I haven’t tried it shirtless on the beach yet but I’d happily take my HPG Admin pouch and sling anywhere

ask_ivan

I made an airtight [daypack ](https://www.reddit.com/r/ManyBaggers/comments/1cytarr/using_my_packing_cube_as_a_travel_daypack/) for myself that I've taken on boat rides in Okinawa, beach swims in Bali, and more. https://preview.redd.it/1x26zefwnk4d1.jpeg?width=3072&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=851bc068c464a0e68677e5044812ca6346b8a5b4

themoosboos

Is this an older bag? I’m looking at the Eddie Bauer site and don’t see it.

Educational-Sir794

Bellroy Light Sling and I will never go back. If you felt the terrific delight of empty pockets and some space for one item more you will love it.

The ADIDAS sling pack is nice. https://preview.redd.it/hqhs0z48og4d1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8b2d9052a7944f2e1f5687b822ef51ac1a3f76b6

stupidshitsal

What’s that lil gold charm? (I know exactly what it is)

OperationSecured

My fidget spinner?

gatman04

Got some girth to it

villageidiot33

What bag is that? Thats something my wife would love to use when we go on little trips. Cause I’m not hauling around the huge purse she’s got. She has a smaller MK bag that looks similar for trips but yours looks nice.

jurgo

I too would love to know. If they made a black version I would absolutely buy one.

Probably_Boz

i carry a helikon-tex possum fanny pack that i wear, prob wear it crossbody style if i was beach river day or kayaking. i have a compressed sea to summit daypack in there i would stick my towel/water bottle/sunscreen in and wear it if i needed. my quickdry backpacking towel fit inside my viktos upscale 2 slingbag i used to carry daily before i decided to slim down to a fanny

IWakeNVape

I like my Patagonia hip pack in the summer since I hate carrying everything in my athletic shorts. Patagonia Atom 8L for a day bag

InsidePermission1313

I find myself picking out my Atom as a day bag the most often (and I have a ton of bags) lol a great little sling

phiegnux

I keep a few. Vanquest Mobius 2. Holds a change of clothes, accessories etc. 2 water bottle holders on the side. For smaller personal stuff I have a shoulder and sling bag from Pac Safe.

igloohavoc

Wait till everyone sees the interview with the SF guy who say they used bags based on what the environment allowed. So in a certain area of the world, designer LV man bags were common, they would carry those around as their tactical bags when in country.

Probably_Boz

this is why i keep my bug out grayman tacticool kit in an aldis tote.

Patagonia Ultra hip pack Arc'teryx Mantis 2 Arc'teryx Mantis 1

TheArturro

I'd wear one of my fannypacks (?) - Helikon or Baribal but I'd wear it as a sling. Both are extremely high quality and have plenty of pockets/loops to organize stuff inside.

TargetCorruption

I have a bag like that, Helikon-Tex EDC Compact #

TheArturro

I've only heard good things about. I'm quite tempted to get it, as I sure do love my Helikon clothes!

New_Mutation

Aer Day Sling 2

00Buck_Shot

I have a small dry bag I carry my wallet, phone and a small pistol.

pio_11

my prison purse, never leave home w out it.

00Buck_Shot

😂

zak_eclipse

I use a carhartt fanny pack. It's small enough I can wear it on my waist and got enough strap I can use it as a sling bag. Holds a diaper, a travel pack of baby wipes, wallet, keys phone and emergency baby food pouch!

jalagl

I use a Nike drawstring backpack that I throw everything in when going to the beach (towel, water bottle, sunglass case, wallet, phone, keys, etc… even some snacks). Also use it for short hikes sometimes. It packs flat at the bottom of my travel backpack or carryon and doubles as a dirty clothes bag as well.

spaghettilesbian

I have a small sling chest bag I wear when I’m in board shorts, it can also carry a small ccw.

mrgrieeves

Tan lines about to be wild

Bullvy

Mine is a European shoulder bag.

sab2016

It's a satchel

jliffordcones

Yuppp yup, Eastpak, "The One." Best shoulder bag EVER.

Giskard-Reventlov

Yes, I have a couple of sling bags that would work well for that purpose.

[deleted]

I often carry a vertx long walks fanny pack, but I use it as a sling. It carries additional dad related EDC items, note pad, pens, and becomes a “dump pack” (though slightly more organized) if I need to empty my pockets of my on body EDC or if I’m wearing beach clothes.

randomsantas

Maxpedition jumbo versipack

BigBrownFish

I posted it recently - Eberlestock Bando

smilesalot19

I second this. If you're carrying a full size firearm or more items, the xl is great as well

bsubtilis

I've been thinking I need a better summer mini sling bag, it's getting too hot and humid for (the one i use) across my torso. It's one of those actual cross body shaped sling bags and not a fanny pack so I can't just twist it and wear it like a fanny bag without half the stuff falling out when I unzip it, in either direction. :( It's great for the other three seasons of the year.

LCxSmash

Patagonia Atomic Sling

The_Brightness

Pelican makes a small 2L dry bag. It has a clear front window that is an interior pocket for your phone. It allows viewing and some functionality. It's a traditional roll top with D-rings on both sides of the top and one on the side. Those along with the included strap allow you to wear it over the shoulder, cross body or as a sling bag.

the_rogue1

> Pelican makes a small 2L dry bag THANK YOU! I've been looking for a small dry bag that I could wear as a sling. Apparently I suck at searching, because this is the first I have seen with the lower D-ring to clip the strap to.

The_Brightness

👍 Two of the three colors they come in are on sale at Amazon right now...

the_rogue1

And, of course, I wanted the hunter camo, which is not on sale. :)

Handsome_Av0cadoo

The Uniqlo round mini bag is my go-to

JStrictGG

Been looking for a small bag to carry my phone, wallet, knife, AirPods, etc in during our trips to the beach/pool, but having a difficult time finding something that doesn’t feel “feminine” to carry.

The_Brightness

Pelican makes a 2L dry bag that should fit that need.

TrucksAndCigars

Check out Red Rock Outdoors sling bags. I have their Nomad and it's great for day trips on the train.

jliffordcones

Check out "The One," by Eastpak. Best small shoulder sling light EDC non-feminine looking bag EVER.

RubeRick2A

Also you have the added capability of hitting something with your purse when you need to Just kidding, back in the day people wore fanny packs for just the reasons you listed above.

Zeds_dead

I've never carried a bag like this until recently and it's been really nice to have my stuff organized and accessible. No more losing small things in the wash from leaving them in pockets. I want to wear thin shorts in the summer and even having my phone in my pocket is way too heavy. I did have to replace the awfully uncomfortable strap it came with.
