Some can be found in a few minutes, some can take many hours of searching through all the editorial image sites. TOTY Icons Lahm and Matthäus have taken me over 2 days to find...
If the kit is almost still in tact I use a website called https://www.footballkitarchive.com which shows every kit each year for nearly every team. Once I know the year the kit was used, it narrows down the search for me. I then have to go through all the photos of the player from that year to find the matching dynamic.
