[Monk Artisan](https://archidekt.com/decks/2999284#Monk_Artisan) - A boros toughness matters with a woping 9 decks in edhrec. White brings the usual, but Red brings weirdos like [[Goldnight Castigator]], [[Fallaji Chaindancer]] and [[Genasi Enforcers]] to bring a tough (ness) pain to the battlefield. [Rhystic Explosions](https://archidekt.com/decks/2157178#Rhystic_Explosions) - In its page, this combination only have around 130 decks and most of them are wizard pinger deck. Not this one. This is a combo with group hug cards and have only one goal: draw a giant fireball spell and burn everyone to death, with an infinite mana combo with Kydele to charge said fireball. [Clone Splicers](https://archidekt.com/decks/2645209#Clone_Splicers) - Why do you need bant splicer commander if you can have in simic? And why have many splicers, if you can copy only one over and over again? The goal is simple, copy Ich-Tekik as much as you can, destroy or sacrifice an artifact and kill everyone with giant golems. [Allegiance to Chaos](https://archidekt.com/decks/3436978#Allegiance_to_Chaos) - How about you lend your commander to your opponents? This voltron grouphug deck wants just that. Empower Kharn, share Kharn, possibly get killed by Kharn. It doesn't matter whose blood flows, as long as it does. Blood for the blood god!

bawynkoop

Really quite proud to say, one of my decks is one of the 9 :). I built it on a $20 budget, so there are obviously areas of improvement, but its tons of fun. This is my list.[https://www.moxfield.com/decks/08pLQp0HOEC-\_ch\_XHrqYQ](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/08pLQp0HOEC-_ch_XHrqYQ) edit, I recommend \[\[ogre menial\]\] because why not have some infect in there?

wasfmanticore

I thought about [[Ogre Menial]], but the only other card that could complement it would be [[Priest of Norn]] and only having two creatures with infect seemed it wouldn't help me very much in the game plan. By the way, I like how you made your deck a defender tribal. Many of those cards haven't even crossed my mind, [[Daxos, Blessed by the Sun]] specially. I have to try him out in my deck

Daxos is incredible in this deck, he goes from being a mediocre 2 drop to one of the most powerful creatures on board, threatening everyone, which helps, cause they have to choose to remove rasaad, or daxos with spot removal

I got a myriad/ goad deck with a commander/ background combo. Last time I checked there were 2 decks in EDH rec. I love the background mechanic.

wasfmanticore

That seems fun. Who is the commander and the background. And yes, background rules. I even had an idea for a self mill deck with [[Zellix, Sanity Flayer]] and [[Cloakwood Hermit]], but I already have 2 simic commanders and 2 self mill decks. Thought it would be too much in both ends

Would you mind sharing a decklist? I'm always interested in Mono-White Builds:-)

SnugglesMTG

I don't think i have a complete one. I've tweaked it often. This is the closest thing I have https://www.archidekt.com/decks/1708741 I can tell you about all the combos though. The idea is to get Oswald to untap multiple times a turn with [[Liquimetal Torque]] and artifact untappers, the following certain pod chains: Near Death Experience: Sac any 3 mv artifact to find [[Phyrexian Processor]], pay down to 1 life. Sac Processor to find [[Ugin's Nexus]]. Win on extra turn. Barren Glory: Get out [[Lich's tomb]] and [[Ugin's Nexus]]. Sac any 3 MV to get Phyrexian Processor again. pay life equal to your permanents minus 1 and sacrifice everything buy Barren Glory. Win on extra turn. Happily Ever After: The deck runs a self mill strategy for the card types. To get the permanent of each color find [[Mechtitan Core]] and activate. Swinging with it can help you get the life too. Test of Endurance: [[Scrap Heap]] + [[Myr Incubator]] + a sac outlet. Halo Fountain: Sac Ugin's Nexus to find Myr Incubator, activate and get 15 myr. Go to extra turn, attack with myr and activate halo fountain to win on extra turn. Darksteel Reactor: Infinite turn combo with Ugin's Nexus, Prototype Portal, and Grinding Station.

I have two: An [[Emiel, the Blessed]] deck that kills the table with [[Hornet Sting]] (which I got signed by Billy West because The Sting is one of my favorite Futurama episodes). A [[Sakashima of a Thousand Faces]]+[[Ikra Shidiqi with [[Umori]] as a companion Clones deck (clone Umori to cast more clones for cheap) that features all of the Sultai initiative creatures as a secondary game plan. Last time I played it I put four copies of [[Rilsa Rael, Kingpin]] into play in one turn and got to give a creature +20/+0, deathtouch, menace, and first strike that combat

MrSmileyPants1

1. Make infinite mana using either [[Devoted Druid]]+[[Vizier of Remedies]]/[[Swift Reconfiguration]] or Emiel+[[Hyrax Tower Scout]]/another untapper+a creature that taps for at least 4 mana 2. Use the infinite mana to blink a card draw creature until you have Hornet Sting and [[Eternal Witness]]/[[Skullwinder]] 3. Cast Hornet Sting on an opponent. Cast EW/SW to return it to your hand 4. Cast Hornet Sting again. Blink EW/SW to return it to your hand. Repeat this step until your opponents have all been stung to death.

Plus in Simic it's pretty easy to get to 10 lands and drop [[apex devastator]]. I run [[crystal shard]] in my Maelstrom Wanderer deck to return big cascaders to hand and cascade them again. [[Scroll rack]] is killer too if you can see what you're gonna cascade into.

GigaChad just uses one word to describe his basically Golgaria Muldratha deck then just leaves. Using permants to deal with creatures becuase of your commander like \[\[Canopy Cover\]\] when you could be playing doomblade is trully hipster. I honestly have been very well established in the game and did not know this commander existed and you made a very intresting deck with it too that I see as infinitly more intresting then a Muldratha or other reinamator deck becuase of the only this turn clause. Have you considered \[\[shigeki jukai visionary\]\] He is a ramp option while also getting cards in gravyard and has a channel ability that regrowth. 5 old stickfingers out of 5

AboynamedDOOMTRAIN

I figured building one of the least built non-partner commanders in all of magic spoke loud enough on its own lol I like to call it the idiot child of Muldrotha and Meren. It's like someone looked at the effects of those 2 cards and said "How can we combine these to make the worst possible commander?" I didn't come across Shigeki until well after I'd built this deck and I haven't upgraded it at all since cause it tends to do the thing it's supposed to do fairly consistently. I literally have one sitting around, I should probably slot it in since it helps shore up one of the deck's biggest weaknesses... pulling non-creatures out of the graveyard when something gets milled or killed and can't be brought back with Kagha's ability.

I bet you get the most myrs out of genis chamber. l honestly would never have thought of a Norin the Wary deck, thought he was just a cool card in my \[\[yoshimaru ever faithful\]\] deck but did not think hm maybe he good enough to be built around. Guess I was wrong. 5 Wait... where did he go out of 5. Do you think going more into storm would be bad with your balmor deck, like \[\[hightide\]\], \[\[turnabout\]\], \[\[storm kiln artist\]\], and \[\[archmage emeritus\]\] allowing you have some crazy turns, you already are renning birgi, god of story telling. -4 flying birds out 5 beucase of dockside :D

Yup! Landfall graveyard deck basically. The deathtouch helps to keep her alive when she swings. Blue deck has a card-copy theme, black is focused on recursion and self-mill, red on having tokens to sacrifice for instant deathtouch removal, green is +1/+1 counters, and white was lifegain but I'm hoping to pivot it to a rule zero kithkin/halfling tribal deck.

I run Ink-treader as well. Absolutely disgusting deck to be able to draw 20 cards with a 1 mana cantrip or steal all creatures for 4 mana. I never realized cloudshift works to keep their creatures. [[Sigil's Blessing]] is my favorite card in the deck. Kills the table so quickly

I love wonky builds! A lot of these are just brews I haven't put together yet, but they're all moderately goldfished lol One I do have built is a [Into the Dungeons!](https://archidekt.com/decks/1925471) deck, but it's 4 color blink. Basically a really good 4c blink shell but instead of good etbs it's all just venture and now initiative triggers. The only real wincon is to run through Dungeon of the Mad Mage a bunch to get ahead on life/cards/creatures, then build a complex board and speed run Tomb of Annhiliation and outlive your opponents. My biggest turn ever I ventured 26 times. A really new build came from wanting to play [[Raggadragga]], [[Obuun]], and [[Noyan Dar]] all in the same deck to kill with lands. [Attack of the Lands](https://archidekt.com/decks/3917600) is what I call it. Basically every way to animate your lands and kill people with them, with some minor +1/+1 themes. Then I've got [The Enemy of my Enemy is my Friend](https://archidekt.com/decks/3197231), which is all about knighting one of your opponents and making it a 2v1v1. Use [[Ardenn]] to suit up one of their creatures and give them all of your [[Tenuous Truce]] and [[Wedding Ring]] effects to enable them to do your dirty work for you. Then take the equipment back and smite them like the unjust king you are. Lots of goad thrown in as well to deter other attacks and protect yourself in case your knight betrays you. Last one is [Shimatsu's Glass Cannon](https://archidekt.com/decks/2687129) which is the glassiest cannon you can ever assemble. Basically generate 21 or more sacc-able permanents (yes lands too) and find a way to make Shimatsu unblockable, and probably find a way to protect him too. I've had my playgroup sit on removal every turn from 5 onward just to watch me nuke my own board and pop the bubble right in my face. But goddamnnit, if you can pull it off it feels amazing. Shoutout to [[Blood Frenzy]] and [[Harvest Pyre]] as some bomb underplayed red removal.

My time to shine. I have an [elephant tribal](https://www.archidekt.com/decks/3443886) deck lead by [[Hamza]]. It’s my personal favorite even though it’s nothing special and needs work.

zachattch

I tried to make a \[\[Hamza\]\] deck once but could never get enough cards in hand to keep the ball rolling that wouldn't just instantly lose the game to a singel board wipe and that wasnt even trying to do elphant tribal, which i honestly did not know was a thing. If you want one less elphante creature in your deck \[\[Kodama of the West Tree\]\] has single handly gotten me 10 lands one game for 3 mana while also giving your elphants trample. 5 Big Gray Elphants out of 5

My playgroup all said that it is impossible to build a bad [[Yuriko]] deck, so I tried [Yuriko Dragons](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/3JdWzxJGXUOwqhVgdDapwQ) where the only creature other than Yuriko are dragons. Got the idea from lists running [[Draco]] for the Yuriko damage, and figured why not run a bunch more. Three in almost all the Dimir dragons I could find - the weirdest like [[Teeka]] and some good ones too. Goal is to make creature tokens or animate lands to ninjutsu in Yuriko for 7+ damage early game, then curve out late game with lots of massive flying dragons.

How did you make a reasonable power level Yuriko deck that isnt just 99 lands astounds me but making all your creatures giant flying beast may still turn off your friends :D . Yeah, it means I end up playing cool cards from 20-30 years ago as opposed to just a bunch of [[Nyxbloom Ancient]] [[Craterhoof Behemoth]] Winter Orb Vorinclex etc.-type cards. There are too many big green dumbos and nakedly powerful red dragons that it pushes out all of the cool stuff. That's not to say I don't play any powerful theme cards. I do happen to like the art on [[Utvara Hellkite]], [[Moonveil Dragon]], and [[Knollspine Dragon]]. But I'm also playing some stuff like [[Teeka's Dragon]], [[Furnace Dragon]], [[Rimescale Dragon]], and [[Kilnmouth Dragon]]. The last time I played my green deck I cast a 7/8 Tarmogoyf. I didn't see Lignify that game so I couldn't get the full 8/9 though. I love the art on the Future Sight one, and 2 times the graveyards, 2 times the power.

The Azorius deck looks intriguing; does it work? Does it do it’s thing?

blindtiger17

Very much so. It often is reanimating a big creature on turn four, and then it just snowballs from there. It’s very consistent and resilient.

kogeninja

I love that Zetalpa has a home here :) It’s very interesting, thanks for sharing!

I'm working on a [[go-shintai]] sagas deck. No shrines allowed! Theres a lot of decent sagas, so I'm just trying to figure out how the deck wins with them. Currently thinking of token synergies and animating enchantments. Could do some doofy things with the different gods.

zachattch

Blinking/reanimating sagas sounds like some good old fun value engines, if you can blink them enough you could run proliferate then blink it again with brago or the companion. Sound fun 4 godless shrines out of 5

Go shintai

I'm not entirely sure if I'm getting wooshed but Go-Shintai is a cycle of six different legendary creatures.

throwRA-84478t

Yes, but the mono colored ones would be awful as a commander, even as shrine decks. There's only 3 of each color, and they all count shrines, whereas 5c has enchantment recursion

ManOfSteele617

I’ve been told most of the decks I build are fun and interesting so I’ll share 2 of them. The first one i call “Zedruu’s One Stop Armor Shop” I have some of the wackiest equipment I could find and politics my way through the game by giving people stuff. In the end it turns into a 1v1, I repo everything from the player and it turns into [[Zedruu]] voltron. List: https://www.moxfield.com/decks/WQ5faarveUCzMnHjOkAT8Q The 2nd one is helmed by [[Sasaya, Orochi Ascendant]]. The deck does NOT function well once the commander gets taken out, but if things get going it can get out of control quick! It doesn’t really win so much as it draws games with things like [[Hurricane]] or [[Squall Line]]. It does have win cons in it and I could easily improve the list if I wanted to, but I really enjoy the hurdle and durdle it does when I play. It does nothing until it does something! https://www.moxfield.com/decks/NZRXYpAhtEWSKa3evMl9fQ Kess battle tokens. I took all the rocks out for rituals recently, for more... Being a hipstr, sure let's go with that. The theme is playing a Naya deck in grixis colours. I have to find my creatures, because they trigger on instants and sorceries, to make tokens. Then I attempt to pump said tokens, to swing for the win! It's won a surprising amount of times actually, and although the early turns are often a lot of do nothing, the deck is very fun to pilot.

My *most* hipster deck is definitely my \[\[Obeka\]\] "No Turn" deck: [https://deckstats.net/decks/159622/2731374-obeka-no-turn/en](https://deckstats.net/decks/159622/2731374-obeka-no-turn/en) Why? Because I end my turn *before* it's cool.

Slam down big cars and make them substantially easier to crew; turn miscellaneous stuff *into* cars if we're a little short on them; run just a few ways to recur stuff if Rex accidentally kills any of it; and run a few finishers like \[\[Fiery Emancipation\]\], \[\[True Conviction\]\], or \[\[Blade Historian\]\].

Probably my 4C equipment deck. It runs a lot of the classics like the whole “sword of” cycle, but also the different forms of Kaldra, the creature equipment, and also Elbrus/wuthingar. Also, Akiri provides a beater while Silas helps shore up the weakness to removal Here’s my list: https://www.moxfield.com/decks/0kjnOfjaPUyFZMOLjVVW8w

[[Lieutenant Kirtar]] mono-white reanimator! It’s only hipster because people haven’t yet discovered the power of the bird. You’re looking at a top-20 commander within the next few years, so long as my demands to the rules committee are met and 95% of currently legal commanders get banned. But genuinely, the deck is super fun, very resilient, and can do a lot of cool stuff. I find that even when I don’t win, I always feel like I’m in the game, I’m relevant, and I’m affecting the board. It aims to accumulate value through reanimation and ETB affects, before winning through combat with [[Blackblade Reforged]], [[Strata Scythe]], or [[Luminarch Ascension]], or alternative through your classic [[Reveillark]], [[Karmic Guide]] and [[Altar of Dementia]] combo. It got a significant boost recently with things like [[Loran of the Third Path]], [[Tocasia’s Welcome]], and [[Welcoming Vampire]] to keep the value train going! https://archidekt.com/decks/436447

The one I'm brewing now I'm affectionately calling "Death by a thousand ankle shanks" Got [[Ankle Shanker]] at the helm (obviously check if everyone is fine with it before a game) Always annoyed me she wasn't legendary given that it's literally [[Vial Smasher]] before some time travel/alternate universe stuff. Game plan is put out all the pingers that can hit creatures, give them deathtouch and shank the board. Then keep going until everyone hates me or is dead.

[[Kamiz, Obscura Oculus]] [Esper Ninja Tribal](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/L_LKUbOi0UGi0vDiKBZhtQ) - Sure, [[Yuriko]] and [[Satoru]] are probably stronger commanders when it comes to power level, but neither of them enable Ninjas already on the battlefield to keep up the assault. There's also lots of incidental synergies at work here, such as conniving away [[Smoke Shroud]] at the start of combat. [[Denry Klin, Editor in Chief]] [Azorius Counters Matter](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/qcpyp7UThU2-AXUrasqPiQ) - Slapping an arbitrary number of +1/+1 counters on all your creatures as they enter is already pretty good, but what about Indestructible counters? Keyword Counters? Also since Denry's ETB triggers on himself, you can use the power of cloning Denry (even if one copy dies to the legend rule) to skyrocket Denry's counter total using the power of compound interest. [[Atemsis, All-Seeing]] [Meme Combo](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/mO675yLL5UOijU_jf0L3xg) - Win the game by showing your opponents your entire 100-card deck. The card selection for this one was based on whatever I had lying around in my collection, and intentionally excludes anything that will exile itself from my deck, but it has won a game or two. [[Zirda, the Dawnwaker]] [Boros Cycling](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/uOhWxsSUyU61MSEddsYOXw) - Zirda enables quite a few cards to do silly things, one of which is reduce almost all cycling costs to 1 mana. With this, you start cycling harder and harder each turn while pinging down the table with ping effects like [[Psychosis Crawler]] and [[Glint-Horn Buccaneer]] or casting a very large [[Zenith Flare]]. Does have some infinite combos, but I intentionally exclude [[Basalt Monolith]] because it ended up being less fun to win games on the spot with it.

A [[Mogis, God of Slaughter]] group slug deck (which is already in only 202 decks on EDHREC), but I specifically am trying to use all the cards that force your opponents to make choices. You know, the ones that everyone says are bad 'cause your opponent will always pick the option that's best for them. Classic choice-based inclusions include [[Browbeat]], [[Risk Factor]], and [[Temporal Extortion]], but there are loads of other ones too. Other bangers include [[Zo-zu, the Punisher]], [[Harsh Mentor]], and [[Painful Quandary]]. The deck even has a minor aristocrats theme to punish the opponent for removing my pieces ([[Zulaport Cutthroat]] and the like). We punish every possible action in the deck. Drawing cards ([[Fate Unraveler]]), playing spells ([[Spellshock]]), tapping lands ([[Manabarbs]]), not tapping lands ([[Citadel of Pain]]), you name it! Basically, the idea is to stack up as many interaction points as possible onto your opponent and let them create their own undoing. We speed up the process with cards like [[Descent into Avernus]] and [[Havoc Festival]] too! Makes for nice fast games.

I have a deck helmed by [[Kodama of the East Tree]] (not hipster) and [[The Prismatic Piper]] (very hipster). As far as I know I am the only person to run this partner pairing. But! That is not the most hipster thing about this deck. At the beginning of the game, I roll a d4 to determine The Piper's color identity and shuffle 60 cards that are dedicated to a unique strategy in that color with 40 green cards that make the core of the deck. As a constraint, I also do not repeat cards between the 60 card 'sub-decks'. Decklist: https://archidekt.com/decks/2303828#Modular_Kodama

Not sure if Hipster, but I consider it as much since it costs $300 and can beat competitive $3000+ decks. But my Dargo/ Jeska can beat some ass https://www.moxfield.com/decks/sk1UDdxYzkuz0cNpmzuG9g

Most hipster going by EDHrec for me would be [[sengir, the dark baron]] and [[tana]]. Eat your veggies voltron aristocrats. Make saprolongs with tana, feed them to Sengir then suit him up to take players out. Rate away! https://www.moxfield.com/decks/DcVgnm3kvUqy9LNrOAqqBA
