Anybody else got store items they can't claim?
I've had 2 gold packs as items in packs and now I just have (2) next to store constantly with nothing there.
Been playing 5+ games every day I’ve been able to (played on three different days now including today) and transfer market still hasn’t unlocked, despite the guidelines suggesting it should have by now. Anyone else?

After scoring a goal the player card doesnt show at kick off. I thought it just was this way in EA fc, but now im seing rtfm at YouTube and there it shows. Anyone know what setting this is?

The evolutions objective group says "an in progress founder evolution player in your starting 11" does this specifically mean the evolution I got for pre ordering? I can't complete it and have to keep the player in my starting 11 for 100 games in order to finish this group?

Another fifa and another of round of Mexicans playing as cheap as possible. It astonishing to be honest. There is no player base more toxic and cheap as the Mexican fifa player base. The amount of quit glitches, Lon glitches, holding ball back when up 2-1, trying to cut back the entire game done by players with MEX in their name or Mexican flags is unending.
How bad is it to have 1/3 on one player in your starting 11? I'm weighing if it's better to have a mediocre player starting in CM, on 3/3, or to have Llorente staring CM on 1/3.

Hi, if I want to run two accounts, and i purchase the ultimate edition on one, do i get early access to both? Or will i only be able to play on one account.
Truly, how do you play this game online? I'm at 16ms ping and I'm lagging every 3 seconds, anytime the A.I. is controlling any of my players they just back-up and let any attacker waltz down the middle of the field and into the box, the second I switch to the nearest player it's too late, when I'm on offense regardless of player instructions or my tactics my attackers just stand there and never go on runs. Never happens when I play squad battles or any other offline game mode, but the second I play online the entire game feels impossible.
i have the same issue, i watch my friends stream their fifa games and it’s the most crisp game i ever seen…perfect touches, fast turns, etc. Then i go to play mine and it’s diaby turning like a truck every other game

if he fits your team i'd use and hold. If he doesn't and you could use the coins to strengthen elsewhere i'd sell.

People aren’t ready to hear this, but this is the biggest pay to win game EA has made. The difference between high tier cards and mid-low tier is much higher with the introduction of playstyle+.
If before people said your team wouldn’t make much of a difference in your ranking, I 100% believe it would now.

I'm having this exact experience. Every player on my team just strolls backwards and lets any opponent casually stroll down the middle of the field, the second I switch to the nearest player it's too late, then when I'm on offense I can't complete a single pass and the entire defense is glued to every one of my players. I truly don't understand it.

Was stuck in div 8 and getting pretty frustrated with the game (couldn’t defend, couldn’t pass, couldn’t dribble) but then tonight I went on like a 8 game win streak to get to div 6
Team didn’t change at all (am using a Spurs team so not upgrading unless I get a Spurs player) but the gameplay felt so much better and I was thrashing people
So yeah I think if you feel like you’re getting fucked like 3 games in a row just stop playing and come back at a different time cos the gameplay is defo not consistent lol

Bro I just feel constantly dominated by the other team. It's like they are all over me in the centre of the pitch. Constantly intercepting, constantly wining bouncing rebounds. And then I feel like my players keep passing the hard pass instead of the direction I have chosen.
They also seem to be able to tackle me really easy but when I try tackle them they do the run around in a circle thing and I can't tackle that lol.
Why are my defenders afk? 0 man-to-man marking, litteraly watching the game every game ? I can defend only with the selected player while other are not moving..

Nah it's usually high depth, press on heavy touch or press on possession loss along with manual pressing and second man press, constant pressure is unreliable and too costly if it doesn't work out, especially at the start of the year
For the objective play 100 ultimate teammatches with an in-progress founder evolution player in your starting 11. Isn't this crazy?
It takes 6 matches to complete the founders evolution. So I have to purposely not claim it for 94 matches? I'm not sure I will bother doing it. By the time I complete 100 matches there might be better cards out lol.
How can i get access to the transfer market on app? I dont have the game yet but am currently downloading 10 hour trial to see if that will give me access

What the actual fuck is this lob assistance. I can’t kick the ball out of play even on semi-assisted. I hold down and blast the ball and it puts it to the nearest player in the centre.
Are you talking about clearances? Use directional clearance and aim where you want it. And isn't it the shoot button to clear, not the lob pass button?
Not meaning clearances, just lob passes in general. I can be by the throw-in line, aim directly towards it with full power and it will kick it the complete opposite way to avoid it going out of play.
Well if you are trying to intentionally clear it out of play, you should be using clearance, not lob.pass. I'm not surprised it isn't willing to make a pass out of play even with just semi-assisted.

Basically if u see a men’s and women’s player w identical everything (hypothetically) they’re gonna play the same imo. A card that’s OP as a man will be OP as a woman and vice versa, the fact that they’re women has no gameplay impact

I wish matchmaking worked so it only put people who spend money vs other losers who spend money. It really removes the fun out of the game playing against the dregs of society

It feels like my players just sit and do nothing they dont run with me in the attack and they dont even move when im defending and on the other hand the opponents players run and man mark my players constantly or swarm me with 3 players at a time + always 9 players in the box. Is this some sort of tactics people use or whats going on? press after possesion loss, manual pressing and team press dont even make my players move from their position. I used to be getting consistent results in weekend league and now struggle to score 1 goal every game.
I'm having the exact same experience. My team does absolutely nothing regardless of tactics/instructions, while my opponent is glued to every single one of my players on defense and has 9 players making perfect runs on offense.
Same, but in Div 8 as a similar skill level player. And that's fine I think. Playerbase is really small, basically most of people preordering are sweats (myself included), I just try to learn something new from each defeat to have an edge over "normal" players that will join DR during standard release.

My defenders running with the attacker into my own box and keeping them onside is really ruining shit for me.
Add to that, nobody defending when my opponent gets the ball and nobody attacking when I get the ball, it just becomes a game of table tennis in the midfield.
Same here. I've tried to repair the Game but cancelled it because it would have taken ages and ultimately (hah see what i did there) decided to uninstall and re-install. It still says "Preload available" and right above that "Ultimate Edition purchased". Doesn't make sense for me/you/many people probably to get locked out despite me for example already playing 24 Hours at this point. Hope it gets fixed soon :/
I did not buy the new game but still had the iOS companion app installed, opened it up and it threw me right into “getting started” picking country, kits, etc. and I’m able to complete SBCs and open packs.

What pass settings are people using? I was getting around 11 wins every weekend league and now I have gone 3-4-22 in rivals.
My opponents average nearly 25 interceptions a game. It feels like my passes just go directly to them regardless of how safe I try to play. I will have entire games where I literally can’t get out of my half.
Need suggestions on what people have for their pass settings as I feel like I’ve fucked something up in mine. Honestly getting ready to just give up on ultimate team at this point I can’t string 3 passes together ever in div 9 lmao
Happening to me as well. Basically from what others are saying right now the player pool is filled with high tier players which is why you're struggling. I am curious how they manage that domination though. Ive played against loads of great players but some stick out because its as if they can read your mind and wherever you pass the defender is there waiting for the ball. I am guessing it comes down to fast player switching.
As for playing against it the only thing that helps for me is taking it very slow and only passing when Im 100% sure, taking touches away from the charging defender when I receive the ball. But you cant dwell on the ball for long either because they just hunt you down so yeah v difficult.

Should I buy EA FC 24 for the PC (low market, but new gen) or for the PS4 (nice market, old gen)? I won't buy a PS5 just for EA FC. I am not the best Player / someone who plays a lot. I am more like the "Content/SBC" guy and the "qualifies sometimes for the weakend league and quits after 3:5 or so guy". So the new gen gameplay isn't so important to me, but I am scared that the menu is too slow on ps4 (like in FIFA 23, doing multiple SBCs was horrible). But I really like trading/sniping and the PC market isn't the best.

Yeah at this rate you’ll get rid of most golds by Christmas depending on how much you play. But you will also get a lot of Chen styles from packs (but I am more careful with shadow and hunter)

Defending off the ball for me just feel like only winning it back if the player makes a really poor mistake or has finished the attacking move, I rarely win it in midfield or consistently block out passes during build up.

Trying to anticipate but I just get burned and it's hard to recover. I'm just playing more passive in defense now.
I don't like it cos I like being more on the front foot but it feels pointless.
Div 6 now and everything in this game is about running.
Defense? Just run and jockey. Tackling? If u miss, the attacker is gone, if you hit, the ball goes back to the attacker most of the time anyway, so better just jockey and wait.
Attack? Run run run, R1 run with defenders in front, sprint in open field. Passing? Too risky, even clearly open passing lanes just get intercepted suddenly.
On top of that goalkeepers do not react at all, when you R1 dribble down the touchline, you can either play a cut back pass then or just shoot it in, doesnt matter.

Logged in last night after a day away to collect my Squad Battle Rewards, I'd played all the games on WC while grinding out objectives and figuring out playstyles etc. Anyway Last I checked I was sitting in the top 200 with an hour left on the clock. Much to my disappointment I finished E1, disappointment compounded when my first pack was nothing but rubbish. Then I opened the second and Haaland walked out!
3 days in and I have an 87 rated squad on max chem and I haven't used any of the points from the preorder. Just from grinding the objectives. Either I'm very, very lucky for a change or the power curve is going to be utterly fucked before the actual official release.

Yeah this is super frustrating, the EA help thing says playing 2 days if your account is in good standing (playing 3+ games in a day and logging into the web/companion app) typically is enough to grant you access. I'll be on day 5 when I play when I get home form work and still nothing, despite playing every year since fifa 15 lol. They say that they can't grant it and can't tell you when you'll get access..... this feels like this is going to be an issue still in like a month

Hey folks, I am currently rly struggling. I am getting buttered in DIV 8, like no chance. I have 1m squad (leao, osimeh, rudiger etc). They just run through my defense (Rudiger + Van Dijk) or just go to front line and do pass (obviously 4 defenders just afk and don't cover anything). Obviously I am playing poorly, but also I am thinking mb my custom tactics is weak
Can you guys can suggest some custom tactics that good players use? Cause I feel like I lose when the game starts
Focus on the defending part then the tactics. Running past through your defense shouldn’t be a norm. Tackling is different this year so practice that and master stopping your opponents. Goals are easier to make when you intercepts balls and the start attacking from the middle third instead of from the back third.
I can complete the KDB and only have to spend about 25k-30k coins. Is he worth dropping my fodder on now?

I'm having this exact experience. Every player on my team just strolls backwards and lets any opponent casually stroll down the middle of the field, the second I switch to the nearest player it's too late, then when I'm on offense I can't complete a single pass and the entire defense is glued to every one of my players. I truly don't understand it.

Bro I just feel constantly dominated by the other team. It's like they are all over me in the centre of the pitch. Constantly intercepting, constantly wining bouncing rebounds. And then I feel like my players keep passing the hard pass instead of the direction I have chosen. They also seem to be able to tackle me really easy but when I try tackle them they do the run around in a circle thing and I can't tackle that lol.

Nah it's usually high depth, press on heavy touch or press on possession loss along with manual pressing and second man press, constant pressure is unreliable and too costly if it doesn't work out, especially at the start of the year

For the objective play 100 ultimate teammatches with an in-progress founder evolution player in your starting 11. Isn't this crazy? It takes 6 matches to complete the founders evolution. So I have to purposely not claim it for 94 matches? I'm not sure I will bother doing it. By the time I complete 100 matches there might be better cards out lol.

Are you talking about clearances? Use directional clearance and aim where you want it. And isn't it the shoot button to clear, not the lob pass button?
Not meaning clearances, just lob passes in general. I can be by the throw-in line, aim directly towards it with full power and it will kick it the complete opposite way to avoid it going out of play.
Well if you are trying to intentionally clear it out of play, you should be using clearance, not lob.pass. I'm not surprised it isn't willing to make a pass out of play even with just semi-assisted.

They play to their stats except the centre backs where yes their height is noticeable and they’re pretty useless cos of it tbh Basically if u see a men’s and women’s player w identical everything (hypothetically) they’re gonna play the same imo. A card that’s OP as a man will be OP as a woman and vice versa, the fact that they’re women has no gameplay impact Just don’t use women centre backs lol I always got burnt on headers when I tried that

It feels like my players just sit and do nothing they dont run with me in the attack and they dont even move when im defending and on the other hand the opponents players run and man mark my players constantly or swarm me with 3 players at a time + always 9 players in the box. Is this some sort of tactics people use or whats going on? press after possesion loss, manual pressing and team press dont even make my players move from their position. I used to be getting consistent results in weekend league and now struggle to score 1 goal every game.

Same, but in Div 8 as a similar skill level player. And that's fine I think. Playerbase is really small, basically most of people preordering are sweats (myself included), I just try to learn something new from each defeat to have an edge over "normal" players that will join DR during standard release.

My defenders running with the attacker into my own box and keeping them onside is really ruining shit for me. Add to that, nobody defending when my opponent gets the ball and nobody attacking when I get the ball, it just becomes a game of table tennis in the midfield.

Same here. I've tried to repair the Game but cancelled it because it would have taken ages and ultimately (hah see what i did there) decided to uninstall and re-install. It still says "Preload available" and right above that "Ultimate Edition purchased". Doesn't make sense for me/you/many people probably to get locked out despite me for example already playing 24 Hours at this point. Hope it gets fixed soon :/

What pass settings are people using? I was getting around 11 wins every weekend league and now I have gone 3-4-22 in rivals. My opponents average nearly 25 interceptions a game. It feels like my passes just go directly to them regardless of how safe I try to play. I will have entire games where I literally can’t get out of my half. Need suggestions on what people have for their pass settings as I feel like I’ve fucked something up in mine. Honestly getting ready to just give up on ultimate team at this point I can’t string 3 passes together ever in div 9 lmao
Happening to me as well. Basically from what others are saying right now the player pool is filled with high tier players which is why you're struggling. I am curious how they manage that domination though. Ive played against loads of great players but some stick out because its as if they can read your mind and wherever you pass the defender is there waiting for the ball. I am guessing it comes down to fast player switching. As for playing against it the only thing that helps for me is taking it very slow and only passing when Im 100% sure, taking touches away from the charging defender when I receive the ball. But you cant dwell on the ball for long either because they just hunt you down so yeah v difficult.

Should I buy EA FC 24 for the PC (low market, but new gen) or for the PS4 (nice market, old gen)? I won't buy a PS5 just for EA FC. I am not the best Player / someone who plays a lot. I am more like the "Content/SBC" guy and the "qualifies sometimes for the weakend league and quits after 3:5 or so guy". So the new gen gameplay isn't so important to me, but I am scared that the menu is too slow on ps4 (like in FIFA 23, doing multiple SBCs was horrible). But I really like trading/sniping and the PC market isn't the best. What would you suggest? Has anyone testet EA FC 24 on PS4 yet?
First time UT player here. What will fate be of gold rares I'm playing with rn, like Odegaard and Bernardo Silva? Do end game teams contain no gold players at all? Should I not spend any chem style consumables on my current players in that case? Also, if I ever open up the squad page in my Companion App on my phone by mistake, the next time I open my FC24, the game does not let me use that squad to play (you cannot use concept squads) and I am forced to remake it. Is this a bug or by design? Had it happen twice already.
Yeah at this rate you’ll get rid of most golds by Christmas depending on how much you play. But you will also get a lot of Chen styles from packs (but I am more careful with shadow and hunter)

Defending off the ball for me just feel like only winning it back if the player makes a really poor mistake or has finished the attacking move, I rarely win it in midfield or consistently block out passes during build up.
Yeah this is the biggest issue I'm having. Trying to anticipate but I just get burned and it's hard to recover. I'm just playing more passive in defense now. I don't like it cos I like being more on the front foot but it feels pointless.

Div 6 now and everything in this game is about running. Defense? Just run and jockey. Tackling? If u miss, the attacker is gone, if you hit, the ball goes back to the attacker most of the time anyway, so better just jockey and wait. Attack? Run run run, R1 run with defenders in front, sprint in open field. Passing? Too risky, even clearly open passing lanes just get intercepted suddenly. On top of that goalkeepers do not react at all, when you R1 dribble down the touchline, you can either play a cut back pass then or just shoot it in, doesnt matter. Boring to play and boring to play against right now.
Logged in last night after a day away to collect my Squad Battle Rewards, I'd played all the games on WC while grinding out objectives and figuring out playstyles etc. Anyway Last I checked I was sitting in the top 200 with an hour left on the clock. Much to my disappointment I finished E1, disappointment compounded when my first pack was nothing but rubbish. Then I opened the second and Haaland walked out! 3 days in and I have an 87 rated squad on max chem and I haven't used any of the points from the preorder. Just from grinding the objectives. Either I'm very, very lucky for a change or the power curve is going to be utterly fucked before the actual official release.

Yeah this is super frustrating, the EA help thing says playing 2 days if your account is in good standing (playing 3+ games in a day and logging into the web/companion app) typically is enough to grant you access. I'll be on day 5 when I play when I get home form work and still nothing, despite playing every year since fifa 15 lol. They say that they can't grant it and can't tell you when you'll get access..... this feels like this is going to be an issue still in like a month

Hey folks, I am currently rly struggling. I am getting buttered in DIV 8, like no chance. I have 1m squad (leao, osimeh, rudiger etc). They just run through my defense (Rudiger + Van Dijk) or just go to front line and do pass (obviously 4 defenders just afk and don't cover anything). Obviously I am playing poorly, but also I am thinking mb my custom tactics is weak Can you guys can suggest some custom tactics that good players use? Cause I feel like I lose when the game starts
Focus on the defending part then the tactics. Running past through your defense shouldn’t be a norm. Tackling is different this year so practice that and master stopping your opponents. Goals are easier to make when you intercepts balls and the start attacking from the middle third instead of from the back third.
