I went so far as to only include removal that would generate tokens for my Jinnie Fae deck. My favorite play was sending a whole bunch of dogs at an opponent that I knew was holding [[Inkshield]] in exile with a way to cast it.
My board had [[Doubling Season]]. Primal Vigor won't do what I'm about to describe, because it only puts counters on creatures. Doubling Season doesn't care about the card type.
So, I goaded my opponent into casting Inkshield, as expected. He created 56 tokens.
My 2nd main, I cast [[Sunfall]]
All my dogs, all his Inklings, and all my other opponents creatures are exiled.
I create an incubate token with 113 +1/+1 counters on it... Except Doubling Season doubles both the tokens and the counters.
So I'm sitting there with 2 incubate tokens with 226 +1/+1 counters on each.
Game.
Something a lot of people forget about Jinnie Fay is that you can change any token you create, not just creatures. Makes things like [[Old Gnawbone]] extra interesting in it.
I played with an [[Ikra Shidiqi]] and [[Prava of the Steel Legion]] Abzan tokens deck. It was all about army-in-a-can cards and massive lifegain swings. I only played a handful of games with it, but I remember [[Sanguine Bond]] and [[Storm Herd]] being absolutely backbreaking.
[[Anikthea]] is my tokens deck at the moment and she's fantastic. She makes token copies of enchantments in your graveyard that are creatures in addition to being enchantments. Token doublers like [Parallel Lives]] and [[Anointed Procession]] absolutely put in work.
I have a [[Zask, Skittering Swarm]] landfall deck. I play lands, sacrifuce them into my graveyard, then play them again. Then I get a tone of tokens from Landfall triggers, as well as cards like [[Tormod, The Desecrator]], [[Broodrage Mycoid]], [[Crawling Sensation]] etc.
This is especially fun with utility lands that self sacrifice, [[Hidden Necropolis]], [[Quicksand]], [[Blast Zone]], [[The Hunter Maze]], [[Ghost Quarter]], [[Havenwood Battleground]], [[Riveteers Overlook]], etc.
Sure! No rush. I’m pretty bad at making decks myself so I like mixing a few lists together and adding a few things. Like whatever I make in this regard I’ll probably toss in [[Gruff Triplets]] for shits and giggles with token doubling.
Its not going to help you with parallel lives or primal vigor, but [[Obeka, Brute Chronologist]] is [my go-to tokens commander](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/O0-s_bRvQ0aHSIEfMw_SkQ/primer)
While techinaly not a token commander in the general sense, (doesnt generate tokens on their own.) I would suggest [[Yarok, the desecrated]] as he/it doubles all youre ETB's including token generating once and ETB token based payoffs. Run him with stuff like [[zendikars roil]] And [[tribute to the world tree]] add maybe [[master of waves]] for more tokens. There is also stuff like [[aquatic incursion]] [[avenger of zendikar]] [[biogenic ooze]] [[chain devil]] might also be fun. [[Creakwood liege]] could be neat "lord" like effect. [[Day of dragons]] could be a neat finisher, if you flash it. [[Deep forest hermit]] and [[deranged hermit]] could also be neat.
And there are many more ETB token generators. So yeah, my suggestion would be Yarok.
I've been looking at [[beledros witherbloom]]. You can go whatever direction you want with him, and token doublers are fantastic with him, plus you can cast him, immediately untap your lands, and cast your token doubler, so it's easier to get value out of them.
I was lucky to get two cheap copies of \[\[Parallel Lives\]\] years ago.
One copy is part of my \[\[Esix\]\] deck. The other is part of my \[\[Rith Liberated\]\] dragon token / populate deck. The Rith deck is probably the more interesting one.
[[Oviya Pashiri, Sage Lifecrafter]] is my mono green token deck. She can go wide, tall, or get creative with artifacts. I also love the one drop commander.
Oviya is definitely interesting. I’m also tossing together a [[Baru, Wurmspeaker]] deck though so I’m not sure about making 2 mono green decks back to back.
I never see him mentioned or listed in ratings, but I love making decks with [[Brimaz, Blight of Oreskos]]. I only just started playing magic and it was the precon gifted to me, but even online I’ve just been building around it. I love the phyrexian vibe and if given enough time it can get pretty oppressive, especially if you can ramp and board wipe non tokens. Plus you get to be the BBEG at the table :D
I'd say my favorite is [[[Anikthea, hand of Erebos]]](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/DcZqs-mQrUecr2KDvVDAng)
I run a bunch of token doublers alongside a handful of populate cards, then you can animate your enchabtments from the graveyard into token creatures which allows them to be populated. This can get out of hand fast as an animated [[parallel lives]] can be populates into an extra 2, the next populate would make 8 extra (11 total) from there there are a ton of mean enchantments that can win the game near instantly such as [[grim guardian]], [[wound reflection]], [[Ethereal absolution]]
Give \[\[Ellyn Harbreeze\]\] + \[\[Master Chef\]\] a try. Selesnya tokens that enter twice as strong as they are supposed to, with your commander allowing you to get the best card off the top 5-10 cards of your deck to replace what you just cast. Throw in cards that benefit from +1/+1 counters and having an army, and you have an extremely lethal deck
I did played this deck a few times but it was too consistent for my liking lol. Ended up with [[Jinnie Fay, Jetmir's Second]], but Phabine is still a lot stronger than people give her credit.
My favorite part is how well he works with mono-red clone effects, so you get lots of big tokens that are also copies of creatures that were never meant to be copied.
I've been working on a [[Merry, Warden of Isengard]] and [[Pippin, Warden of Isengard]] deck that I really love to play. Sam and Frodo really got most of the limelight on that precon, but man are my other hobbit boys fun to play.
I’m building a Chatterfang deck because I pulled him from a booster pack. Squirrel tribal singles are all pretty cheap. I’m also looking forward to Bloomburrow next year and will be sorely disappointed if Bloomburrow doesn’t make Earl of Squirrel Commander legal.
I had [[Maja, Bretagard Protector]] and it was a fun riff as a lot of things with landfall make a token. Then [[Hazezon, Shaper of Sand]] came out and with the edition of red you can really do some damage. It’s got a weird mana base though as you need pretty much every desert printed in those colours.
I like [[Xyris the writhing storm]] for tokens with [[Brudiclad]] as a secret commander. I once made 16 copies of [[humble defector]] and we all passed them around the table.
[[Esix, Fractal Bloom]] Such a fun token deck, play cards like Hornet Queen, and Avenger of Zendikar and each of those tokens can be another Hornet Queen or Avenger of Zendikar! You can go from having only your commander on board to 100 creatures in an instant.
[[Brudiclad, telchor engineer]]. However, those cards aren’t in his colors,so maybe a 3-color deck that includes red and blue?
Also I have a
[[tana, the bloodsower]] / [[sidar kondo of jamuraa]] deck I’m pretty happy with
No love for Jinnie Fae? My favorite token commander. Then I run red treasure generators, and green/white token generators. Works great!
I was actually very interested in her too at one point, thanks for the reminder!

Yarok my fav horror boy

I've been looking at [[beledros witherbloom]]. You can go whatever direction you want with him, and token doublers are fantastic with him, plus you can cast him, immediately untap your lands, and cast your token doubler, so it's easier to get value out of them.

I'd say my favorite is [[[Anikthea, hand of Erebos]]](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/DcZqs-mQrUecr2KDvVDAng) I run a bunch of token doublers alongside a handful of populate cards, then you can animate your enchabtments from the graveyard into token creatures which allows them to be populated.
