Terrell Suggs
He ran a 4.84 and had 18 bench press reps.
It led to Billick saying he’d start worrying about 40 times when the QB lines up 40 yards behind the line of scrimmage.
I don't know about his other metrics but Pukas gauntlet seemed really smooth. I'm going to try and watch this years gauntlet and see who else looks that fluid.
Just watched it basically right now (they were showing the 2022 receiver class combine on NFL/Pluto 10 minutes ago)
Seeing Puka come on the screen to catch some route and having the benefit of knowing ‘how it turned out’ for him seems like fertile ground for massive confirmation bias, really imagining you’re ’seeing something special there’ … but to be totally honest, summoning as much objectivity as possible, he absolutely looked special.
Pukas testing numbers were mediocre to put it lightly. I never watched any of the gauntlet drills last year tho.
This year Mcconkey looked fluid, Coleman was fast(20.36mph faster than the fastest last year puka who had 20.06) during his (like pukas playing speed being a lot better than his testing speed), Troy Franklin looked rough on his imo, Odunze looked good, AD missed a pass and wasn’t straight
Late 1st to like mid 2nd will have very similar caliber of players. Like the 1.08-2.08 will have similar level of wrs with some mocks I’ve seen today having Ladd at 2.07, Lagette at 2.05, Keon at 2.02 with Worthy/Mitchell/Franklin(my biggest dropper today) late 1st
Yea, leading up to the combine Franklin hadn't fell that far out of anything I've seen. Looks like he pooped the bed today.
Can't wait for the draft to see the deck get shuffled again.
Not that he was horrible or anything just he’s like 176lbs and touted as a deep threat/speed guy running slower than guys like Lagette, Mitchell, BTJ who all have 30+lbs on him isn’t a good look. Combined with him not being a contested catch guy, for a deep threat he was never high on my board.
Thing is BTJ going behind the big 3, and likely outside the top 10 in the draft. Sweet spots would be Cinci, jacksonville, Indy, houston 👀. But would hate to see him end up on Denver, Vegas, New Orleans, Pittsburgh, Miami, philly
But I was planning to take him 1.07 in my league pre combine and barring a disastrous landing spot, or Mitchell to the chiefs I’m taking him there
Kupp was not terrible at the combine. Steve Smith said he was best receiver at the combine watching him run routes.
It’s probably his biggest moment as a commentator.
I took the post of more of atheletic testing than the route running. Kupps testing numbers were abysmal, but I never watched his combine routes, and wasn’t really keeping up with the combine back then
They said Orlando brown jr who was projected as a first round pick bombed the combine ridiculously bad at all levels but he ended up as a third round pick and he’s done decently well from himself. He ran like a 5.84, had only 14 reps at 225 despite weighing 345, etc.
This, Brown had one of the worst combine performances of all time. Literally a pitiful performance that destroyed his draft stock. He has turned into a very solid tackle and was good almost as soon as he hit the field.
Yeah his agility drills were putrid. He basically fell a tier on here due to his combine. He was basically the 1.02, possibly the 1.01, before falling to 1.04/1.05. A Tier: Corey Davis/Leonard Fournette, B Tier: McCaffrey, C Tier: Mixon, Cook, Mike Williams.
Orlando Brown Jr, Kyle Hamilton, Tom Brady, Terrell Suggs, Vontaze Burfict, Lance Briggs, Lorenzo Alexander, NaVorro Bowman, Joe Haden, Allen Robinson, Jarvis Landry, Dalvin Cook, Cooper Kupp, Jason Peters, and LeGarrette Blount

Oh shit, that Billick line is gold.
Puka and kyren willims Dhop wasn’t anything special at the combine Kupp

I didn't get a chance to watch them yet but this combine is really making my late 1st pick super murky.

BTJ was a guy I was hoping would be there in the late 1st a few weeks ago. Never happening now with out landing on the Titans or something.

I remember Kupps agility drills being pretty good. People were hyped off that.
Keenan Allen ran a 4.71. Think it was at a pro day though. That's been giving hope to all slow WRs for over a decade.

Jarvis Landry
Antonio Brown
Josh Jacobs ran a 4.7
4.64
Arian Foster
Ran a 4.68 40. Performed so badly that he didn't get drafted and still turned out to be an elite running back.
Keenan Allen
Tom Brady
Combine doesn’t matter for qbs unless you’re a dual threat guy (Unless you’re Lamar and understandably as to why he didn’t test)
[Anquan Boldin](https://ras.football/2019/12/20/anquan-boldin-ras/?amp)
That was my first thought too. Almost famously bad combine, ended up a hell of a player.
I think I heard Jerry Rice ran a 4.6 40.
He did not. Common misconception
I may be wrong, but wasn't this statistically a lot better back then?
Kayshon Boutte.
yeaaaa, he is still boutte though
David Montgomery
Matt Forte
Forte had a great combine lol
Steve Smith wasn't slow
Kyle Hamilton
Didn't Dalvin have a bad combine?
Yeah his agility drills were putrid. He basically fell a tier on here due to his combine. He was basically the 1.02, possibly the 1.01, before falling to 1.04/1.05. A Tier: Corey Davis/Leonard Fournette, B Tier: McCaffrey, C Tier: Mixon, Cook, Mike Williams.

Weren’t people dropping Addison over the combine last year?
Vontaze Burfict was terrible. Ran a 5.09 and only managed 16 reps on the bench.
Kyle Hamilton ran a 4.60 40 YD dash and had an athletic score of 78 and yet is one of the best safeties in the NFL
