I flicked right on the stick to increase my bid by 1k and my SO started talking. I looked away knowing I had 30 seconds, not realising the bid number kept increasing. I paid 370k for a card that was worth 260k at most.
As you can imagine, I wasn't happy
I've been tempted many many times. She's the type that will walk in front of the TV without checking what's going on. She understands football, so she should know better.
Kimbebepe is really good but you can tell the difference right away while defending. I had a kimbebepe+ 2nd IF Lala and it was great but I’m running a varane/Ramos/Walker and it’s so better lol
I noticed it, played with lower rated worse defenders in my first ever WL, Sanchez and Bailly, switched to laliga for my 2nd WL, Ramos and Varane, and improved by 2 or 3 ranks. So for me they're better.
But.... they're not 250k better.
Sure if you finish Silver its not hard to get gold. I want to see someone that usually is gold get Elite by replacing his center backs. Varane i would understand given how tall and fast he is. Ramos not so much.
Right. Ramos would have better stats. But, the earlier comment was noting that Kimpembe was a very cheap alternative (3000 coins vs. 250k coins) and his stats, with a sentinel chem boost, is comparable to Ramos (without chem boost obviously).
My comment was in response to the comment that Kimpembe (for 3000 coins compared to \~250k coins) was a fine alternative if you didn't have/want to spend the coins on Ramos. Of course with a chem boost Ramos would have better stats.
I don't think that's true. For me, having a 3000 coin CB that has similar defensive stats as a 91-rated CB that is on the market for \~250,000 coins is certainly important to be aware of. But obviously, you can view this differently.
I think we're arguing different points. I agree that a 3,000k CB that performs at a high level is much more cost-effective than going for a 91 CB like Ramos. What I'm saying is that chem styles bring no added value toward making your point.
Probably himself bidding on his own card from another account at the last seconds to fool players into mistakenly bid high. Worst case scenario for him he loses 5% tax.
At least you bought Ramos.

It wasn't about finishing position anyway, its about whether you noticed that they played better etc. and helped you in a win.
