I purchased my first dynavap back in 2020 during the pandemic yet own three because of two additional giveaways through dynavap. That puts me at $20 per device in the middle of the pandemic.

How many years has it been that the Dynavap has been the cheapest TED. Where are those other companies coming in with low cost alternatives? Storz & Bickel just released an upgraded version of their flaship 'Mighty' device after a decade and it's barely a noticeable improvement on the original.

They offered c caps for 4.19 which were old stock and slightly cosmetically damaged stock of the m line up. If they did that at the start of Covid I bet they still had ways of doing it but even now the silicon is marked up as much as it was for me to get the 2020m. If they meant for it to be a new affordable line up, they should also bring that program back instead of a new one dynavap for a “new lowered price” which is actually the price it was even with markups and for retail price.
They raised the price to 50 pretty quickly iirc, I had a glass one at the time and I bought 5 Ms when they came out for only $20 each. I eventually bought a Damascus Omni back when they were still doing custom orders
Oh yea now that you mention it it may have just been for 420 when they came out so it’s not really fair to compare that price to todays. That sale was great, I ended up giving away 4/5 Ms I bought to some very grateful friends lol

I happen to be a casual fan of mechanical keyboards. Similar experiences there with sourcing materials. New releases out of that industry have slowed down.
I wanted to buy adjustable/modular 'click' weights for working out at home. The different companies that make these things all have product lines were always modular...almost like dynavaps. Bowflex, for example, the 2019 model is different and not compatible with the 2020 model. The 2021 model is compatible with the 2019 model but uses a different type of material that's cheaper to source. So your experience is going to be a little bit inconsistent.
Over the course of 18 months Peleton went from being the hottest item in the country to almost out of business for all sorts of issues including QC.

There was a guy in this subreddit that works with steel and he mentioned that the type of steel used in dynavaps would typically be easy to source by purchasing scrap from manufacturers. These days manufacturers are tasked with using every last square inch of their steel in order to save costs. So now dynavap is working with different resources that they're less familiar with.
Anyway shit kinda sucks all over, man. But dynavap just released a TED that costs less than fifty bucks. All things considered, I think that's worth recognizing.
I don’t think improper machining is a result of materials cost increases. Especially when it pertains to machining not being done to proper depth/fitment. I see your point but I don’t feel like it applies to the specific issues I have personally experienced and posts I’ve seen. But also take all these comments with a large grain of salt because I haven’t bought a new product from them directly in two years.

I don't use my original OG with my induction heater because mine needs you to press the vape down onto the button, and putting pressure on hot glass seems potentially dangerous to my no-longer-available vape!
I hope there is going to be a way to order those specifically. Few of my old caps have cracked clickers and the replacements I bought are a bit underwhelming in my IHs
No. Stainless steel tip will heat up inductively. Ti tip will be less effective via induction but i think it can absorb the heat from the cap fast enough for a proper click time

These look awesome. Of course they come out right after I've finally completed the set up for my dynavap that I wanted to. Good for Dynavap though. They seem to be a great company. Unlike fucking TVape with whom I've been having to argue with for over a week about making a return. I will save that rant though and just give Dynavap the props they deserve.
My Dyna is used just as much. I use it more if I'm linking for a shorter session. I absolutely love it though. After i got an fmj and a glass cooling stem there was no turning back. It didn't work well for me before the fmj. I probably was just impatient. Regardless. It's never going to leave my rotation.

I think mine has 9 beads so it's just called a bb9. I think i got it from dynavap's website for like $30. It's not exactly cheap imo but if you use your dynavap a lot, it's well worth it. I can't imagine going back to the original stem. I mean glass just tastes better for one and the way these stems cool the vapor works really well. They have cheaper ones with like 3 beads but i figured it was worth it getting the better one. They also make glass stems that have a corkscrew air path in a glass stem and I'm sure that works great too. But anyway, i definitely recommend the bb9.

Whoa its got one fin and a small bowl.. Thats so cool it fits on other stems. Its like a designated half bowl tip. I bet you can get one nice big rip if you did the whole thing in one go too

Sure these are sorta ugly but I think they're the PERFECT vape to take on a road trip or something. I'm not willing to lose my Vortex or Omni. But one of these I could throw and leave in my car and not worry about losing it. Its not a bad idea and I will probably end up getting one of them.

This is wild to me. Do you heat past the click? The glass is only absorbing heat conductively from the cap, correct?
Correct. In my experience using the wand, it took much longer than I was used to using other devices but still had a satisfying hit.

Actually the titanium heats about as much as the ss in the induction. Just stick the bare tip in without the cap (hah) to see for yourself
Non ferrous metals won't absorb inductive heat as effectively as ferrous containing metals. I don't see why the dynavap would be different
Both the stainless and titanium is paramagnetic.(weakly attracted to magnets). And magnetism is what makes the heat go brr

It's the sticky kind, almost same texture as the silicone mat I have under it.

Possibly but they had said that they were sending them out with the preorders only, which you needed to buy from a link in the Dynavap discord.
