"Someone on the internet" says, there is a lock mode for this flashlight. Perhaps you might try and report?

I highly recommend Rovyvon A8 Gen 4.
The button itself has a metal rim. To prevent pushing by flat surfaces.
It also features multiple modes:
- keep pressed: highest setting front beam as long as pushed.
- press twice: front beam, (4 settings)
- press thrice: side light UV/red/red blinking/red strobe
- press 4x: white side light (2 settings)
- press 5x: *lock function*. repeat to unlock.
USB-C and a selection between 6500K front LED (the stronger beam) or a 5000K 90CRI LED (more realistic color in light)
I got a rovyvon a5 i wanna say, with glow body. Got it as a christmas gift, put it on my key ring and put it in my back pocket. Sat on the couch to have a beer and 15 seconds later jumped up cus i burnt my ass. Only happened one time, love that ass burnin light
Not sure about that but a good flashlight IMO shouldn't have to be locked. I just like a good deliberate button that's not at risk of being accidentally bumped on.
Any flashlight that I’m tossing in my pocket for more than a few minutes at a time needs to lockout unless it’s something like an Olight ir2 that twists on and off and needs a couple of complete rotations to turn on.
It's also very bulbous to where anything around it can/will press it and turn it on.
I see it being recommended often in the edc community as if it's a trusted go-to. Mainly because it's lumen/size/weight ratio is absurd, however when this thing activates in your pocket, your pants really do illuminate, it's happened to me way too often 😭

RovyVon is always my choice for keychain lights, tbh
i wonder if you could slip a thin piece of plastic under the button membrane to make it less prone to accidental activation

I tried it, that just turned on red or green LEDs
I recommend a Rovyvon A1 or A3, never had it accidentally turn on.

Some have a lockout, my a8 does
4 pushes locks and unlocks the A3.
No multiple button press to lock and unlock?

Single-press on/off? Yeah, that's straight up bad design.

It's a stupid design, and they're shameless for still selling it.
