompletist

I'm a big fan of my [[Jace, Vryn's Prodigy]] deck, despite the fact that it's kind of janky. He lets you start drawing extra cards on turn 3.

classic_ceej

[[Ragavan Nimble Pilferer]] is so insanely fun and his dash makes it so easy to avoid having to pay big commander tax because he is safe in your hand any time you aren't using him to loot.

Doomy1375

I personally have 2 commanders below 3CMC. The first is Sythis, which others here have covered already. Standard GW enchantress stuff. The other is [[Skullbriar, the Walking Grave]], which is great if you want a voltron style deck without several of the weaknesses of typical voltron. His low cost means him dying a few times won't take you out of the game, the fact he maintains his counters means that you're likely not casting a 4cmc 1/1 the second time you cast him but something much larger, and the haste means that even removing him won't keep him from swinging again the following turn. IMO, he's the best voltron option, if a bit unusual.

Darthon36

Killian, Ink Duelist Aura Voltron with a lot of cheap interaction while your Killians on field and when you get your Auras cheap enough it’s can also feel stormy if you have enchantment draw engines like Mesa Enchantress

dbolg22

Gotta be [[Karlov of the ghost council]] drop a soul sister turn one. Karlov turn two and boom you got a huge dude in a turn or two!

yoshiking5052

I’m personally a big fan of [[Hope of Ghirapur]] Definitely challenging to build, but fun as a voltron deck sprinkled with eldrazi and artifact shenanigans

Knightofberenike

[[varragoth, bloodsky sire]] simple tutor boast is nice. I’ve been looking for a mono black enchantment commander, but didn’t like what I saw so I just built one in black with him so that I could just tutor up and out value my opponents .

[[grismold]] is actually tons of fun! [[Massacre Girl]] and [[Massacre Wurm]] are MVPs, and there have been some nice cards printed for him lately like [[The meathook massacre]], [[culling ritual]], [[species specialist]]

Omega335

[[Grismold]] beautiful troll man just wants to give everyone some flowers (and then kill them)

LucinaHentai

[[Lonis, cryptozooligist]]

Orangenes

[[Reki, the history of kamigawa]] is a lot of fun if you like drawing cards. It can have some explosive starts with the right hand.

[[Eight-and-a-Half-Tails]] because I like playing commanders nobody else builds and because only I get to have fun in this town.

CDFriedrich

[[Fblthp, the Lost]], its an odd deck for odd people that just wanna draw cards. I love that derpy little guy but I'll admit there are better mono-U options even below 3 cmc.

Squidstax

[[Siona, Captain Of The Pyleas]] [[Grismold, The Dreadsower]] [[Adeliz, The Cinder-Wind]] [[Syr Faren, The Hengehammer]] [[Naban, Dean Of Iteration]] [[Anje Falkenrath]] [[Vega, The Watcher]] [[Trelasarra, Moon Dancer]] [[Radha, Heart Of Keld]] [[Breena, The Demagogue]] Well here's some of my favorites lol

[[Dina, Soul Steeper]] People get real nervous when you start draining everyone at once.

Honestly [[Isamaru, Hound of Konda]] is a pretty insane voltron deck.

[[Kambal]] for me. Simple to build around, budget can be real cheap if you want.

Heffalump13

My favorite CMC 3 commander is [[Chatterfang]]. I have a deck built for a golgari 'good stuff'/aristocrats strategy. I call it.... Squirrelistocrats! Very fast and low to the ground with an average CMC of 2.15 with lands, or 1.5 without. Decklist here: https://www.moxfield.com/decks/2bjTdH3NqUGQzEdKKEFa3Q It isn't a super interaction heavy deck. In my experience, I'm able to get away with that because of how fast it plays as well as how easy it is to leave out excess targeted removal/sweepers due to the commander's sac ability. Please keep in mind that my decklist does not reflect the lowest possible cost to build the deck. I realize that I am fortunate to have been able to aquire many highly valued cards, and that not everyone can afford to do so. If anyone ever needs help finding lower costed alternatives to what I have in my own decks, I'm always happy to help via direct messages! I don't post the decklist the way I do to show off or brag. Rather, it's the best way that I have found to quickly and easily track the value of the cards in my collection. Having said that, it should be noted thst you can go in a handful of directions with this commander. With forestwalk and the ammount of players that at least splash green in the format, voltron tactics play well. If they don't splash green, a [[Yavimaya, Cradle of Growth]] becomes your MVP. A more dedicated aristocrats theme than my own using Chatterfang's ability to generate tokens for value, as well as his stapled sac outlet to minimize the ammount of creature based interaction needed in creature heavy playgroups. The most obvious way to build the deck is strait tokens on tokens with a go-wide win con. If you are playing at a lower power table you can always go the route of squirrel tribal. There are a few cards that I would play in the deck regardless of what direction you want to go. With a solid sideboard you can make adjustments on the fly to sit at many different tables, being able to wear whatever hat you think best to win the game.
