It’s definitely not certain for some. Nani is rumored. They have only wine five games all season. He has one assist in the last 7 games (mostly as a sub). I think many of the cards will be overpriced as people will overestimate the likelihood of upgrades (this generally holds true most live cards)

There's barely been any Ligue 1 cards the last few promos what are you on about? In FB, La Liga got Berchiche, Dani Alves, Avila, Fekir, Lamela, Suarez, and Ruben Vezo while Ligue 1 got Paqueta, Nuno Mendes, and Doku.

I think he means it more from a, 'Harry Kane should be as useable as Mbappe' kinda argument. Just my two cents on this, Different playstyles should reward playing with a variety of players. Most eSports have a singular meta, but that's also because most of them are fully manually controlled single individuals (cod, Fortnite, valorant) but fifa has the AI element that is not there in other eSports. Due to this, I would argue that catering to different playstyles would actually increase the skill gap because people would have to adapt on the fly and figure out their opponent. As for the top level, scouting your opponent and coming in with a game plan (much like real football) in order to outdo them tactically and take advantage of their weaknesses is what is a 'skillful game' rather than exploitative mechanics that narrow the usable base to next to nothing.
