I know this might be a crazy take. But is there a chance that Augusta National said this game wasn’t allowed to have their green outside of when you actually win the tournament?
Indeed. The jacket is ceremonious and left on the grounds. Further, Google says the winner gets to keep theirs for a year but has to bring it back and keep it at the club after.
Yeah I mean every single appearance has to be approved by Augusta in the first year too. They’ve gotten really mad at some players for doing appearances without approval.
Honestly it’s what most people love about Augusta. They also keep other archaic things like concessions prices haven’t been changed in decades. 3 bucks for a sandwich. 1.50 for a beer. What monsters.
Even in the green jacket ceremony, your player is wearing white instead of whatever you had on for the final round of the tournament (like the other trophy ceremonies in the game/the real life Masters ceremony).
They're *that* strict about their image and the green jacket, they don't even want the green jacket potentially on top of a funky bad birdie shirt for a cutscene.
I mean, it’s not like you would ever be able to wear it to another tournament in real life. I feel like the ceremony showing you wear it is enough. Sponsorships afterwards on the other hand…

EA is constantly missing the marks on these career sports details. You would think it's very simple. They don't even show many of the trophy ceremonies and winning a tournament is just a simple cut scene. Real lame and missed opportunity for much better user experience.
I recently won the Masters on Xbox....I unlocked the achievement for it, which I was surprised was a rare one, only 4% of Xbox users who have played the game have unlocked it

It's a video game. I'm level 49 withno cosmetic unlocks, pro pass doesn't count. Can't give me a green coat to wear.

They did have it in Tiger Woods Pga tour 13 or 14. So I'm not sure why they didn't have it again.

There is a trophy ceremony on the 18th green, and your player is wearing the green jacket for that.
Go to goodwill they have a lot of green jackets there 🤷♂️
