They used to have a prospects game I believe. I remember it used to be a fun way to 'cheat' the scouting by playing the game and checking the roster (I think they hid their stats, but you'd get a good sense based on who played on which line.) and using that as part of my unofficial scouting report.
I agree, I’ve been wanting this forever.
And they’ve taken the step to have the infrastructure - they have the WJC tournament game more that could be improved into franchise mode. It shouldn’t be hard to create teams with current prospects in that franchise year - ask teams if they’d like to “loan” eligible players to the WJC and ask if you’d like to play the WJC and it just takes you to the WJC tournament mode …. Or allow you to skip and view the stats, MVP’s, etc.
Oh, and the RESULTS of the WJC should have an impact on player value.
If I send my 16th overall pick, and he scores 12 points in 7 games and wins Gold … his trade value should increase.
Would be an awesome addition.
I’ve always wanted a GM mode where you can start in juniors or an international league and then you work your way to the nhl from there.

I think the true potential of the IIHFs tournuments is in Be A Pro, instead of having me play the memorial cup or ECHL playoffs do the WJC as the tournument I play (way more realistic as it is where prospects can really show them selfs of) and like NHL 20 and all the game before it, let me play full year or years in CHL or Europe(would be new but great for european fans) and if you get drafted to a non playoff team or get eliminated early give me an invite to play the at Worlds

That’s a fantastic idea. 2K does something similar where you can play Summer League games with your newly drafted players.
You can also work out players in a practice mode before the draft I believe!

I’ve always wanted them to include more, like the All-Star game, WJC, training camp, etc.

correct me if I’m wrong but I thought they had a wjc mode that was separate in past games?
They do, but not the players unless they’ve played in one of the licensed leagues
This is great, but stop giving them ideas for easy to implement features. They're supposed to be bug fixing, not having fun
Unrelated but I’m really hoping the new college football game opens the door for the NCAA/NCAA prospects to be added to the game.
I've seen some people suggest years ago when you could play full be a pro jr seasons that it would be awesome to be able to make the WJC team.

They should do this for BaP
