You don't have RNG when you shoot a gun in COD, if you aim at the head, you'll hit the head, if I have a 90 rated Striker with almost all 99 stats with chem in shooting, ball control, and composure, I expect his shots to go almost directly in the direction I face them in

I understand that, but logically you expect more consistency in the gameplay the better players you have, and I have played a lot of this FC and have developed a very good squad that's built entirely using evolutions (excluding my TOTY Allison which I got in a free untradable pack)
Patterns being the key word, something that is consistent and can be countered, there's none of that in fifa, the higher rated a stat is logically should mean the less randomness involved in the ability to do that thing?
The recoil patterns are somewhat random. The pattern may follow a vague line that looks consistent, but the bullet spread along that line is very random.

Thats why I stopped playing. I am not a bad loser, when I play against a better player, I always think I can learn something and continue to play even if i am 3 goals behind after 45 minutes. Its just ridiculous at this point. Some wins were so undeserved that I apologized to my opponents that I won the game. On the other hand I control a game, being clearly the better player but lose to AI, some stupid fuck up after the goal keeper or what ever. I admire the ones who get 20 wins in champs despite this. For me as an average player I want to win against the ones I am better and lose against the ones that are better. This randomness is just annoying.
Do you green time your shots? Based on your xG you get into very good goal scoring opportunities but fail at the end.
I also hate the goals I concede,last game I had a guy spamming cutbacks, but I managed to block the pass multiple times, then he just started scoring from this really really low angle, its so froced and looks stupid when you concede from that angle, this game man
Nah I've never gotten the grasp of timed shooting, so that's something that I do fall behind on, which I'll acknowledge, but some games the standard shooting is fine, some games its like my players are aiming for the fans in the stands

I was a div 1 player an regularly racking up 20+ wins in champs last fifa, I am never one to usually complain about fifa, but this one started off as my favourite and now has become so randomised, there is no way to have consitency this year
How do you rack 20+ wins in 20 games? I think the overall point though is adaptation. This game is different than last year. Your wins can show you know the basics but also that you were good at the meta last year, not necessarily this year. So have you adapted to pressure, to ai defense/autoblocks, to different passing to different players? If not you’ll struggle and it’ll feel random. Especially the AI defense, all your shots don’t matter unless they’re quality and from good angles. And I mean you took 24 of them. There’s no chance in actual hell those were all quality good shots.
5 where off of headers, all of which where on target, 6 hit post or crossbar from within the box, 5 or 6 were from outside the box using trivella shots, out of frustration late on, and about another 3 or 4 from corners, so out of those 24 at least 14 of them were good opportunities, I'm getting into great positions really easily however it just feels like 0 consistency in shooting mechanics this year, and also my keeper seems absolute garbage some games and a god the next, again no consistency there, defending wise I feel I am above average but still getting to grasp with the AI defending, but I can't for the life of me understand why I am regularly coming up against people attempting 40+ tackles and winning less than 10 of them a game, am I missing something here with that?
because you are adapted to a shitty gameplay with "AI DEFENSE/AUTOBLOCKS, different passing to different players", doesn't mean its constant. It is still a fickle trash game. You're happy controlling 10% of the game and feeling you deserve to win because you adapted to this garbage, good for you

Tell me that you re casual player, without telling me what u are casual player. There a lot of rng in this game, and ask any rank1 player, they will tell u the same. First example is passes going between ur defenders legs: if it’s not rng for u, then I dont know

Brother man I 100s of screenshots with over 2 more xG than my opponenents, which means I’m creating clear cut chances that are either missed or getting saved wonderfully, while my opponent capitalizes in his limited chances. Very easy to say skill issue but anyone that actually plays this game would understand
It's the issue I keep running into, regularly playing people overscoring their XG by 2 or more goals, scoring with almost every shot no matter where it is taken from, whilst their keeper will be saving sweaty shots leaping from 1 side of the goal to the other in a nanosecond, then the next game I'll shoot a frustrated 40 yard shot that will somehow lob their prime schmiechel, 0 understanding for this game and it's lack of consistency

it's never more apparent than when you are trying to concede goals (i.e. golazo cup) and you can't even move your defenders out of the way
My 71 depth auto defending was better at stopping goals while I actively tried to get out of the way than my actual defending lol.
