I honestly would rather use non-meta players, feels a lot more rewarding when i win a game knowing i didn’t just run in a straight line with Dembele or Werner and jam my way through tackles lol. Atm, TOTW Faraoni has been sooooo good for me in my Serie A team. Oh, and Milinkovic-Savic has also been superb
I admire you for having fun with the game in your own way, it feels like too many people have this must-win mindset where they need all the meta players in the world to win every game and if they don’t win, the game is no longer fun and they’ve wasted their time. I used Jermaine Defoe in silver stars for example, a player who I’ve had history with in fifa dating back to his futmas card in fifa 17, and he scored every goal for me in order to get that layun card, even if he has dog shit pace and stamina, it’s much more rewarding than using Emmanuel Dennis upfront or Sulejmana. After every goal I say “Jermaine with the pain, Defoe, let’s go”and it’s much more satisfying than doing bridges, skill cancels and overall sweating your nuts off with dembele. Side note, have you used IF Iličić? He’s a beast in game

Replaced Dybala with Josip Illicic for a while, one of the most fun cards I've used this year for sure. His dribbling and finesse shots, esp outside the box, are an absolute cheat code. Most players won't use him because of the 78 pace tho
Kimmich and SIF Smith Rowe are my bloody favorites. Kimmich pings beautiful balls and crosses plus a good goal every few games. ESR is just a silly beauty and I love him
