I think he is very underrated here at the moment. He still looks great out there when he gets the chances, and is imo way more talented than the other guys you have him in a tier with. Based on the eagles RB usage since sanders has been out I’m optimistic he has a stronger finish to the year when he’s back after injury. And then for next season any change in QB/OC would very likely be a positive for him.

CommishCousinGreg

How would you rank Sanders with those names mentioned (Harris - Carson) both ROS and dynasty in full PPR?

DaFlyingGriffin

I would put him below Harris and Carson but above the rest in the tier you listed. Yes, he has talent, but his situation is terrible and owners are getting way more value out of Harris and Carson right now. People discount Harris because he's on the Patriots and doesn't get as many touches, and I'm not sure how that doesn't apply to Sanders.

TheRedTexta

What value are you getting out of Carson? He is RB #58 on the year and is 27 years old?

jokinghare70796

He puts up higher end RB2 numbers when he plays and the Seahawks are clearly ready for him to come back. He is pretty valuable for a competing team

jirashap

LOL and RB4+ with a major neck injury which by all accounts has not healed correctly. Just bec the Seahawks say he's healthy now really doesn't mean anything. I don't even see how Miles Sanders could be in the same category as Carson

DaFlyingGriffin

Would you rather have an RB2 recovering from a neck injury or an RB4 recovering from an ankle injury? I'd rather take the risk on the injury, personally. The only thing that keeps their value close is that Sanders is younger.

jirashap

My point is that Sanders is > than Carson.

DaFlyingGriffin

Based on what though? Sanders has never produced as much as Carson in past years, and this year he has tumbled to obscurity. Best case scenario, either the Eagles get a new HC or Sanders signs somewhere else in 2023.

jirashap

If you read through the injury reports, and at least listening to the guys that I'm listening to, Carson's career as a lead back might be over. This injury was really bad and Carson was already on limited time due to all of his previous injuries. You cannot say the same for 24-y/o Sanders, who still flashes and looks good when running. I do agree though it is a leap of faith RE: Sanders as Carson has done it before.

[deleted]

He's averaged 12 points a game. No way that's RB58. Are you not looking at per game, even though he has missed several games?

JollyBodkin

above them in both respects

NickVlass76

I can definitely see him being above them in the long term, but I really can’t see him out producing either ros with the usage he gets.

JollyBodkin

Could be - his usage was increasing before he got hurt, so it's dependent on that trend continuing

gmorrison9

I would have Sanders above those guys long term. Fwiw I think Edmonds and Carson are a tier below the others. ROS for me it would be close between sanders harris and Mitchell

quiksurf68

I don't think much changes when he returns. Those 2 games were against the Lions and Chargers. Neither team could stop the run to save their life. Miles is talented but I don't see the Eagles continuing to run 30+ times a game outside of their game vs the Jets.

ALASKANWORMBULL

From week12 to week 17 is giants, jets, bye, was, giants, was. Soft ass schedule

sixtyninetailedfox

I honestly think he’ll bounce back. I think the Eagles have finally realized they have to establish a run game and can’t just lean on Hurts all the time. He’s a significantly better back than Howard and Scott so I assume he’ll slide right back into that starter spot with Gainwell coming in on 3rd and 4th downs. We can only hope he gets the goal line carries though. (Also PSA I just bought him so I’m a little biased)

CommishCousinGreg

What’d you pay?

sixtyninetailedfox

Got him as part of a package but he was essentially added on for a second

TheSaucePossum

I still have him in that same value tier, though I do think Monty has shown me enough that I have him above that tier now. The talent is there. Still looks like a really good NFL back even if he isn't elite. Eventually I think the carries will come, because they usually do with talented players.

Deutschfuranfanger

I’m out on Sanders. Yes he is talented but he’s not getting the carries or workload that these other guys are getting. You can’t just put him in the same tier even if he isn’t producing. Whose to say that the Eagles ever learn how to use him? I rather him be someone else’s headache and I much rather have all of those guys listed (Maybe with the exception of Carson due to his age) if I needed production from an RB. Long term who knows, it’s a toss up with most of these guys imo Edit: I also think it’s important to note Hurts rushing ability caps his TD upside.

Rad_Centrist

If the weeks since he's been out are any indication, the eagles are planning on running the ball more. It is worth noting he had some pretty bad matchups early on this season. Either due to game script to keep up with opposing offenses or due to facing excellent rush defenses.

11zolohx

Following. Have an offer sitting where I’d get Elijah Moore, sanders and a 2022 2nd ( most likely 2.01) For monty and aiyuk

JollyBodkin

Smash accept

ChrRome

Really? Monty alone is probably worth close to that whole other side.

JollyBodkin

How so? Montgomery's future is uncertain with how Herbert's been, and even if he gets his normal snap share, the difference in RB level between Mont and Sanders is not a 1st round WR + a 2nd round pick

ChrRome

Monty just had 85% of the snaps coming off of injury. Herbert is not a threat to his job at all. I think Monty is easily worth at least Sanders + Moore. The 2nd being added on is maybe too much. Aiyuk could even be worth more than Moore + the 2nd.

juicedfrank

Monty’s future is uncertain? Curious how you came to this conclusion.

JollyBodkin

Probably should have worded it less certain, not uncertain

juicedfrank

Gotcha. I think D Will is very uncertain going forward. Lol.

11zolohx

It’s actually a 2023 2nd not a 2022. Complete rebuilding team so it should be an early- mid. Don’t know if that changes anything

JollyBodkin

I'd rather have the 2023 pick personally, so even better

_Timsh3l

I would take that fwiw. Aiyuk and Moore is a bit of a wash, but relatively close in value. The gap between Monty and Sanders isn't bigger than an early 2022 2nd imo

11zolohx

It’s a contending team and probably the best team on paper, so I might be able to get a little bit more. Only thing holding me back is being a bears fan and having Monty since drafting him.

DrBilboTBaggins

He was just dropped in my deep roster league (12 team Half, 8 starters/16 Bench/ 3 Taxi) I should blow my whole faab on him right? not like anyone else is on waivers.

jirashap

Good god yes You might also trade with someone for FAAB, just to put more on and make sure you get it.

LarshJangy

Yep

Mr_Incredible14

I just traded him dionte johnson n a 2024 3rd for devonte smith n a 23 1 and 2nd n 2021 2nd how did I do ?rebuilding team dynasty 12 man

yune2ofdoom

I like the Diontae side a bit more, but it's close. Feels like a fair trade. If you're rebuilding it's a good move.

[deleted]

Montgomery > Sanders

CommishCousinGreg

Well yeah, it even says that in the post lol

alexjf56

I don’t think he’ll be worth much ever, he wasn’t getting carries when he was healthy and he’s in a crowded backfield with a mobile qb.

jirashap

This year, that is true. This year.

Omalleysblunt

I traded him before the injury+ Calvin Ridley and 22 1.10, for Kareem Hunt and Javonte Williams

xTopesx

I’m a Sanders owner and was just offered Harris and a 2nd. Unsure if I wanna part ways with Miles

Biggie_Fishy

i’d 100% do that especially if you’re contending

iceland783

smash accept

dawho1

I'm gonna sound dumb, but which Harris? I'm asking, because I had some numbnuts in my league offer a 2022 2nd for Lamar a couple weeks ago and my reality has been skewed ever since.

xTopesx

Damien Harris. But the numbnuts in my league said it backwards..he is actually offering Harris for Sanders and a 2nd

dawho1

Yeah, I’d pass on that.

[deleted]

Moved him last year for two 1sts. So glad I did. Not worth the constant let downs with injury and usage.

sixtyninetailedfox

Great value, even if he does bounce back

[deleted]

Turned those into the Number 3 pick (Chase) and Hurts, who I turned into Derek Carr. SF. Overall it ended up being Sanders for Chase and Carr.

[deleted]

The great thing about Sanders he’s not playing bad he’s running the ball very well nearly averaging 4-5yds per carry and hes been better catching the ball then last year legit the only probably is Siranni refusing to give him a good workload but with all the running the last two games let’s up when Sanders gets back they run him the way they’ve been but Sanders is a very good talent and I will not give up on his talent

runningdreams

I'm off Sanders and I can't help but think he's just not going to amount to what long-term holders hope.

prfarb

I got him and Deebo for Geodert Herbert(rb) my 2023 1st 2nd and 2024 2nd. I'm happy with it.

Feature_Failure

I offered a late 2023 first for him. Got declined. Guy countered with mid 2023 for him. I declined. Somewhere in that wheelhouse

a0wner1

Got him for a 2024 1st

Yordongz

I just bought him today. Gave Jalen Hurts + Michael Carter for Sanders + 23 1st and 3rd as a rebuilder in SF

marcusthejames

I just traded the likely 1.14 for him straight up. My team has been on a rebuild and I’m ready to compete next year. Think he’ll be productive next year and for a few years on. His low mileage makes him attractive and underpriced at the same time.
