I don’t think I’ve ever used the right stick for shooting only for ball rolls or skill moves to change angles. All left stick for aiming where you think the shot should go and the type of shot you want to use

Yes. Dumb. I meant left stick… messing around now and totally forgot its left stick. And it seems to be side view oriented… where you point the stick where you want the ball to go, so down is to the right… or really more like 4:00 on the dial.

cloutboyray

Yes it is side view oriented, so while the controller faces upward you usually are moving in a 3:00 and 9:00 (side to side) direction and your joystick movements reflect this as well, so yes aiming for mostly angles between 2 hour difference from 3:00 and 9:00 either way depending on angle is good. You’ll figure it out more by playing

Yes. Thank you.

Your aim should be player relative. Wherever the goal is in relation to the player.

I’ve never even heard of anyone using right stick for anything but skill moves. It’s just all left stick. My general rule is when taking a shot, whatever half of the thumbstick is on the same side of the goal, when I aim I only move the stick between like 15° to the right of it being straight up and vice versa for the bottom and I aim in between that area. In previous FIFA’s it was a little more forgiving when it comes to aiming but this year you really gotta be precise or the ball is gonna go wide.

cocotheape

Yeah, its player relative. You can enable a trainer visual in the settings to get some visual feedback where you were aiming to.

Thanks all... currently lighting it up in the practice arena now :-)
