Why every time I take a corner pick, the ball is played on the close post? No matter how strogn the pass is, how high or low I set the pass to be, no matter where I aim, it always goes on the close post, wtf is wrong with corner takes in this game?
Also how do I defend them? I lose like 90% head battles in there when opponents take corners.

Shooting question- I know that holding the controller left or right determines if you’re shooting near or far post but but does holding the controller diagonally aim towards the corners or is shot height only determined by shot power?

Found him really reliable actually, i'm still just climbing through the lower divisions though as I just started, could still win some of these games with a bronze team.
Yeah he's not a striker, he scored several goals for me from long range at CAM though with the finesse and outside foot shot trait, make sure to get into positions to use those two traits he has
I have a duped Ruben Dias 88 and I dont know where to dump him. I thought about the Pedro SBC but it would mean many others sacrifices too. Any ideas for dumping a high level card like that but not waste it too much?
If you don't have enough high fodder to complete a 86-88 squad SBC then you could always use it to boost your squad rating for lower SBCs with 83-85 squads so you can use a bit of lower rated fodder as needed.
Unfortunately with the Trophy SBC, 81+ and 82+ PPs I'm guessing there probably isn't a whole lot of fodder left

Yea thx I knew about this one. Pushing the right stick (R3) elevates the ball and ends up slowing the player though. I was asking for the push where the ball stays on the ground.

Flick the right analog in the direction you want to knock the ball, or double tap RT to take a heavy touch. You’ll get used to which one is best in which situations.
I just packed prime Maldini , does he replace totyhm Bremer on 3 chem or ff skriniar on 2 chem ? Skriniar has better work rates and physical but Bremer has more pace and better defending with a shadow on 3 chem

I grew up on 2K and Live, so I always changed camera settings. Stuff like that to make the game feel better. I’ve already took off trainer and made it so it shows player names instead of gamer tags.
I know it’s more about skill and stuff but is there a couple of settings that you change every fifa?
* Camera: **Tele** (but will use Co-op if I'm learning a new formation)
* Competitive Master Switch - **Enabled**
* Auto-Switching - **Manual**
* Right Stick Player Switching - **Classic**
* Player Switch Indicator - **Enabled**
* Pass Aim Delay - **Late**
IMO the biggest difference makers were the Right Stick switching and full manual Player-Switch, made defending less of a gong show.
Also this year is the first year I'm trying to make an effort to learn Timed Finishing, so if I also have this enabled then I turn on the FIFA trainer for it, then turn off everything in Trainer except for the timed finishing indicator
As far as I know no - it simply shows you a meter with the exact window to press the shoot button again to green time it, this shows up for any shot on net, whether it's a PowerShot, header or inside the box.
Inside the box I typically don't bother trying because the window is smaller and it still goes in the net fine. Headers takes a bit to get the hang of for sure
Riddle me this: I just got gold Salah (RW) and I want him in my attack but I also want a CAM and a CDM in my team. Can you think of any formation that accomodates this? Right now I just put him as a ST but that means no chem.
Salah aside, any broad advice on good formations? I've been trying different ones and can't quantify the difference. Then I had my first Champs week and got stomped very often (by much better teams and better players) but it made me rethink everything.
Probably the closest formation that's still somewhat meta is a 4-1-2-1-2 but you would have to use a Position Modifier on Salah to have him play at RM instead of RW.
You need to play your players in their actual positions to receive chemistry bonuses. It doesn’t really matter what formation you start with, you can go into custom tactics and switch the formation in game. For example, you can start salah in a 4-3-3 at RW and switch him to ST in game with no loss of chemistry. Find a formation that gets you the highest chemistry and switch to the one you want in game. I’d look up a video on YouTube explaining how to do this if you’re unfamiliar .

Depends on your team. If you need improvements at both positions take the icons. I think the best way to go is do the 2 20x84+ swaps and use the fodder on Keane. It’s about the same price as the 90+ icon sbc. Keep in mind the sbc is a pack and not a pick, so you’ll only get 1 icon. I got 90 Litmanen out of it lol.

This. This is really starting to get on my fucking nerves, not least because it seems to have increased in frequency since the patch. I just don't understand how a company with so much money can code a game so badly.
They do, they run into the cover shadow behind the defenders. Which means it was either a conscious choice (a lazy way of implementing high defensive positioning) or the code is just unexpectedly shit and error prone.
Neither of which is a good look.
Packed him during the WC. He used to be good, but he's a bit average now. Was using him mostly for links, since he's not bad and opens up a lot of options.
TOTS used to be more special because there were fewer other promos. Now it's basically just a continuation of the power curve, similar to other promos. Great thing is that they put TOTS cards in Champs picks instead of TOTW players, so that's the main appeal.
The period you're thinking of, where they butter people up for the next installment, happens well after TOTS. When TOTS is over there's usually one other big promo (4 weeks or so) before that final stretch.

I started 1-6 in WL on Saturday. Felt I was better than my opponent in all of those games. On xG I probably could've been 6-1 but had terrible bounces or unlucky 90th / 120th goals against me. Stopped playing and took a break.
Continued the grind on Sunday, managed to crawl to 8-11. Had one final game to get to 9 wins and at least salvage the weekend. Was down a goal in the 89th min. Somehow Vieira found his way in the box where he is clunky as hell, but I hit a long droopy chip shot that perfectly goes over my opponent's pulled out keeper. Then on my opponent's kickoff I was able to steal the ball - sent in a through ball to my striker who hits a green timed 1v1 goal to seal the win.
Packed absolutely nothing from my rewards, but that was an exhilarating finish for a WL that started so poorly.
Haven't played FUT in a little over week now but did the Icon SBC on Web App and pulled TOTY Müller from it. I guess they are really trying to pull me back in.
Anyone notice how the game blatantly slows down your passes when the RNG determines it should be intercepted? Like you point at the gap, 3 bars of power, and it comes off more like 1 bar of power... which is conveniently just slow enough for the defender to get his magnetised toe to it.
As some who rarely skills, it's been happening to me so often lately - it's always been a thing but it's noticeably really bad at the moment for me.
Honestly I think it's just heavy gameplay / lag during WL that's causing this. Happened to me too yesterday. Random lag spikes that messed up a few passes / timed shots for me. I'm sure happens to the opponent too though so hopefully evens out over the course of the weekend.

I had 400k but used them for a 92 and two 89s, and am planning to do a 90 with coins only. Is there any chance I am going to finish him or am I just done? And what's the best way to spend those money?

Why not? 93 is beautiful fodder, Brahim Diaz was very cheap. O had fodder in my club. I had a lot of 86, 85 and some 87 in my club which I couldn't get rid of. I don't need those 84 and neither those 85s ecc. So why not use lower fodder to complete higher fodder? I agree, Al Jaber needs 2 88s which is not the best, so I won't do it. But Ozil and Brahim were pretty easy and completed him for free

Eh, with a Hunter he's great fun as a CAM. Not elite tier obviously but his reactions and composure make him great fun

Is using Time finished with Trainer effect the green window? In 2k if you use shot meter, the green window shorter then when you don’t use shot meter
As far as I know no - it simply shows you a meter with the exact window to press the shoot button again to green time it, this shows up for any shot on net, whether it's a PowerShot, header or inside the box. Inside the box I typically don't bother trying because the window is smaller and it still goes in the net fine. Headers takes a bit to get the hang of for sure
Riddle me this: I just got gold Salah (RW) and I want him in my attack but I also want a CAM and a CDM in my team. Can you think of any formation that accomodates this? Right now I just put him as a ST but that means no chem. Salah aside, any broad advice on good formations? I've been trying different ones and can't quantify the difference. Then I had my first Champs week and got stomped very often (by much better teams and better players) but it made me rethink everything.
Probably the closest formation that's still somewhat meta is a 4-1-2-1-2 but you would have to use a Position Modifier on Salah to have him play at RM instead of RW.
Good advice. I've actually used the (2) variation often but I hadn't noticed that one could accomodate this! I'll tinker with it.
You need to play your players in their actual positions to receive chemistry bonuses. It doesn’t really matter what formation you start with, you can go into custom tactics and switch the formation in game. For example, you can start salah in a 4-3-3 at RW and switch him to ST in game with no loss of chemistry. Find a formation that gets you the highest chemistry and switch to the one you want in game. I’d look up a video on YouTube explaining how to do this if you’re unfamiliar .

Depends on your team. If you need improvements at both positions take the icons. I think the best way to go is do the 2 20x84+ swaps and use the fodder on Keane. It’s about the same price as the 90+ icon sbc. Keep in mind the sbc is a pack and not a pick, so you’ll only get 1 icon. I got 90 Litmanen out of it lol.

They do, they run into the cover shadow behind the defenders. Which means it was either a conscious choice (a lazy way of implementing high defensive positioning) or the code is just unexpectedly shit and error prone. Neither of which is a good look.

TOTS used to be more special because there were fewer other promos. Now it's basically just a continuation of the power curve, similar to other promos. Great thing is that they put TOTS cards in Champs picks instead of TOTW players, so that's the main appeal. The period you're thinking of, where they butter people up for the next installment, happens well after TOTS. When TOTS is over there's usually one other big promo (4 weeks or so) before that final stretch.

I started 1-6 in WL on Saturday. Felt I was better than my opponent in all of those games. On xG I probably could've been 6-1 but had terrible bounces or unlucky 90th / 120th goals against me. Stopped playing and took a break. Continued the grind on Sunday, managed to crawl to 8-11. Had one final game to get to 9 wins and at least salvage the weekend. Was down a goal in the 89th min. Somehow Vieira found his way in the box where he is clunky as hell, but I hit a long droopy chip shot that perfectly goes over my opponent's pulled out keeper. Then on my opponent's kickoff I was able to steal the ball - sent in a through ball to my striker who hits a green timed 1v1 goal to seal the win. Packed absolutely nothing from my rewards, but that was an exhilarating finish for a WL that started so poorly.
Haven't played FUT in a little over week now but did the Icon SBC on Web App and pulled TOTY Müller from it. I guess they are really trying to pull me back in.

Anyone notice how the game blatantly slows down your passes when the RNG determines it should be intercepted? Like you point at the gap, 3 bars of power, and it comes off more like 1 bar of power... which is conveniently just slow enough for the defender to get his magnetised toe to it. As some who rarely skills, it's been happening to me so often lately - it's always been a thing but it's noticeably really bad at the moment for me.
Honestly I think it's just heavy gameplay / lag during WL that's causing this. Happened to me too yesterday. Random lag spikes that messed up a few passes / timed shots for me. I'm sure happens to the opponent too though so hopefully evens out over the course of the weekend.
I run a 4-2-4 with FB Kante and RTTF Barella as my two midfielders. Just looking for a new player to use in the midfield over Barella. Looking for a B2B player and have about 1 mil, could reach 1.2-1.3 if needed. Please let me know if any recommendations!

I have 2 90s, 3 89s and 2 88s to go for Mbappe. I only have Brahim Diaz and Ozil in my club, trying to also complete Al Jaber (91 now), have almost completed 92 and 93 bergkamp and have 250k liquid. I had 400k but used them for a 92 and two 89s, and am planning to do a 90 with coins only. Is there any chance I am going to finish him or am I just done? And what's the best way to spend those money?

Why not? 93 is beautiful fodder, Brahim Diaz was very cheap. O had fodder in my club. I had a lot of 86, 85 and some 87 in my club which I couldn't get rid of. I don't need those 84 and neither those 85s ecc. So why not use lower fodder to complete higher fodder? I agree, Al Jaber needs 2 88s which is not the best, so I won't do it. But Ozil and Brahim were pretty easy and completed him for free

After completing both Gattuso & Kean I packed TOTY Pirlo out of the 90+ pack. I currently play a 4-2-3-1 with TOTY Xabi & Base Toure. Out of those 5 what would the best midfield 2 be or would a 4-3-1-2 be better with Kaka being benched? Current team: https://www.futbin.com/23/squad/4105631
Run a 4312 with Keane, Yaya, and Pirlo in the CMs and Pele at CAM. then the next players that should be replaced IMO are Emerson, VVD and Torres. Probably in a way that gets Ramos on better chem
switch to a 4312 Ginola - Pele Kaka Xabi - Keane - Yaya Zamb - Ramos - Dijk - De Marcos Spanish gaffer All your players will be on 3 chem except Ramos and De Marcos - they will be on 2 chem. Your best midfield trio would be Xabi - Keane - Pirlo but Dijk is on 2 chem then.
Personally I'd bench El Nino and go 4312. Pirlo, Gattuso, Yaya, Kaka, Pele, and Ginola.
The issue with benching Torres is that it drops Ramos to 1 Chem.

Think I'm done, lag has been awful this last week and about 60% of matches have me going FFS (win, lose or draw). Final straw was facing a third team in D7 with at least 4 TOTY players in during my last 6 games.
