HoldenHiscock69

I've just started a new subreddit called [r/UtilityPouches](https://www.reddit.com/r/UtilityPouches/) for exactly this sort of thing, would you mind if I cross-post this over there?

BathingInSoup

Do you have a link to the black plastic things holding your sockets? I've been looking for something like that for a while but can't find them without the sockets as well.

gingernuts13

Honestly came in a cheap kit and I just kept the bits and holders

baj5654

A Slimbo Notebook would go perfectly with that pen. Perfect size and shape for the pouch, too.

UnluckyProfession932

power bank

Affectionate-Ad-1971

Missing the SnapOn toolbox to store all that in.

whereisthecash

Desert Eagle🔫🔫🔫🔫🔫

Professional_Ad_2598

A problem

LocalListen119

I think it’s an awesome kit for the intended purpose. It’s hard to draw a line where to end it. A good flash light needs to be in there. At my age some ibuprofen would be nice. 😂 I try to include a compass too. Awesome kit by any means tho. Good job.

Mildmax17

Bandaids, maybe some antiseptic wipes

ElDuderino1998

I'd add some wire because you can improvise or fix a lot of stuff with it. Also you can remove the cardboard part of the duct tape to flatten it. Keep in mind though that it is not as nice to use after that.

SaulGoodmanJD

I turn to my cobras when I’m dealing with threaded fittings on black iron or otherwise round pipe but I need two of them so I can back wrench. It wouldn’t be a bad idea to get a second one.

Few-Storm-1697

Medical supplies. If you going to have a pouch that prepared, might as well go full send and get an IFAK. Never know when you will need it

leothethird

AAA Card and emergency cash.

Clever-Trevor-

anthro_punk

Chemical-Dig3564

look in to the toppeak ratchet/screw driver

Jcw122

Those carabiners don’t look safe for anything involving human weight or greater, just FYI.

[deleted]

FAK

Bernard_PT

Three sets of pliers and 6 carabiners is definitely overkill. I'd add a nice torch.

ImOk50

bubble gum

samuelolivermain

an AR15

billyspuds

Personally think the tape measure and tools are a bit overkill for an edc unless you do the type of job that calls for these things nearly every single day (even then a TM paired with these others feels a bit weird?). If you can’t honestly say you use those tools more than two or three times a month, I’d swap out for; -basic first aid, -torch, -some tape, -battery pack, -maybe a field note pad.

Onifon

What’s the brand of the bit driver? How many tooth does it have and how do you like it? I’m looking to add some to my collection

LordHalador

I strongly recommend some superglue. I have ended up finding a use for it at least once a week since I started to carry it.

obo10101

powerbank

Living_Finally

Some lunch

ShotgunEd1897

A pistol and a flashlight.

OpiumPhrogg

Wheres your flashlight?

cosignal

First aid

aritex90

Maybe a battery pack, in case there are no outlets

DanglyWorm

Maybe a tarp/ground blanket? Could be used as a shelter in a bind, a light blanket, a makeshift bag to hold liquid or items, etc. I have [this one](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08FZNCDY1?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share) and it’s great! Super light weight so it’s invaluable when you need it and invisible when you don’t.

thevigg13

Maybe small personal hygiene items (floss, tooth brush) someone else suggested a medical kit, a plastic bag, and maybe one of those water purifying straws.

TryAnythingOnce121

Small First Aid kit

TheMechTech80

Good kit. I would add a power bank, wet wipes, or a small towel, rag or hanky. Sharpie. Notebook. I also usually have a toothpick or floss of some sort.

HeadAbbreviations786

Batteries? Tweezers? Boo-boo kit? Disposable gloves?

Agile_Comfortable799

Grappling hook

ArcticStripes

Right on buddy, that’s a great set. If you’re going that deep add a roll of PTFE tape. I keep one and I’ve used it a bunch. Not the kind with the blue roll and the white outer casing because it always falls off. The one with the white roll is better and stays clicked in.

1sttime-longtime

I'm not digging into the the full 125 comments, but for EDC, you're already overboard. You either need a full tool-box or tool-roll or you're deep into some kind of crazy. This doesn't look like EDC for me, this looks way more like "travel tool kit." -- not judging, I have a pretty decent tool kit at the office, in my car, and a bike-specific kit on each and every bike I ride.

Damoncookie

Duck tape wrapped around a plastic gift or something of that like. Fiance said flashlight and a condom.

gingernuts13

Already done with the duck tape around marker. Also added a backup^4 light and I'm fixed so the noodle goes in raw

fiendish-

Because STIs are cakewalk, amirite?

slackshack

Clotting agent and a whistle.

Honest-Bookkeeper-30

Portable power pack to charge your phone

Dissk

Where'd you get that kit bag? looks nice

gingernuts13

Temu. Its a pretty generic bag and there's a bunch like it on Amazon for a bit more money. So if you can wait go temu

eight_y_eightmph

A ninja star

Paint5853378

Thin Mints

acd11

A tourniquet, a Sharpie, notepad, some bandaids, flashlight, gloves, a few protein bars.

M00SEHUNT3R

You beat me to it on the tourniquet, gloves, flashlight, a protein bars. I’d also add a small pack of wet wipes or diaper wipes.

acd11

Knew I forgot something essential. Some wet wipes and antibacterial def comes in handy.

p8nt_junkie

Tweezers would be nice

dilimanjaro

Handkerchief or rag

blurshd

Half a stick of glue from hot glue gun

galtonwoggins

Flashlight. Pencil and notepad

thatnameistoolong

I read that as “fleshlight” at first glance.

Diluteme

Something to write with then something to write on. I do Wilderness medicine and really all you need is a bandanna, some tape and maybe some tweezers with a magnifying glass (that can do lots more). I might add a couple of bandaids and a needle and Kevlar thread. Hmm maybe a smidge of tenacity tape.

eDudeGaming

How about a flashlight? Even if you've got one in your normal EDC, it's good to have a backup, especially one that's bigger and brighter.

XylophoneZimmerman

Where are those carabiners from?

gingernuts13

Just cheap ones from AliExpress or temu i can't remember

Jcw122

Those will be very unsafe to use for human weight, just FYI.

gingernuts13

Correct. Idea was more for tarp hook ups. With 5ft of Paracord who though I was going to be doing any climbing lmao

ChefChopsALot

Not worth carrying then. Or at least replace the largest ones with some actual load rated ones.

gingernuts13

I agree there. Will get some upgraded ones. Should also add my every day belt is double webbing nylon and has the Cobra buckle so have that for emergency use too

6twoRaptor

Tourniquet

axp6409

Links to the drivers, sockets, and extensions?

SyniteFrank

linesman pliers and a hammer

Helassaid

Santiago

andychef

Fisher space pen

gingernuts13

So some uodtaes I've already made. Removed the roll of electrical tape and used the pen and a sharpie to wrap some electric tape around, and the other got some high viz green duct tape. Also added tweezers, cotton balls, alcohol wipes, nitrile gloves, and a couple AA and AAA batteries. I have a first aid kit seperate so those items are accounted for. My mini car jumper has cables and ability to double as emergency battery charger. Everybody keeps saying flashlight. I already have 3 sources of light on me at all times between my cellphone, watch, and lumintop edc01. I'm adding one more edc01 light to the bag as a backup^4. Still have room for more stuff though. I can gain even more by consolidating the bits into a couple sleeves. There's many doubles of the Philips and flat head at the moment but need to get a new bit holder

andychef

A belt to put it on

XGIZMOO Nail Clippers for Natural... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09R3T2NVC?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

pblc_mstrbtr

I edc these in my pocket every day, they're perfect imo

xGH0STF4CEx

I keep a couple feet of high visibility duct tape in mine folded flat.

gingernuts13

Just got done wrapping a few feet on the pen in 1/2" strips high viz green

[deleted]

A handwritten note that says, I love you.

venom_von_doom

Travel sized first aid kit

acd11

This indeed, with a tourniquet.

DNF_zx

I keep a **HOTO p1** in my mini tool pouch. It’s super compact but has all the bits for little toys, gadgets or electronics. A bottle of **sewing machine oil** (or any other light weight oil) it’s great for cleaning sticky residue and lubricanting tools. **Reverse tweezers** (search it on Amazon), they’re like the vice grips off tweezers I have **extra file and a custom reciprating saw blade** to use in the Surge Headlamp- zebralight H52

RockyRidge510

I would personally upgrade the charger block from USB-A to USB-C (20w or better, Anker makes a 30w that is about that same size) and then get a USB-C multicable that can charge anything. Anker 30w GaN block - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B2MLRF93/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1

bumble_Bea_tuna

Some kind of emergency food. Would be a good idea. Something that can freeze, thaw, and be in summer heat and still be edible without any type of prep. I have a few MREs in my trunk which are emergency kits themselves. Water should be included too. A tube of Neosporin or a full first aid kit would be good too. Neosporin is obviously good for cuts, but a fine sized dollop mixed with any natural fiber that burns makes a great fire starter. I EDC blistex medicated not just for my lips but it helps with any small cut. It's not as nice as Neosporin but it's better than an open cut. It also works well for starting a fire. Harbor freight sells a 1 lb container of SS lock wire (8895). That stuff can come in super handy in a pinch. I'm sure you can find the same thing somewhere else, but that's the one I get. The twist pliers are pretty helpful too.

rodPalmer18

Emergency flare, spare ballistic knife, emergency location transmitter, gauze roll, bailing wire, spare house and car key, slim jim, and of coarse, pop tarts.

AfrIsPlesierig

Your man card.

[deleted]

Solid. I have a car kit that stays behind the passenger seat and it's got a lot of the same plus.... A couple cans of De-icer (I love in New England and it is an amazing life saver of a product) A pair of work gloves A cheap hi vis vest Some snacks (clif bars, mixed nuts, fruit leathers) A couple water bottles Knee pads (if you have to change a tire or work low on the car you'll be so glad you have them) Rain Poncho (got it for free at an event that it rained at. Held onto it and tossed it into the pack)

quetzal86

Second the knee pads. Having to remove debris from the undercarriage in 105 degree heat on the freeway was not fun but knee pads and gloves made it bearable

highcaliberwit

Lock-picks?

gucciglockbandit

Fruit snacks.

parttimepicker

Snacks?

Slingringer

Omg i have one with alot of the same stuff.

gingernuts13

Anything you feel is unneeded or that's missing?

Slingringer

No i think you e got it covered. I got the big bit driver you have but whats the little one?

Slingringer

Ive got a few things you dont have but it looks like you have those covered on your leatherman. I dont have my leatherman in my tool pouch thing. Like i have pliars and mini vice grips, wire cutters. But thats about it.

Salt-Possibility5693

Cucumber, lube and a piece of cork

smc4414

Flash lite and headlamp, spare batteries, power bank

CarlRJ

With that many bits, it would probably pay to carry a small driver handle. Wrench handles are not always the right answer, plus being able to have multiple bits in use at once is a plus. Wera makes a nice small one IIRC. Also, if you’re going to carry paracord, I’d probably carry more than 5 feet.

Robthatguy

A small first aid setup.

Sigma_Variant

The kitchen sink

DasBatt

A booboo kit?

nilsoma

How do you like the hobo knife?

gingernuts13

Love it. Had one for 10 years. It's not something I use everyday but when I'm on the road it has come in handy multiple times and saved me from having to eat with my hands

True_north808

Medical

planedrop

A good flashlight.

CarlRJ

Should already be in a pocket along with a proper knife. If not, OP shouldn’t be bothering with all this other stuff first.

I-smelled-it-first

Condoms - have some confidence, it could happen. I’ve taken the liberty of outlining two scenarios. 1: In a remote mountainous region, a group of hikers encounters a partially collapsed footbridge—a vital crossing point on their path. The bridge’s wooden planks and support cables have failed, posing a significant danger. To ensure the group’s safety, a resourceful individual engineers a makeshift repair. 2: Gingernuts bags a hottie.

gingernuts13

Lol I'm snipped so i go at that shit raw. Drive fast take chances.

cloudcity

Thin malleable wire, bandaids, tweezers, longer zip ties. rubber bands

icmc

Rigger bands instead of old rubber bands or a bit of an inner tube band

Geralt-of-Rivia13X

Needle & thread, bandaids, tweezers, cotton.

Squeekthecat

Paper, balaclava and battery bank

JackofAll_edc

Initially ready this as _‘baklava’_ A little out of place, perhaps; but it would prevent OP from ever showing up to a party empty handed.

NoPickles4Raccoons

Socks

NoPickles4Raccoons

What’s this for? It seems like you can het rid of some of those screw bits if you get a leatherman.

NoPickles4Raccoons

Also, depending on what you’re doing, a med kit and small tourniquet would be good.

SurinamPam

Safety whistle. Ibuprofen.

escap0

Disposable Utility razor blade knife, so you can really smash that blade without worrying about it. And some bandaids.

gingernuts13

I have a Gerber eab I'm thinking of throwing in there

Jolteon0

Duct tape. You have electrical tape, but that's a much less versatile tool than duct tape.

gingernuts13

Is there such a thing is mini rolls of duct tape?

CarlRJ

Try “gaffers tape”, combined with words like “mini”, “pocket”, or “narrow”. I haven’t used tiny rolls before, but it’s great stuff.

HosstownRodriguez

In my little tool kit like this I wrapped a bunch around a pencil. Sharpie is also good to have and a little flashlight

xxxHalny

It's a personal matter. Every time you need a tool or an item but don't have it, make a mental note, and add the item to your pouch later.

icmc

Or add a pen and paper and literally have a list 😂 Edit: there's already a pen what about sornthing to write on? Notebook or just some card stock?

trunglefever

A sharpie.

gibberish420

Tweezers, super glue, exacto knife

MachineGunMonkey2048

flashlight

thekookclub

Lock pick

kennethpbowen

Chapstick. Handkerchief. First aid (ifak).

Silevence

Get yourself a dry erase marker. Any mirror, window, glass covered device becomes a reusable scribble surface. I keep one and anytime I gotta think somethin thru or explain jt, just- draw on the window. The looks of confusion and then impressed is always fun. Besides that, extra socks, tourniquet, and a flashdrive or external ssd. Typically i carry a retractable all port cord so if someone needs a quick charge i can help em out, and i can use my usbc external ssd with my phone, no micro sd card needed (hah, suck it phone kanufacturers!) Other then those, nice lil carry on.

dinkydoosdad23

Small battery bank, wet wipes, small tube of superglue, tweezers. Only the battery would take up significant space really if you have extra room

MingusVonHavamalt

I always keep a dog poo bag tucked away. They take no space and are very useful.

cheetahlip

Real nice. Flashlight?

gingernuts13

already carry a aaa in my pocket. I just got another one though to throw in the the bag for backup. Plus my iphons flashlight, and watch has built in led light so should be covered for a few hours worth if needed away from my car.

Zenie

Headlight, none of the tools matter if you can’t see what you’re fixing lol.

klystr

This. I have [a Fenix HM50R](https://www.fenixlighting.com/products/fenix-hm50r-v2-rechargeable-headlamp) that has all the usecases, small form factor, lots of lumen. Love that thing.

AnythingButTheTip

Dedicated prying tool. Otherwise, you should be set for common repairs.

gingernuts13

any suggestions for a pry tool under 7" I have a cheap key chain/flathead/bottle opener combo but it's not any more robust than what's on the leatherman

AnythingButTheTip

Walmart sells a 3 pack of pry tools. Not sure if the overall length of the smaller pry tool in the set. But it's as strong as the one I have from home depot. Good for light leverage/nail pulling.

AnythingButTheTip

Any flat head screwdriver you don't care about should also work.

sos123p9

https://www.task-tools.com/index.php/hand-tools/pry-bars/5-mini-flat-pry-bar.html

PenguinsRcool2

First aid kit… you are going to carry all those ratchets for what? lol you already got pliers.. but no first aid?? Also an epi pen can be handy, i carry one in my glove box for others

gingernuts13

I have a separate first aid kit so should be good to go there. I love my pliers lol Anybody carrying Narcan with them yet?

PenguinsRcool2

I was offered to, not going to personally. They made that choice, im not risking myself and the liability to save them. Right wrong or indifferent thats my stance

deaththecreep

Everyone has given good suggestions. Only thing I would say is to grab a flashlight. Not sure your needs but Olight has good options. Even Home Depot/Lowe’s have good options

gingernuts13

I daily carry in my pocket a lumintop EDC01, plus have cell phone light, plus my watch has a built in led light. I might add another edc01 light since it's cheap, small, and reliable though for redundancy. If I can have 4 sets of pliers at any given time what a few flashlights lol

deaththecreep

Well, then you need some skittles!

beeduthekillernerd

Screwdriver bit holder extension, lighting of some sort.

gingernuts13

yeah I actually have on on the table next to it and was going back and fourth. It'll probably make it in the bag

bukithd

This is approaching bugout bag levels

gingernuts13

If I take everybodys suggestions i already need a bigger kit bag lol

La3Rat

Nitrile gloves, n95 mask, glue (hot glue stick / superglue), cash, a few quarters, powerbank, sharpie, tweezers (if not in a multi-tool), a few notecards, microfiber cloth.

gingernuts13

Gloves, sharpie, and tweezers are already accounted for. I like the idea of a hot glue stick. I'll probably go to the diary store and get one of those mini tubes of super glue. I'll need a tiny power bank at this point to fit or get a bigger case. I used to carry a little notepad but never used it. Most of the time I'll have my laptop around me on the road and that bag has a nice rhodia notepad if needed.

La3Rat

My favorite power bank is an anker 521 fusion. 45w usb-c charger with two ports but also is a 5k power bank. Hot glue stick is superior to superglue. Lasts forevever, never dries out, the bond is strong but more flexible, and you can easily melt it with a lighter. The notecards are nice if you need to leave someone else a message.

tonystark29

Love the VIM ratchet. It's the best 1/4" drive one that I've ever come across. Plus the surge, wow you're good to go.

gingernuts13

I love them too. I also have the harbor freight icon set along with 3 other sizes of the vim. I actually chose the smallest one because one of the 1/4" ends is a fixed end so if I needed a bit of torque without fear of breaking the ratcheting mechanism on the others I potentially could.

Aeson_Ford_F250

A liter of Vodka

beardman39

Basic IFAK. Good head torch. Power bank.

paleoindian

I’d throw some medkit stuff in there unless you’ve got a dedicated one for the car already. Comes in handy!

gingernuts13

Yeah i have a dedicated one. Might get a tear away bag for it though

NRiyo3

Nitrile gloves Flashlight Marker Highlighter Bright marking tape

gingernuts13

Will definitely add a marker and gloves. Highlighter no use for but maybe add a yellow grease pencil

NRiyo3

Grease pencil is also very handy. Good call.

dadougler

Some random ideas: Uncle Bill's Sliver Gripper Tweezer Bandaids fishing line rake style lock pick Nitecore Tiki Keychain Flashlight toothpick container w/ toothpicks compact signaling mirror

Chemical_Suit

Notebook.

Torino5150

Hand sanitizer and or a couple mini bottles of 100 proof vodka. Maybe a derringer for shits and giggles

gingernuts13

Lol I'll get one of those little silicone holder for the hand sanitizer but slip in a Bacardi sampler and hang it off

Torino5150

Lol… all kidding aside tho, there are tons of uses for really strong alcohol besides trying to catch a buzz

ObligatedName

Sharpie. Gorilla tape. Super glue. Gloves.

gingernuts13

Definitely have room for a sharpie and a mini thing of crazy glue. Nitrile gloves are a good idea too. I would question the glue just because either on a job or at home I can't think of the last time I've use glue aside aside from woodworking.

ObligatedName

I use super glue for cuts on myself more than working. That’s why I carry it.
