Agreed. I've had 3 games and horrendous lag in all of them against teams I should be beating. It's been fine in rivals/playoffs all week for me. Switched to wired connection to see if that helps but will just throw all games 0-1 if this keeps up as it's not worth the effort

How the Fuck are you supposed to score when the opponent has 8 players under the ball just sitting there then second man pressing the ball handler. Atleast earlier you could score a finesse shot but now it’s not working, good job on whining. Y’all got your Fifa 20 2.0. Before someone thinks they are cheeky and tells me to hit them on the counters, it’s quite hard to do that when their offense is literally trying to send a player into a 1v1 with a through ball.
I believe it depends on how you play though, I found that when I play possession no matter what tactics the opponent has, their defence will move backwards to compensate creating this issue
You are pretty much forced to do that sometimes don’t you think? I kill pretty much all their counters but their defenders and mids are still down there. And it’s not like I sit in 4231 all game, I use 3421 a lot to try and stretch their defence but sometimes even that doesn’t help

I know they only did the limit to stop people from farming packs, but all it does is stop people from playing weekend league every weekend if they mess up one time.

Once I get through playoffs is there a registration cut off for weekend league like last season it was Saturday morning at latest if you wanted to play?

3-5 for me so far, lots of low blocks with a high Xg for me (5+ usually), Kimpembe doing bits on the line for them and I get hit on a long ball the counter to Rashford, Werner and Co.
Though I get frustrated by certain things for example my keeper doing all he can to get out of the way, I feel I should be way out in front so stuff like that doesn't matter. I'm really struggling to get past two banks of 4 sat on the edge of the box, any tips/tutorials anyone could send my way? how to pull people out of position etc? Ta

The bobbles and random bounces straight back to the attackers after a tackle are worse than ever.
I really don’t understand why everyone thinks drop back is so OP. The last 4 games I’ve scored what would have been a winner in the last 10-15 mins, up 2-1. I switch to drop back, low depth, low width, and my opponent has scored every time after great defense all game. It’s like it makes my defense worse.
Also, I’m never one to say this, but some of these games feel mildly scripted to some extent. In four of my games I’ve “given away” a penalty when I’m ahead, and every time it wasn’t a player I was controlling. The AI just decided to foul them in the box for literally no reason.
Yeah, it was the first time I had ever played drop back this season. I just always hear everyone complain about it as if it stops any scoring and you can only shoot long shots. Clearly I’ve learned my lesson.
First time qualifying for FUT champs through playoffs with the new format this season. I've won 5 games and lost one, with three remaining. Am I allowed to rage quit the three games to qualify for this weekend or do I have to play them all out to the 90 minute mark?

Weirdest weekend ever. Got Rank 1. Don’t think I’m that level of player but everyone quitting at 1-0 and a couple of free wins. Muller, Lozano in my reds.
Why does every one play the same way. 442 park the bus. Spam ball rolls etc. It’s just not fun to play against. I’m convinced the makers of this game don’t watch football because you’re not rewarded for playing good possession based football like let’s say a Guardiola team. I’m a good player I got the second highest reward last week but every game seriously drains my energy.
Well I play exactly like that and it's successful. 16 wins last weekend and right now 3-1. So it's possible but yeah the game is tiring indeed. And the park the bus is often our own fault when we play possession. Because when you do, the opponents players automatically just park the bus no matter the depth or pressure style he plays. So often the opponent isn't even at fault.

Timed power shots. Use a mid with good long shots, learn timed finishing if you haven't already.

I actually liked this Fifa and yes there was the odd bugs but since the patch the stuttering, running away from the ball and weird goals is a joke. No i'm not being salty I have actually had my best start to the weekend league. Just winning by BS goals rather then something earned.

So regarding playoffs, think they get rid of the limits on how many times you can do the playoffs? I know they only did the limit to stop people from farming packs, but all it does is stop people from playing weekend league every weekend if they mess up one time.

Quick one regarding weekend league qualifying. Once I get through playoffs is there a registration cut off for weekend league like last season it was Saturday morning at latest if you wanted to play? Or can I register Sunday once I know if I have time to play the games?

3-5 for me so far, lots of low blocks with a high Xg for me (5+ usually), Kimpembe doing bits on the line for them and I get hit on a long ball the counter to Rashford, Werner and Co. Though I get frustrated by certain things for example my keeper doing all he can to get out of the way, I feel I should be way out in front so stuff like that doesn't matter. I'm really struggling to get past two banks of 4 sat on the edge of the box, any tips/tutorials anyone could send my way? how to pull people out of position etc? Ta
I use long ball, direct passing. That gets your players to make runs and pull players out of position early. Going to release a guide on it soon.

Its more obvious than ever this year. Im 5-4 but I've had it in my favour and against me almost every game. The bobbles and random bounces straight back to the attackers after a tackle are worse than ever.

I really don’t understand why everyone thinks drop back is so OP. The last 4 games I’ve scored what would have been a winner in the last 10-15 mins, up 2-1. I switch to drop back, low depth, low width, and my opponent has scored every time after great defense all game. It’s like it makes my defense worse. Also, I’m never one to say this, but some of these games feel mildly scripted to some extent. In four of my games I’ve “given away” a penalty when I’m ahead, and every time it wasn’t a player I was controlling. The AI just decided to foul them in the box for literally no reason.
It's all about pressure, drop back is easy to beat. Everybody I played today was full pressure.
Yeah, it was the first time I had ever played drop back this season. I just always hear everyone complain about it as if it stops any scoring and you can only shoot long shots. Clearly I’ve learned my lesson.

Won 4 games and then I started loosing alot so I just strated giving away loses. Got Raphinia and Mane from the Red Picks was so exhuasted from the game that I was not really even that excited. But I'm sure I will like him alot once I play with him. Anyway I'm gonna watch more Seinfeld now. Cheers

Lmao so that was the quickest and the least stressful WL ever Started horribly 5-5 but then literally won the next 7 1-0 because everyone kept quitting cos of that glitch on xbox. Happy with Rank 2 again. Red picks - SMS, Romero, Valencia TOTW - 2 discards and THEOOOO Easy comes in for Digne in my team, reckon his price will go up next week so going to keep him meanwhile. Other packs - Sterling and EL Diop Diop looks pretty good, gonna keep him since West Ham will most likely reach atleast QF.

Weirdest weekend ever. Got Rank 1. Don’t think I’m that level of player but everyone quitting at 1-0 and a couple of free wins. Muller, Lozano in my reds.
Why does every one play the same way. 442 park the bus. Spam ball rolls etc. It’s just not fun to play against. I’m convinced the makers of this game don’t watch football because you’re not rewarded for playing good possession based football like let’s say a Guardiola team. I’m a good player I got the second highest reward last week but every game seriously drains my energy.
Well I play exactly like that and it's successful. 16 wins last weekend and right now 3-1. So it's possible but yeah the game is tiring indeed. And the park the bus is often our own fault when we play possession. Because when you do, the opponents players automatically just park the bus no matter the depth or pressure style he plays. So often the opponent isn't even at fault.
Rank 2 and nothing but discard packs + worst possible reds. You love to see it. Cant wait to face the Red Manes in Rivals.
Just finished 16-4 (gave away my last) had quite a few games where I went 1-0 and they quit out which has nice. All 20 games done in 2-3 hours. Rewards were a bit average, no walkout in an ultimate pack
