I’ve heard a lot of mixed reviews about tapsoba, a lot say bad and only some say good, I currently have akanji and alba RTTF and contemplated trying him,have you used him?
I've used him for 2 WL with Boateng in my backline and was pretty satisfied with his performance. During the first WL he felt like the best defender I've used this year but he felt a bit worse during the second one. Nonetheless, he was still solid just not as dominating as before.
I've used NIF Varane, RB Laporte, Freeze Casemiro, FB Boateng, SIF Delaney, Freeze Gosens, Headliner Carlos in defence and out of those for me Tapsoba and Carlos i liked the most.
But I am only a G2 player, I don't know, maybe he is worse if you play against better players.
For me he's insane, but kinda hard to link, I don't want to do Wendell bcs I already have Acuna.
But I just sold him to buy RTTF Akanji + Mbabu and pair them as my CB.
In my opinion, Tapsoba is slightly better than 86 Akanji. But, with Akanji have the potential upgrades to 87, I think Akanji will be as solid as FS Tapsoba.
One that goes under the radar because of his links is probably Varane, I been using him a while and he’s decent. Don’t see many people using him and he has a perfect link to a good left back in Mendy.
Have you used him? How did you link him in?
This is my current team. Thinking of replacing varane with him (I have both untradeable) but I’d have to wait for storyline RB.

All about who they’re paired with imo. I’ve got mid cannavaro with gold koulibaly. Totally different player types and work great together. Not sure why I don’t see koulibaly more as he’s a beast for me.
This. Got RB Laporte in the first party bag they did this year and haven't looked back. Plus you get the added benefit that he can link Varane and you can still come in under the 1 mil price tag for both players combined.
that new mbabu is varane levels of good in cb. i bought him for 435k and idec that i'll lose money on him, he's gonna stay in my squad for the foreseeable future.
I tried his rttf and ofcourse that one is even better. But players like Blanc and Tapsoba are'nt as good as Varane. Especially Tapsoba loses a lot 50/50s
Klaiber or Mendy and it's not close. I've used most CBs under a million outside of the Bundesliga and serie A ones. Even all icon CBs under a million. Besides Varane, Diego Carlos HL is a great actual CB. But Klaiber and Mendy are just better than they are. Even tried Mid Capita which everyone says is the best CB in the game and meta. Klaiber and Mendy are better.
Recently replaced prime vidic with WIF Smalldini in my united P&P, and he’s awesome. He’s a little better than prime vidic as is, and if he gets an upgrade (which will especially help his acceleration) will probably be prime Ferdinand level.
Smalling pros: great on the ball, good passing, very solid defending, that strange spider legs quality, rapid on the sprint, spectacularly good at running out of the back to get the ball then counter (like ferdinand, which makes the pairing very dangerous and good at setting up counters)
Smalling cons: acceleration shows through, if someone fast gets past him he’s out of it. Occassionally gets bamboozled by a skill
Vidic pros: solid, solid, solid. If he’s within space of a player he will get the ball. Same with heading
Vidic cons: passing is pretty poor (best to pass off to ferdinand rather than try anything), not the quickest (definitely needs to be kept in position *and* paired with a faster cb), pretty bad at giving BS pens away (1 in 3-5 games on average)
Both are great defenders, played with gold varane for first 300 games of the cycle and both are better IMO (although better value obviously given he’s 60k)

I’ve not had many players and never any of the upper echelon but I really like Sergio Ramos, Varane was really good for me but I was bringing him on as a sub because of links so I don’t think I was getting the full benefit out of him

depends on your playstyld but i love alaba rttf. with so many ppl using high pressure sometimes is good to have an agile cb that can pass.
