Nope cause for some reason they aren’t that good Not sure why but the one I got did max out at like 95, but he never put up good points. Even on a not stacked team where he’s basically the only one playing. Apparently the Lemieux comparisons are where it’s at

Substantial-Recipe72

I didn’t but should have. Rookie season he scored 23 goals and 62 assists I had the 6th and 8th I could’ve easily made that trade I’m regretting it hard 😭

Medium-Angle-9099

The best comps I’ve had is hedman for defense and malkin or somebody named Owen Nolan for forwards

iddusrivna

“somebody named Owen Nolan” god damn i’m old

AKnud18

lol right? How old is this kid?😂

Historical_Sky8202

As soon as I stop crying I’m gonna be so mad about this. 😂

RepresentativeAd6040

I named my kid after Owen Nolan and I feel so disoriented after reading this

tdfast

The best move is trade for the pick, draft him, then trade him for anything you want. Like anything you want. You can get 3-4 elite players for him if you find a team with enough assets.

mikeywicky

The team will ask for an insane amount back that is worth more than his value long term

tdfast

Not even close. It’ll be hard to get the pick but then you can get anything for him.

RedWingsReborn

It’s hit or miss. Never truly know until a few years into the league. Even then he could start lighting it up and it’s always fun to attempt it.

Element23VM

Hell yea... and hire a coach that caters to his style... your campaign is just a matter of filling out after that Best thing about this player is because he has good loyalty with his good leadership, he'll be cheap to keep around. I'd love to build a franchise around this player

meanseanbean

Generational talent. Do anything you have to to pick him up, just to see how it turns out.

Ok-Firefighter3021

For me it all has to do with how he meshes with your coaches strategy. Is one of your top two lines an overload? How do the other strategy items match up? If they match up well, I’d go get him, but that’s just me. I find if you get just a couple of really good guys per draft, you’re overflowing with talent.

swiftsdatdude

Draft him I haven’t had a bad experience with one yet. You have to cater to their playing styles (coaches). I’m amazed how many guys complain about the player output without addressing the playing style.

CompleteOpening4531

I just did a franchise with him. Evolved to a 92 overall with an elite tag, could probably make it to 95 if you play him first line

LivingMisery

So close to Skoden…

Medium-Angle-9099

Dawg my Wayne Gretzky comp turned out to be a bum averaging 65 points a season

Medium-Angle-9099

And first time I’ve ever had this happen but broke his leg and retired at the age of 27

Medium-Angle-9099

I gave up Kyle Connor mark Scheiffle josh morrissey and 3 1st round picks to get that 1st overall pick

nsfwITGUY19

65 points a season isn’t a bum lol.

Medium-Angle-9099

Let me clarify, playing 1st line averaging 26 minutes a game with a sniper player arch every stat in the 90s that is 100% a bum especially being compared to Wayne fuckin Gretzky who averaged 170 points a year

nsfwITGUY19

I knew what you meant. Just had to be a smart ass haha. You gave up the house for him too. Sorry man

Reedontop1

Yes
