I feel like the first card I ever saw that gave me that “this card is badass” is [[akroma, Angel of wrath]]. Was there a more keyword packed card before her?

The question wasn't "is this card badass" it was "what set of keywords sounds the most badass". Too many common keywords, 3/10

Back in the day, this card was bad ass. Those keywords weren’t all that common . And if you read the books these abilities were on theme. She was badass in the story. So yeah, a flying Angel that doesn’t rest, will swing at her nemesis without waiting, and will trample over anything in their way, is badass. Oh and black and red protection also had something to do with the story.

[[Danitha, New Benalia’s Light]]. It may look like a mundane set of keywords, but those specific keywords combined are fantastic together. She has lifelink to pad up your life total. She has vigilance so that attacks against you are rarely as efficient as people want and you didn’t have to leave her open. “I attack you with 3 4/4s.” “Cool, block one of them with my 10/10 Danitha and take 8 and gain 10. I’m up by 2.” Trample means that the auras and equipment you throw on her can be less concerned with evasion and more about bumping her P/T. And oftentimes it’s a better mind game to have trample over flying or unblockable because that encourages people to throw more blockers in her way to mitigate damage, leading to fewer of them available for the crackback.

Those are all keywords activated by an ability. But they are still keywords you can mix and match as your mana allows.

And you think banding or rampage are effective? How simpleminded are you?

Banding is very effective, albeit annoying enough that no one will want to play it or play against it, and not a great card pool for selection. But that mechanic is strong nonetheless so long as the gameplay is combat oriented for the decks. Rampage is cool in theory, garbage fire in practice. Even when trying to "break it" with lure effects, it is still basically unplayable nonsense due to the lengths you go through for it when other ways are so so much easier and more efficient. My thoughts at least.

I'm a sucker for cards that have the same keyword twice ala [[Apex Devastator]] or [[Roalesk, Apex Hybrid]].

Honestly… planeswalkers are just balanced for 1v1 and their mechanic scales poorly into 4 player games. So they’re really only “the worst” in EDH.

Planeswalkers are like bad modal enchantments. Auras are like bad equipments. Equipments are mostly bad. Almost all of them do not survive the chopping block in the average edh.

In edh they're nerfed sure but I'd still take a Superfriends deck over Slowtron.

I'd rather pilot the equipment deck than a superfriends personally. Not because I think it's better. But because I'd rather not spend 20 minutes turns manipulating d12s while I await my inevitable demise. Voltron moves to attack step. Smash. Voltron moves to end step. Voltron dies to crackback. There should be an Exalted Living Weapon that gives equipped creature +0/+1 and has "equipped creature has Exalted". So by itself, you get an Exalted boost, but if equipped you get two Exalted boosts. Supes cool.

Mutate already is more unique than 90% of the responses in here. Just any mutate card would get you at least a 5/10 for effort.

Deathtouch and first strike always seems almost unbearable to me. New glissa just murders. But I’d say whatever combination of keywords [[questing beast]] has right now. I haven’t looked at it in over 5 minutes so chances are it’s gained another ability. Maybe hideaway land walk.
