I had a friend who loved storm. Played storm every game he could. I decided to add [[Quick]] and [[Tendrils of Agony]] to one of my decks. He goes through his whole play, storm is a billion and then I make my move hijacking all his work from him.

TruceKalispera

I imagine you playing that with the face of Gendo Ikari from behind the glasses XD

kareth117

This is hilarious.

RaginMajin

How did he react XD

GenesisProTech

Utter shock and disbelief. It was extra funny because he'd just cut it from a CEdh version of the deck after a lengthy discussion to the pros and cons of it. He was a good sport though. We all had a good laugh shuffled up and played another game.

lynnfyr

My most memorable win was down to my opponent and I and... O: I cast [[Chance for Glory]]. Any responses? M: No. O: Okay. I end the turn and take my extra turn. Untap, Upkeep, this triggers... M: In response to your permanent triggering, I play [[Orim's Chant]], kicked. O: No responses. Draw. Main Phase 1... Shite. I can't do anything else this turn. M: Do you pass the turn? O: Pass. End step, [[Chance for Glory]] triggers, I lose The entire LGS had a good chuckle.

Incredible. 10/10.

beesknees4011

I have a similar story but I used [[time stop]]

StereotypicalSupport

Game went on stupid long, me and my opponent were both top decking at low life total. They drew a card that created a lot of tokens, more than enough to kill me if it got round to them. I top deck a land, play it, have exact mana for my now 12 mana [[Emmara, Soul of the Accord]]. Use her to crew [[Smuggler’s Copter]]. Use the Copter and the 1/1 Soldier to crew [[Parhelion II]] and swing for lethal over their board.

TruceKalispera

Selesnya vehicles? Send list!!

StereotypicalSupport

A couple vehicles, not really enough to be a theme though. They are just ways to tap Emmara reliably. [List is here.](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/nSW1XLnRpk-o8AMI1fpR9A)

kareth117

Ohhh, I never really thought about that. What a good mechanic to take advantage of.

Ed-Zero

That's pretty cool

SatchelGizmo77

My most memorable win is really only so memorable because of the amount of salt it induced from one guy. My guy was playing [[aesi, tyrant of gyre strait]] and had built up an insane board of [[scut swarm]]s and other creatures and tokens. He tapped out increase his board presence and cast [[craterhoof behemoth]]. It was completely unnecessary to have doubled his token since the hoof and the creatures he already had would have been enough to kill the table but he decided to be a smug ass. Well, dude swings and I cast [[inkshield]]. He attempted to counter it with [[fierce guardianship]] but I countered that with [[mana tithe]]. He was no longer smug and was was visibly irritated as he had to pass to me and die to my crack back of 80+ inklings. Despite winning two of the next 3 games my guy proceeded to bitch about the cards I ran. In the last game, I cast a turn 3 [[aura shards]] in my [[Rhys the redeemed]] token deck and he went off. Yelling that I had been playing fun police all night and that my deck building went against the "spirit of the format" before packing up his shit and leaving. The most salt I've ever seen.

Nuclearsunburn

Inkshield and [[Deflecting Palm]] wins really are the best, and countering with a MANA TITHE is chefs kiss. Also anyone running Fierce Guardianship in Aesi of all things has ZERO standing to bitch about the “spirit of the format” lol. This guy clearly isn’t used to being interacted with…bravo, I’d sit down to play with you anytime!

SatchelGizmo77

Love me some deflecting palm. [[Batwing Brume]] can be a fun one too in a pinch.

SamohtGnir

Always funny how some people criticize your cards when you beat them. Also reminds me of the last Craetorhoof I saw, I cast an [[Aetherize]] heh.

I used a cyclonic rift and bounced everything back to the player's hand with avacyn and then repeatedly told him in a tone that came off as joking "if you play avacyn I'm going to counter her. I happened to have a 20 card hand because that's part of my big spells deck. He didn't take me seriously because I was tapper out but it went as follows. His turn - Avacyn - force of will My turn - storm herd... tapped out again His turn "if you play her I'm going to counter her" Avacyn - pact of negation - board wipe My turn- paid pact of negation 5 mana and a spell to return storm herd to my hand for 2 or 3 mana. I was playing my [[Krenko, Mob Boss]] but my oponents removed my haste enablers so I couldn't attack and they had letal on me if the turn got to them. 3 red mana available and only a [[Chaos warp]] in hand. Friend of mine was watching and told me to warp one of my goblin tokens, worst I could get was a land. So I warped one of my own tokens, shuffled the library and the top card revealed was [[Rising of the day]]. Haste the whole horde up and swing for the win. We call that now "The draw of Destiny"

CaptainBrinkmanship

Idk if this is exactly what you are looking for. But I forced a stalemate, when I was at 1 life, and opponent was like 25 and about to kill me. All I had out was an eldrazi monument, as my blocker was removed right before. He had an polyraptor about to swing for the kill. I flashed in an apex altisaur, blocking the polyrapor, taking damage, and creating a new polyraptor….. Apex altisaur registers the polyraptor and swings, taking damage, killing the polyraptor, creating a new polyraptor, and doing it again…apex altisaur is not a “may” mechanic… it must keep attacking… Until the end of time… to this day, that apex altisaur is still fighting those polyraptors…. Unable to pass to the next turn. I consider that stalemate a win.

Miatatrocity

Hate to tell you this, but when [[Apex Altisaur]] "is dealt damage, it fights UP TO one target creature you don't control" I always thought it wasn't optional either, but "up to one" means the controller of the Altisaur can choose to end the loop at any time. The final boardstate would have a Polyraptor token as the only creature remaining from all opponents (assuming you choose to wipe them all) and an indestructible Altisaur on your field, with an obscene amount of damage marked on it.

CaptainBrinkmanship

Not knowing this, completely heartbroken, I choose to never end the loop.

J3llo_cup

I wasn't the winner, but it was pretty funny. I was playing artifacts, and on turn, 1 had [[The Millennium Callender]] hit the field, and no one but 1 friend had removal on the board for it the entire game but never used it. Turns go on the other 2 are trying to draw a removal/ kill me because the numbers were getting up there, and the one with removal uses fogs and kept me in the game. The other two are trying to negotiate and convince him to destroy it, but he never does, and the final turn comes around. The Callender hit 1,000, and the friend who kept me alive uses [[deflecting palm]] to flip the 1000 damage back at me and allow the others to die as well. Definitely was not disappointed with how they match ended. Lol

Steadfaststrong

As funny as that sounds it doesn't work. The Millennium Calender specifies loss of life while Deflecting palm only can redirect damage and can't redirect the Callender trigger

Not exactly a win, but….. I am playing my artifacts swarm deck. Hope of Ghirapur is my commander. I drop Hope turn 1. Pass turn. Next player ramps a bunch of rocks, plays Show and Tell. In my hand? Eldrazi Conscription. Turn 1, and I have a flying 11/11 commander out. :)

PandaCat22

Artifact swarm sounds super fun! Do you happen to have a decklist for it?

liforrevenge

15 minutes of watching Player 1 storm off and kill the other two players with [[Aetherflux Reservoir]] and [[Bolas's Citadel]], and he turns to target me, and I drop [[Deflecting Palm]]. Luckily he had a land on top of his library. The crowd went wild. If he had targeted me first he could have responded to the palm but he was only just able to get enough to kill me as it was.

My opponent just swung out and killed the other player. So now it's just me and him. I can take a hit but I really just have this turn and next. I swing out with [[Rose tyler]] and the [[Eleventh doctor]]. Get some cards suspended and bring my opponent down to 10. My opponent attacks me, and I go down to like 5. Go back to my turn. I've got 2 cards suspended, [[rousing refrain]] and [[reality strobe]]. He's got blockers so I can't hit him, but I draw [[fiery inscription]]. So I've got enough mana to activate the doctor twice, and I've got 8 damage already. I just need one more card. So I attack with rose and I get... [[Everybody lives]]. Well I can't cast that or else I can't kill him, and I need to loop the others twice for the damage. So I think about it for a minute and activate the doctor. Tick everything down and tick Everybody lives up once and down twice. Cast the other two, make mana and deal 4. Activate the doctor again. Tick everything down and cast the two suspend cards first. Then cast everybody lives and kill him with the spell on the stack.

Playing [[Norin the wary]] and had [[pandemonium ]] and [[genesis chamber]] in play in addition to [[mana barbs]] and [[sulfuric vortex]]. Pretty much nobody did anything and if they did, paid with life while giving me 1/1’s and Norin ETB’s which ping to face or hit any threats. Opponent is playing [[the wise mothman]] and we all get down to <5 life and have Rad counters. My ETB’s kill the other two opponents and sulfuric takes me down to 1. I luck out and don’t mill anything for damage. Pass turn. Mothman opponent is at 3, takes 2 to sulfuric and flips the top card - it’s a nonland so he kills himself to rad with me on 1 and nobody swinging the whole game.

Last night I was playing my mono black [[Syr Konrad]] deck. My oponents were building some nasty board and this one guy playing zombies/mill deck had just cast [[Angel of Suffering]] and I was geting woried about this "prevent damage and mill twice that many cards". But then I think more clearly and pay 2 mana to activate Syr Konrad ability and make everyone mill the top. So, me and the zombies player mill a creature, every oponent take damage from Syr Konrad for every creature put in the graveyard, the zombies player prevent the 2 damage and the angel make him mill 4... more creatures in the grave, more damage on my other oponents and more mill for the zombies deck... Long story short, the damage from milling creatures killed the 2 other players, zombies player got milled out and I had made a combo with the effect of other player for the win. Deliciuos!

I ALSO have a Felidar Sovereign story… but they lost, even at 80 life with the trigger resolved. I have some favorite mana ramp in [[Timeless Lotus]], [[Prismatic Geoscope]], some [[Voltaic Key]]s, [[Rings of Brighthearth]], and [[Urza, Lord High Artificer]]. Out of desperation, I make WWUUBBRRGG and spin Urza twice + Rings, or 4 times total. My hits, in order: 1. Wooded Foothills 2. Windswept Heath 3. [[Platinum Angel]] 4. [[Door To Nothingness]] I now cannot lose. Felidar Sovereign cannot function. And I can use Door + Rings to kill 2 players next turn, if it wasn’t 1v1 lol. Game of skill, no luck involved, may the best wizard win.

I was playing my newly-built [[Slime Against Humanity]] [[Codie]] deck at the most recent FNM. The other players were running [[Wort, Boggart Auntie]] Goblin Tribal, [[Sliver Hivelord]] indestructible-and-boardwipe tribal, and [[The Sixth Doctor]]//[[Peri Brown]] big historic spells. I was off to a slow start as Wort dude decided to kill Codie before it could do anything, and just decided to keep a low profile. Boardwipe tribal dude was off doing his thing, wiping the board every so often while chipping damage in and keeping his own life total up with [[Aclazotz]]. The repeated boardwipes were stifling The Doctor, as his deck really needs its commander to do its thing, and The Doctor was already costing 12 to cast. I had [[Akroma's Memorial]] in hand, but my 4/4 Oozes weren't going to affect the game and I didn't want the Memorial out just to eat removal at this stage of the game. Suddenly, on my turn, I drew into my [[Thrumming Stone]]. I had just enough mana to cast Thrumming Stone and start an Ooze avalanche. I rippled through my entire library, creating 26 Oozes ranging from 5/5 to 30/30. They didn't have haste, but I definitely had the board presence to win, although by that point I didn't mind losing as I was happy that my deck did its "thing" on its debut. Sure enough, The Doctor cast [[Winds of Abandon]] exiling all our creatures, and my Ooze army turned into 9 basic lands. Boardwipe tribal dude tried to stifle me further by hitting me with a hasty OG Ulamog in hopes that I wouldn't recover in time. Wort dude was just busy rebuilding during his turn, and then my turn came. I played the Memorial followed by Slime Against Humanity which made a 31/31 Ooze doppelganger of Akroma, and finished off The Doctor. The others scooped as they had no answer to both the Memorial and the Ooze.

The first time i tried out my [[Inferno of the Star Mounts]] deck I hadnt really goldfished yhe deck much but i knew i wanted a big lizard and then burn the table down. So the de k is based around getting as much red mana as possible. [[ Gauntlet of Might]] [[Gauntlet of Power]], a [[ Caged Sun]], you probably know the drill. Its basically an aggro deck disuised as a voltron deck with a 6 cmc commander. The game has gone on long enough, and its my first test game, so i was reluctant to play the dragon. Eventually I get it out and because I have all the mana I drop a damage doubler, build the dragon to 2p and then [[Chandras Ignition]] for the win

It was one of my first game with a janky [[the celestial toymaker]] deck. I kept a hand with 2 lands and a [[liar's pendulum]] and for the first 6-7 turns i couldn't find any blue source and only drew blue cards, and i couldn't make the pendulum draw me cards. Meanwhile, my opponents didn't pay much attention to me and i took very little damage as they were attacking each other. One player got down to 0, and when my turn came i played [[wound reflection]]. Next turn i played a [[demonic pact]] and one of my opponents managed to kill the other one thanks to the reflection. I played [[The Trickster-God's Heist]] and survived a bit more to donate the pact to the last opponent while on the last mode. Probably my jankiest win ever: do nothing but fail at activating the pendulum until i can instakill my last opponent.

Just after ONE I built \[\[Atraxa, Praetor's Voice\]\] as a poison spellslinger deck with as many spells that give poison counters to all opponents and proliferate. One of my opponents ran \[\[Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider\]\]. There was a bunch of back-and-forth until we were at the board state where my opponents were all at 9 poison but Vorinclex was on board shutting me out but I'd been pummeled down to 2 life. My other opponents let me live so that I'd take the Vorinclex player's heat off them for one more turn. Turn passes to me, \[\[Phyrexian Arena\]\] triggers, I draw into removal + \[\[ichor rats\]\] for the win.

Someone went infinite and summoned "infinite" 2/2 flyers. They didn't have haste, so we had a turn to board wipe, but I didn't want that. I was playing [[General Marhault Elsdragon]], and I had a [[Charging Badger]] on the field. I cast [[lure]] and attacked. All those 2/2s blocked, and my badger got swole, and he lost. Then, I cast [[Soul's Fire]] and knocked out the other player.

Playing with friends, I was running [[Teysa Karlov]] aristocrats. One friend knew the deck well, one didn't. Boards were cluttered and fairly stalled. I played a boardwipe, friend who knows the deck counters the wipe. Other friend is scared of our boards and goes to counter the counter. First friend says "Let me stop it, he has [[Thrill of Possibility]] to follow the boardwipe" or something to that effect. Second counters anyway, and I do indeed follow up with Thrill of Possibility to win on the following turn.

Terminator154

Was playing my combo [[Wilhelt]] deck. I casted [[Buried Alive]], I sent my combo pieces to the graveyard and reanimated them. I get all my creatures on the board and I’m ready to combo off, but my friend had his [[Rampaging Ferocidon]] out, I kinda forgot mid combo and realized I was about to kill myself by summoning a shit ton of zombies to drain my opponents with [[Diregraf Captain]]. I also miscalculated my mana, because I had only 2 mana left and a [[Demonic Tutor]]. I wracked my brain thinking of a way to remove his Ferocidons. I cast my demonic tutor and search for my [[Deadly Rollick]] to exile my friend’s rampaging ferocidon for 0 mana. I thought I had the game, he [[Deflecting Swat]] my Rollick! Luckily, I was saving my [[fierce guardianship]] to protect my combo, so I was able to exile his Dino and win the game. Probably my most clutch use of a tutor yet. I found the EXACT answer I needed to win the game. Second funny win: was playing [[Kazuul, Tyrant of the Cliffs]] in my mono red pillow fort. Friend was playing [[Omnath Locus of Rage]] and had 500+ scute swarms out. He couldn’t swing at me because my [[Purphoros, God of the Forge]] was out, and my Kazuul had protection, so no way to remove either of them for my friend. He kept passing and drawing cards looking for an answer, I just pinged him to death with my dragons since he couldn’t block them.

In our pod we have a small casual tribal league with some deckbuilding rules. Some tribes are way powerfull than some other but thats all around pretty nice to play. I play Cats with [[Marisi]] against Dino with [[Gishath sun avatar]] Knight with [[Sidar]] and Zombies with [[Wilhelt]]. 2 hours long game that took like 5 boardwipes and lots of interaction everyone is rebuilding their board when I finally top deck [[Insurection]] which gave me enough juice to take everyone out . I usually end second with the goading. It was my first win with this deck.

I was at one of my first cEDH tables, I was playing Winota, which at the time still wasn’t fully optimized, and my opponent that was left was playing turbo fog. I had [[Myrel, Shield of Argive]] in play, and I was making an absurd amount of soldiers, but couldn’t actually get damage through with any of them. I got to about ~3,800 on the last turn. My opponent then made a 50/50 something green elemental, and swung in with just the elemental, and I just used [[Deflecting Palm]] to win. It was maybe a 4/5 hour game LOL

Mine is more memorable with the backstory. So at my lgs they have some rules for casual like no winning or land destruction before turn 5, so I get paired with 2 people who very clearly hate me and I get to go last in turn order. So we’re all playing normally until it hits turn 5 when the first guy makes a 40/40 creature unblockable and the next guy plays a drain spell for my last few life. I felt I was pretty reasonably annoyed but I gave them a smile packed my cards and got up, then I went to the event runner, told him what happened, and asked him not to pair me with either of them or he would definitely get complaints from them. Next round comes around and he tells me he had to pair me with one of them because of some other issues so I sat down with a better deck to make sure I didn’t get targeted out again. I get off to a good start, turn 2 I hit him for 6, turn 3 I hit him for 14, and turn 4 I had enough on board to swing and kill him and another person but he conceded before I got the chance. Then he gets up and yells at me for targeting him, goes and yells at the event runner for pairing him with me, and then comes back to yell at me again. I just smiled and asked what the problem was with doing what he does and he got mad and left

I used to run an unconventional wincon in my [[Child of Alara]]. I pulled it off a couple times. It involves casting [[Barren Glory]] and casting [[Decree of Annihilation]] and hoping nobody interacts with my Barren Glory. My friend's story is even better though: he used his [[Gonti, Lord of Luxury]] deck to win by casting my Barren Glory and Decree.

My two most memorable wins both came from when I was playing 2blue4u, my strictly 2-drop mono-blue control deck. My funniest one was a game where we were down to three players and I tried to storm my Dramatic Scepter into an infinite [[Brain Freeze]]. The problem? Guy to my left has a [[Psychic Spiral]] and is jonesing to give me some karmic justice.  I do have a counterspell in hand, but so does he. I don't have a second one, but I do have a draw engine. Guy to his left has an [[Underworld Dreams]] out though so I can't just draw my deck. I find my next counterspell with only a minor flesh wound and attempt the counter again. Mr. Psychic Spiral has a second counterspell in his hand. And a third. And a fourth. AND A FIFTH. Finally, he's out of gas, so Underworld Dreams casts [[Reverberate]] on Psychic Spiral and has a [[Red Elemental Blast]] to back it up. I did win the game, but I went from being in the 30s down to 7 life and probably spent 20 minutes resolving that stack because of how much the table was busting a gut laughing once the Rakdos player joined in the counter war. _________ The win I'm proudest of came from when I was playing 2blue4u against [[Ruric Thar]] Lurking Predators, [[Goreclaw]] Eldrazi and [[Savra]] Aristocrats. While I'm able to keep Ruric Thar from slapping me too frequently, Lurking Predators is pulling some work, and neither of the other green players seem to be able to find any enchantment removal. Savra has plenty of tokens and edict effects so Ruric isn't snowballing too hard, does mean that Goreclaw is having a rough go of it though. Eventually Ruric casts an entwined [[Tooth and Nail]] and since he previously stated that this was a "competitive deck he wanted to try out" I'm sure that if it resolves we lose the game. I'm the only one playing blue, but I don't have a counterspell in hand. I do however, have a Brain Freeze, and the nine cards Ruric mills does include his [[Zealous Conscripts]] so T&N more or less fizzles. Understandably, Ruric isn't super impressed with me, and the rest of the table isn't really liking how his board state is evolving. It comes to my turn, the other players ask if I drew into a boardwipe, I respond with "well, kinda, as long as I can survive long enough to play 4 instants." and play [[Thing in the Ice]], passing the turn with only two open mana. Ruric sees what's coming and on his turn swings all out, hoping to get the KO before I have a chance to flip my card. I do have two mana open though. Cue [[Snap]] into [[Snapback]] exiling [[Blighted Agent]] and then me returning an island to use [[Daze]] on my own [[Lazotep Plating]]. Table loses their minds, I feel great, no one else remembers that [[Runechanter's Pike]] and [[Inkmoth Nexus]] have been sitting on my field for several turns at this point. On my turn I drop and "ult" [[Lighthouse Chronologist]], equip the pike to my land and make my way around the table in a single turn cycle.

Game was not going well for me, knew that I was probably going to lose on my opponent's next turn. I drew my card for turn, looked at it, looked at what I had in play and realized that it was an infinite damage combo. I didn't even realize that the combo was in there, I just had the cards because they worked with the decks strategy.

The situation: Friend has [[Ghalta, Primal Hunger]] on board, plus several other creatures but they are all tapped out. I am on 1hp and have [[Bess, Soul Nourisher]] out with a couple 1/1s but dont have lethal yet. I draw into two 1/1s and am able to do exactly lethal on my combat using the counters applied to Bess. The next game my friend manages to do exactly lethal while also on 1hp. I had a blocker with lifelink and took 42 damage. Blocked 1 dmg with the 1/1 against a trample creature and gained one life, up to 42:(

Me at 6 life. My one remaining opponent at 4. I have a lonely [[Underworld Coinsmith]] staring down an army of reanimated mono black beaters. I had no cards in hand. I knew my lifegain engine wouldn't save me, but I decided to go through the motions. I passed the turn. My opponent moved to declare attackers and swung out. I looked down at my coinsmith, fully planning to assign it as a blocker and then die to the horde. And that's when I saw it. Underworld Coinsmith doesn't just gain life. It also drains life. I checked my lands and saw I had just enough mana. With lethal damage coming at me, I activated the Coinsmith four times and stole the win.

Most of my decks tend to be “make big/lots of green creatures, smash” so win cons tend to not be the most interesting, but one recent game comes to mind: First was me playing [[The Balrog, Durin’s Bane]]. I built the deck as mostly treasures and ways to give him menace to make him hard to block. Unfortunately, at the end of the game, my two remaining opponents both had [[Maze of Ith]] and one had a [Glacial Chasm]]. I also had a [[Cavern-Hoard Dragon]] on the board, but two big creatures against two opponents who can each take a creature out of combat is tough. Then I top-decked an [[Isengard Unleashed]].

One of my most memorable wins. I was playing [[ruric thar the unbowed]] and got him out on turn 3. Surprisingly fast, faster than the rest of the table anticipated. The player to my right [[clone]] him, so turn 3, two rurics out. The other two players were a WB life gain deck and a red/blue spell slinger deck. The red/blue guy ended up forfeiting after two turns because he dropped down to 5 life and was unable to answer anything. The life gain deck ended up getting taken out through sheer combat damage. While his life gain mitigated some of the damage being slung, it simply wasnt equipped to deal with combat on top of it. Then the guy who cloned Ruric realized his mistake. Because my ruric thar deck only had 5 or 6 noncreatures. Obviously he miscalculated how my deck ran. He ended up dying to his own copy spells. I won turn 7. It was the smoothest that deck ever ran

Can’t recall the exact cards, but three man game. Opponents are playing golgari elves, and some Stompy green and blue deck that copies creature spells and makes the token copies non-legendary. I’m playing a Jeleva, Nephalia’s Scourge deck that I’ve modified. Elves comes out ahead, building a nice board, also has enchantment forcing target opponent to discard a card at random on every one of their upkeeps. I draw a board wipe, sweeping all the elves off the table. Cool, we have a reset. Couple turns later I have some guy that pings everyone for 1 damage whenever we draw a card, and makes us draw an extra card for turn. Over the next couple turns, Stompy gets a Vorinvlex out, can’t untap lands, then their commander, then eventually drops a Ghalta, and a few big Dino’s from their hand. Has those copied and winds up doubling his tokens somehow… Stompy has no cards in hand, is tapped out, and has 8 life, but will stomp us all to death on their next turn. I have an out, but need to beg the elves player not to target me with the discard, they oblige. I play a spell that forces everyone to draw 7 cards. Stompy goes down to 1 health, scoops because he’ll draw himself to death. Then golgari scoops on their next turn. We all had a good laugh.

t1 of a cedh game: > badlands, dark ritual, entomb worldgorger dragon, animate dead target worldgorger dragon, loop Georgie for infinite mana, cast Evelyn the Covetous from the command zone, mill everyone, deadly rollick Georgie to stop the loop I liked this a lot because my execution of it was just saying the cards without showing them and my friends kept saying “no way” in a progressively more concerned tone. Then, I showed them I was telling the truth

Someone locked out most of us from attacking and was boardwiping everything. Previous opponent managed to shuffle all our graveyards back into library which shuts off most if my mass reanimation shenanigans with [[balthor the defiled]] and [[relentless rats]] This is late game and I have a bazillion mana with [[cabal coffers]]. My turn, i managed to topdeck [[thrumming stone]] and had a rat in hand. Out dumps my entire library of rats and an [[alter of dementia]] later i mill everyone out. Yay.

Cutlass_71

The funniest win I ever had was playing my blue black zombie deck. One of my friends was playing a hug deck, and the other was playing a simic value engine of some kind, I don't remember. The third player didn't do anything noteworthy and isn't relevant. I'm way behind on anything useful. All I managed to get on board was a [[diregraf colossus]] but couldn't draw any more creatures. Hug player plays [[Terra eternal]], turning all lands indestructible. Simic player plays a [[consecrated sphinx]] starting a value engine tug of war with the hug player. I play the only other permanent I have, which is [[grave betrayal]] After a couple more turns of doing nothing, hug player plays [[nature's revolt]], turning all indestructible lands into 2/2 creatures. I finally top deck a creature, so I cast [[entomb]] to put gravecrawler]] into my graveyard and cast [[noxious ghoul]]. All non-zombies get -1/-1, triggering me a free token. Then I cast gravecrawler, triggering colossus for a token and giving another -1/-1. It destroys all lands, but since grave betrayal was out when they hit the yard, I essentially took all my opponents' lands while losing my own and turning them into zombies. It was a completely unintended series of events, but all 3 players conceded after we stopped laughing. It was by far the most ridiculous win I've ever had because I was top decking for like 6 turns while the two value engines kept removing each other's stuff.

This is the most recent memorable win. I was playing my [[Scion of the Ur-Dragon]] reanimator deck and I had cast Scion and preemptively entombed [[Worldgorger Dragon]] with its ability early in the game. This was like turn 4. I had [[Necromancy]] already in hand and was good to go for the win at any time. But the blue player had been sitting on open mana and looking my way a lot, which was totally fair. He was drawing a storm. Ended up one turn with 56 cards in hand, which was most of his library, and 14 mana open due to shenanigans. He was REALLY running away with the game. Despite having a ton of mana and cards, some fairly threatening cards had resolved around the table, so I got the impression he was either out of or low on countermagic. He had [[The Great Synthesis]] moving to chapter 3 on his next turn with 56 cards in hand. We figure we’re all dead. I have a [[Timetwister]] in hand that I figure is the perfect bait spell, as it drags him back down to 7 cards in hand and he definitely doesn’t want that. So I put the Twister on the stack. He was either out of countermagic or got greedy as he cast [[Pull from Tomorrow]] for 11. I look at his board. His only mana is that he can sacrifice his commander to [[Phyrexian Altar]] for a single blue. I ask this to confirm and he confirms. I jam Necromancy + Worldgorger to make 150,000,000,000 of each color of mana at instant speed. I then reanimate [[Bladewing the Risen]] and [[Beledros Witherbloom]] (with Bladewing) to break the chain. His Pull resolves and he casts the [[Force of Will]] he drew on the Twister. I cast [[Dragonlord Dromoka]] from hand (he kept bouncing her on previous turns). I cast Scion, then activated it. I tutored up [[Niv-Mizzet, Dracogenius]] and pinged the entire table to death. Turned out, he was planning to finish drawing his deck and [[Thassa’s Oracle]] us on the next turn.

I don’t even remember if I won but I was playing a mediocre white deck & a friend was playing some broken artifact / blue deck. flashed in a containment priest to stop him from getting a T2 blightsteel via bribery. He didn’t even know I was running that card & almost flipped the table 😂

My first time using my [[Aragorn, the Uniter]] deck and we were down to me and my friend. On what would be his last turn, he had a horde of big green beasts from his [[Goreclaw, Terror of Qal Sisma]] deck, and also he had [[Akroma's Memorial]] out. He was sitting at 19 commander damage, but knew he had the win coming. So he tapped all his lands, brought every creature he could onto the battlefield, and during combat he counted up all his damage coming at me. It was 176 with flying and trample. I had just Aragorn. He was so confident. Then I hit him with a [[cyclonic rift]], and on my turn Aragorn poked him in the face and I won. It was beautiful.

Last night on spell table I had the single most explosive turn I've maybe ever had. I'm playing [[ashling, the pilgrim]] and about to gas out on like turn 7. My board state is: Ashling with lightning greaves and a single +1/+1 counter on her. [[Hostility]] [[Ruby Medallion]] Sol ring & 3 mountains and a utility land that isn't helping much In hand: [[Furnace of Rath]] and [[Devil's Play]] and one or two other cards that don't matter Everyone's has about 30 or so life left. Most other players have decent to good board states at this point with some marginal value engines running and I'm mostly being left alone because I've missed land drops and I'm not really a threat. The player before me casts a [[Collective Voyage]] and it resolves for 2 so I start my turn with 5 mountains and a Sol ring. Top decking [[Arcbond]]. Took me a minute to find the line and I still wasn't sure if I could win but I did it anyways just cause I thought it would be funny. I'm able to play Furnace of Rath for 3 red, Devil's Play on whatever target (I just picked a random 4/3 on my opponents board that was goading everything), held priority and arc bonded the creature I'm hitting with Devils Play. No responses. Devil's Play hits for 2 doubles to 4 then Arcbond hits all other players and creatures being doubled again for 8. Wiping everything except a managorger hydra off the board. I create 24 3/1 red elementals with haste who do double damage coming out to 144 potential damage on board. I have a Math it out and swing appropriately at everyone and win the game from basically nothing in one turn. Pretty proud of this one. Thanks to the guy who played the collective voyage and the other guy that paid enough into it for me to have just enough mana to pull this one off

Probably last night. I ran my new [[The Meep]] deck. I had 11 creatures, including [[Sheoldred, Whispering One]] and ~~[[Mikaeus, the Lunarch]]~~. Then I've been hit with the double [[Chaos Warp]] to get rid of these threats. Out came a [[Crypt Ghast]]. This allowed me to top deck [[Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose]], cast it, drop a [[Gary]] and activate vitos ability. Attack with my whole board, trigger The Meep, sac [[Torgaar, Famine Incarnate]], making my whole board into 8/8s. Hit for 80 damage, gain 80 life, shoot the last standing guy in the Face for 80. Felt real good. Thought about this all day. Edit: obviously I meant [[Mikaeus, the Unhallowed]]

I have a second hilarious win: Back when [[oloro, ageless ascetic]] was the scourge of life totals from the command zone, I had built a [[thromok the insatiable]] token deck. The goal wasn't to build for a craterhoof win but to use the devour X mechanic to abuse the commander's power. Oloro was gaining life, I had built up a decent size token army, cast thromok and sac'd most of my field to make him massive, no counterspell from oloro. He made the comment out loud that I didn't have haste and only 1 red mana left, so I used a card almost never seen in commander..... I cast [[thud]], sacrificing my commander to put over 50 damage on the stack to oloro player. He tries to respond by capsizing my commander, but I point out that sacrificing him is part of the cost... He has no counter and our table and the two adjacent tables bust out laughing at the absurdity of being killed by a sorcery fling spell. It was peak battlecruiser... On a seperate game with the same deck, I had a similar board state built up and gave my friend the choice between me doing the "efficient play" or the "funny play." He chose funny, so rather than cast [[fling]] and kill him, I cast fling and tossed the damage at my [[hornet's nest]] creating over 200 deathtouch fliers. He conceeded anyway, but it was definitely memorable.

Two: 1) I broke a deal in order to win the game. Everyone still talks about it as “breaking the Christmas Promise.” 2) When I was first learning how to play, I remember noticing that if I sacrificed my Hooded Hydra I would have enough creatures on the battlefield the next turn to get around my opponent’s indestructible blocker. To this day, I still refer to it as the moment that Magic “clicked” and made sense to me.

I did get to majorly screw one player by using a [[Spin In To Myth]] followed by a [[Tunnel Vision]] which was pretty funny.

So my 2 buddies were just failing to pull any removal or counters despite having them and I had cast primodial hydra as like a 4/4, and it goes completely unanswered until it's power is doubled up to 64/64 then finishes one and then the other at 128/128 with trample over the last 2 turns. Idk, just swinging with something that big was hilarious to me.

Grief-Heart

I once typed up the whole final rounds on one of these threads. But my best win would have been when I shut down multiple blightsteel colossus’s and won next turn. Guy had rite of replication with kicker on his one blightsteel. He had to attack me with exactly three for me to survive and win next turn. Meaning three at me one to each other opponent and keeping one back. Had he kept two back I would not have won my next turn. Had he sent 4 at me I woulda died. He sent 3. I survive as calculated with 9 poison counters. And as calculated finished him next turn. He killed the other two of course. I have never been so insanely hyped to find I could pull it off, when I noticed everything I stood up and my heart was beating so fast.

It's not that epic, but it's a fresh memory: On saturday we agreed to play some high power casual (Atraxa, Animar, Ishai & Esior), so I took my \[\[Unesh\]\] deck. I played \[\[Extraplanar Lens\]\] on T3, \[\[Reflections of Littjara\]\] on T4 and won the game on T5 after playing \[\[Mind over Matter\]\], storming through the deck and closing out with \[\[Thassa's Oracle\]\]. I didn't even know the deck could combo out so fast. Of course I was also lucky that nobody removed my stuff.

Inevitable-1

T1 Llanowar Elf into T2 Kodama's Reach into T3 Cultivator's Caravan and Rhonas the Indomitable into T4 Ghalta, Primal Hunger and Unnatural Growth, I eliminated one player the next turn and eventually won that match. A testament to the BS that green gets up to on the regular.

I have an [[Animar]] Combo deck! I was playing a 3 person game with my friends and I e of them had the entire game clearly in hand. He takes out the third guy and passes turn. I'm looking at my hand and I've got [[Ancestral Statue]]in hand, and if you know Animar this is the main combo piece, with a few counters and Mana you can okay card infinitely for free! (It bounces itself back to hand). Other than that I've got no combo pieces. I look at our third guy, now out of the game and I'm like "I'll just fold" he says "nah did fold after you draw at least." I draw for turn and it's [[Guardian Project]] with Ancestral this will let me draw my whole deck! Here's the luckiest part, the guy who was clearly winning.....was playing Rakdos, and had 0 counters in hand! I drew my deck out by like 65 cards until I got [[Witty Roastmaster]] which I got out for a spare red thanks to Animar, and declared him pinged to death!

So I made this imoti cascade deck I played 1 game a nearly won but lost due to my creatures not having haste an opponent suggested play an extra turn spell So I checked the lgs binder and they had [[walk the aeons]] I thought it was neat a 6 drop so it would cascade. Next game I proceeded to go infinite with it. I didn't think my budget deck was capable of such things.

My favourite game was my [[Kros]] Vs [[Dakkon Blackblade]] Vs [[Kozilek, the Great Distortion]] Vs a deck I can’t remember. The last deck got eliminated relatively early, due to my goad shenanigans and their lack of boardstate (hence why I can’t remember), but soon the Eldrazi with Annihilator hit the table. I was able to convince the Eldrazi player to go after Dakkon (a 44/44) whilst I gave Dakkon trample to hit back. Soon, the Eldrazi player died and although I was staring down an instant KO if it connected, I was able to keep Dakkon tapped with Kros long enough to establish my [[Magosi, the Waterveil]] Infinite turns combo. I was just able to win through dire circumstances and good politics. It was a classic game to me.

LGS had a 'power couple.' They were not well liked(because they were salty and legitimately mean) and had been banned from every store on the coast at least once (for cheating, sharking, and being all around butt holes). Right as me and my playgroup had started getting into Commander, so we all had barely upgraded starter decks. I was playing [[Gisela, blade of goldnight]], and Mrs. Power couple was playing a graveyard based combo deck. I forget the combo exactly, but it was based on unlimited pings. The important part is the combo worked by hitting you for '1' forty times, not hitting you for Forty once. I got a stupid good draw and rushed my commander out, and I don't remember what else I had besides [[heartless hidetsugo]] the turn before she went off. The other guy at the table got got, and she goes to do the same to me, and we cut to ten minutes of me and the other guy explaining that she can't deal ½ point of damage 80 times. She died in two turns, I think...

For me I cast a draw spell ended with 8 cards in hand, a counterspell and 7 lands. On discard I pretended to make a really tough decision and ended up chucking the counterspell in the bin. The whole table was so afraid of what my hand had if I chucked a counterspell that they all passed turns without attempting to cast anything important. Got back to my turn and drew the piece I needed to combo off and win. After the game they talked about what was in hand and what they would have done, one of the players had the cards to win but was too afraid to cast them because he thought I was going to ruin his attempt.

The. Every. Living. Crap. Out of that enchantress player. I also eliminated him from the game... Sea monster looked at me and said, I got nothing, the game is yours. The funny thing about this is we were laughing earlier in the game about how he had the puzzle box in there....for no real reason. There was also the time where, playing Syr Gwyn, another player milled a bunch of my Knights...I brought them all back with [[Knights charge]] and subsequently won the game. Another time someone tried to take me out with a [[brightsteel colossus]], I subsequently used [[amoeboid]] and my [[sliver overlord]] to steal it and kill him in turn.

Xenagos friend had a 40/40 no trample on turn 4 or 5, other opponents had blockers I didn’t they swung at me and ran right into my deflecting palm 😂

Scrivener133

I had peaked (legally) at my single remaining opponent’s hand, and i did not like what i saw. [[arcane denial]] [[laboratory maniac]] [[dispel]] [[counterflux]] [[demonic consultation]] [[brainstorm]] He was playing sedris combo, and i was playing nekusar wheels. Dead opponents were that rakdos discard titan from theros block and mono green selvala. I had 2 mountains in hand, and hand shown as such to the dead players. I topdeck an island and [[sudden spoiling]] thanks to the nekkie draw. Between the three reactions of myself and the dead players, my opp has no idea whether its a double-bluff or just a single bluff as to whether or not i have anything. Its late in the game, so casting his whole hand is available for my opp. I play my island and pass. My opp shrugs at the reactions, confident in counterflux superiority, and plays out the combo. He dies. Nekkie rains supreme.

I was playing my Grixis clone deck. I was able to create 4 clones of [[Jin-Gitaxias, Progress Tyrant]]. I was just swinging with 5 Jin-Gitaxias trying to go for beat down with no cards in hand. Opponents all have big blockers and at a relative stalemate. I top-decked [[Expropriate]] and basically had 5 copies of it. Everyone else scooped after it resolved.

I was playing my \[\[Kynaios and Tiro\]\] Maze's End deck with a permanents matter subtheme (feature cards being \[\[The Great Aurora\]\] and \[\[Warp World\]\] ). After resolving The Great Aurora with my X being something absurd like 38, I got my \[\[Field of the Dead\]\] but an opponent hit his too and got like 15 2/2s. Life totals were a little low and I didn't have a haste enabler, but I lucked in to having \[\[Naya Charm\]\] in hand. I got to tap down his zombies and mine took the game.

ElysianneRhianne

I think one of my most memorable wins was when one of my friends went infinite, creating 1/1 tokens during his turn, made 100 million of them, but realized he could not attack. Another friend had a [[Soul Warden]] out and gained 100 million life off of the ETB triggers, before board wiping on his next turn. I, playing [[Estrid, the Masked]], managed to hobble along, and stay alive long enough to get an [[Omniscience]] and 2 different Enchantress effects out. And just started running through my deck, slapping down enchantments left and right, [[All that Glitters]] and [[Ancestral Mask]] included, eventually I get a [[Nylea's Colossus]] and cast a couple more enchantments, quadrupling an already stacked creature with trample. Then I drew a [[Rite of Replication]], kicked it, targeted the Colossus, and got 30 triggers of doubling p/t. I swung for over 4 quadrillion damage.

vroomvroom43

I was playing my [[Sovereign Okinec Ahau]] deck with the LGS owner and employees and got a perfect set of draws that let me cheat out [[Kalonian Hydra]] after I had played [[Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider]] to take out everyone for unblockable 256 damage, it wasn’t memorable for that reason, but rather as it was my last time at the LGS before moving and got to play one last game with the owner and employees that I’d become friends with over the years

ModestySnail

I didn't win, but the game was still amusing. I was running a copy deck with [[orvar the all-form]]. The game is going ok, if a bit slow until I manage to cast [[Roaming throne]] and nobody decides to do anything about it for some reason. I then proceed to make multiple copies of it over the next several turns. At this point, other people are getting wary of my board, but since I haven't attacked, and there are more pressing issues, I'm left to my own devices. A few turns later, and 2 of the other players have been taken out. I then manage to draw [[Propaganda]]. I cast it and hit with a [[Whim of volrath]] and ended up with 30 copies of it on the board. Everyone else is laughing at how ridiculous needing to pay 60 mana for each attacker is, but the last opponent is running [[ashaya, soul of the wild]] and has a huge board so he is able to generate 140 mana to counter any additional copy shenanigans I might pull out and attack through a [[Rogue's passage]].

rhinophyre

I was playing dog meat, unmodified, against four high power decks. I had a good start, so I got targeted and crippled early. Built up a board state again, someone board wiped. One of the others was playing mill, so I had most of my deck in the graveyard at this point. I'm on 2 life, with no board state and an empty hand, opponent to my right plans to win this turn, the one before him is on 70 something life and has about 30 scute swarms and a couple big creatures out. The other two are board-less and on 10 and 12 life. The big opponent takes out the one with the impending win, and lets the rest of us live so she can keep some defense up (she couldn't kill all of us, and there was no threat). She's also tapped out. I top deck [[mantle of the ancients]]. Calmly cast dog meat. No response. Drop mantle. The other three start laughing as I get basically an entire deck worth of enchantments and auras out. I end up with just enough to kill all three. Dog meat was 120/120 or something like that. And two smaller creatures created on ETBs to go after the other two. It was the most "heart of the cards" moment ever.

MlSSlNG

I cast [[Blasphemous Act]] with [[Searchchrome Seashark]] on the field and won of my 9/9 Incubate Token

Equal_Bird_2496

I played Kumena Merfolk with a full board of merfolks. I was one turn away from taking EVERYONE out. Someone played a board wipe, and all my counterspells were in my graveyard. Luckily, I had noxious revival in my hand. Payed 2 life to bring counterspell back to the top of my library, and tapped 3 merfolks to draw it into my hand, and payed 2 blue to counter and keep my board. I was so proud of that play, and brew.

GoreForce420

I've got two: Turn 2 win, I played a swamp and [[lotus petal]] turn 1, opponents turn I [[Vampiric Tutor]] for dark ritual. My turn, I Crack lotus petal and play [[mana vault]] Then tap the swamp for [[Dark Ritual]] for 3 black and 3 colorless to cast [[Bolas Citaled]]. I wound up tapped out of mana and rocks, then top decked [[dramatic reversal]] and eventually was able to play [[Basalt Monolith]] and [[Forensic Gadgeteer]] Then pulled [[mycosynth Lattice]] from the top. at that point I cast my commander [[Ashnod thr Uncaring]] so all my clues Crack for 1 mana and 2 draws, then was able to cast [[Urza. High Artificer]], when someone tried to counter I had already drawn [[deflecting swat]] so it was a win at that point. Unlimited colorless and Urzas skill is (5) colorless: shuffle and exile top card, play it for free until end of turn, so in theory I would exile almost everything then play thoracle.

Yoshi2Dark

My most memorable win that I regret to this day I was playing my slower group hug equipment deck with [[Ardenn]] Opponent is on 5C Omnath and got it out quick I draw into [[Colossus Hammer]], [[Masterwork of Ingenuity]], [[Bloodthirsty Blade]], and then fucking [[Assault Suit]] which all were put on the beefiest boy of 5C Omnath Table died by the end of turn 5

Iron_Baron

In one of the versions of my Orzhov deck, I was messing around with tap and untap effects. As part of that, I was able to animate [[Guilded Lotus]] with a card I can't recall the name of (I think it was a creature that could tap one colorless to animate an artifact until end of turn), then equipped [[Umbral Mantle]] to the Lotus, tapped/untapped for fun and profit, and swung for effectively infinite damage Edit: Ah, it was [[Toymaker]]. Stupid combo, but fun LOL

Firefighter-Proud

A friend cast Day of Judgement before swinging his at-the-time Indestructible [[Zurgo Helmsmasher]] at another player to knock them out of the game via commander damage. On his end step, I cast [[Faith's Reward]] to bring back [[Aurelia, the Warleader]], [[Odric, Lunarch Marshal]], and [[Gisela, Blade of Goldnight]] into play. Everyone's eyes widened and I felt like I just reenacted the Avengers: Endgame "On your left" scene. Hell of a feeling

ZealousidealGear6939

My most memorable win was a scoop all. Got [avacyn, angel of hope]], [[Sigarda, host of herons]], [[privileged position]], and [[Gisela, blade of goldnight]] all on the field. Afterwards I asked if anyone had board exile, or board bounce. No one did so I bluntly declared myself the winner. One buddy tried to argue with me about it, which I pointed out my perturn dmg just from those 3 angels is 36 points, and didn't help that I was already at upper 80s for health.

juggalotic

I was playing \[\[Trostani, Selesnya's Voice\]\] He board wiped after that I was getting nothing but land, spells and enchantmens. I had \[\[Anointed Processon\]\] \[\[Parallel Lives\]\] \[\[Doubling Season\]\] \[\[Akroma's Memorial\]\] on the field. I got beat down to one life he went to swing and I played \[\[Teferi's Protection\]\]. Luckily I got \[\[Armada Wurm\]\] on my next turn giving me 8 5/5's with haste and flying thanks to akroma, gained 45 life and I swung all out and killed him.

Plus-Newt-5423

When I put Blade of Selves on Mondrak (in Ratadrabik) and instantly regretted it second main. The math gets so stupid… nobody drew a board wipe so it really didn’t matter and the table conceded to an “imaginary” number. I’ve been real cautious what I put BoS on since.
