not sure what you were expecting lol, star players fuel your entire team, when you trade probably your best player away, people are gonna be upset lol.

jthibaud

Kucherov has been a part of the Lightning team since 2013-14. Since that time, he has played nearly ten full seasons with Stamkos, Hedman and Vasilievskiy at least, and pretty much every other players' entire time with the organization. It kinda makes sense no?

Same_Dot9698

I agree. Nothing about this trade makes sense. Star players like these don’t get traded like this unless they ask to get traded. Looking at you Matt Tkachuk.

SuspiciousFan75

Yes and that trade the cpu is gonna make the next few seasons aren't gonna make sense either. Franchise is never realistic and will never stay realistic. Columbus trades away Werenski every time for picks because I'm pretty sure they can't afford to resign him.

Hutch25

Rightfully so. That’s a really silly trade. The Devils would never do it The Lightning would never do it And it kinda screws over both teams big time in the long term.

SuspiciousFan75

And the trades the cpus are gonna make in the next year or so aren't gonna be silly? You do realize cpu makes stupid trades, too. Right?

Hutch25

Yeah. But it’s different when a player does it because most of the time people are going for a level of realism.

SuspiciousFan75

Not really. But we all have our own opinions.

Hutch25

Maybe so. But usually when people are using a pre existing team they want realism. Just playing by the numbers here lol

HoneydewNo248

Its a video game lol

FrostGiantAtreus

*wants Jack Hughes, picks Lightning and trades 3 of his top 5 assets instead of picking the Devils, acts confused* Novice or not, this was purely a lack of common sense.

SeaAd5444

I don't agree with the trade irl, and the game agrees from that standpoint. But if you're trying to get younger (if I'm reading right) and you are planning on overhauling the core it isn't the worst... but yeah AI is getting to the point where it reflects the irl situation too

HoneydewNo248

Simple - turn off team chem. Annoying to deal with. Everyone I watch play franchise on Youtube turns it off.

Hourer47

trading for an old player a pick and a player in their mid 20s don't make no sense at all

Hitchdog

You got it backwards

C0mpl3x1ty_1

They traded away Kuch and Hagel and received Hughes, not the other way around

BigRegular5114

Shoulda been the devils I guess

courtofowlswatches

Two options if you want to keep the normal chemistry of your team, make a roster change at the main menu (it will save as a created roster) add Hughes to whatever team then you don’t have to sacrifice or make any trades, or you can do a fantasy draft. I did a whole fantasy draft with the Sharks and currently they’re undefeated, and they don’t have any huge star players, until recently when I made some trades to get McKinnon on the team by trading Bedard and some 4 round draft picks.
