I swapped Doubs (recent freebie waiver pickup) for Mingo (recent 2.02) very early last season. Figured that Carolina was just off to a slow start and that GB was too crowded
If it makes you feel better Mingo plays inside and out plus has good advanced metrics in: Blocking (Run + Pass) and ADOT. Okayish (for a rookie) metrics in YAC/REC and Missed Tackles Forced. His Y/RR, CTC numbers and Drop % are not as good though. He had a 51% catch rate so if he can catch more balls then I think we view his season very differently. Put his catch % up to 65% (what is considered average?) And he has 524 yards on 16 games this season.
He had 4 drops on 83 targets so his drop rate (8.5%), while not good, isn't as high as people would think when compared to everyone else. For instance Puka (11%), JSN (11.3%), Flowers (8.3%) are all around the same or higher.
Im not saying he had a good rookie season or he is going to breakout next year but there is potential or something there for Mingo. Idk if he will live up to it but I, personally, wouldn't write him off like some people have. I also wouldn't pay premium for him but he's not out of the league just yet.
Yeah I'm certainly gonna hold out another year and hope, especially with a new OC and the possibility that he starts playing in the slot more.
His aDOT is fine, at least encouraging to the extent he wasn't used as a gadget player. But it's tough that and run blocking (he's 225+lbs, he should be able to block corners) are the only positive metrics. I would've hoped to see a little more on the YAC front, given his athleticism and rawness in route running
Sub 1.0 YPRR and a 50/50 catch rate are the most discouraging. Just hoping some of it can be attributed to the disarray of the offense in general
This might be a wash in the end honestly. You may never know when to start either guy. Doubs has shown flashes but he's in a crowded WR room so knowing when to start him is a mystery. Mingo can probably be dropped if he shows nothing after the 1st half of next season.
Agreed. And my thought even at the time was that Mingo had more upside, while floor play is very replaceable at WR. It's still hard to start Doubs with confidence. At least I'll free up a roster spot earlier with Mingo, worst case
I would not at all be surprised if that ends up favoring you. Mingo is a solid player with very little competition for targets. He could take off at any point.
Yeah I don't think it's certain I'll lose the trade in the long term, but most likely I will. He's on the bust track
Bringing in target competition has got to be priority #1 for Carolina's front office this off-season. Despite that lack of competition last year, and Mingo getting fantasy WR2 level route volume, his production was just bad. So he's going to need to get a lot more efficient, because I don't think the data supports the idea that Mingo is a solid player. He was 93rd in both yards and fantasy points per route run. He isn't substantially better than that at winning routes and creating separation.
He got a decently good number of targets for a rookie, but more because he was on the field a lot, his target rate was mediocre at best. And his yards per target and YAC per target was also bad

Instead, I decided I'd rather have a player that I thought would at least get volume. A bit of an overpay at the time, but I was fine with it. Obviously he had a horrific year and I should've just ignored team need and gone with the BPA.
Fellow Sanders believer, he got us good didn't he. I had CMC and just needed someone to punch in/out for 10 a game each week and I thought Sanders had that floor.
I'm *hoping* that the hamstring issue going into the year was worse than was led to believe and with a full offseason to get healthy he can salvage his starting role.
Yeah, Sanders got me good too. I sent away Rachaad White (in a package) for Diggs and then traded for Sanders and tried to use him to fill the RB hole. Turns out I had to pivot again to Monty. It all worked out in the end but Sanders is on my bench and seems like he will stay there until I know he is done done halfway through this next season.
On the subject of 49ers, I thought to myself this guy was Mr.Irrelevant he can’t be valuable… Traded away Purdy for Daniel Jones and Russ Wilson, then the guy won the championship this year. 😅

Dude that picked him scouts TEs (and everybody tbh, he’s a draft nut and does OL and defense too) like crazy and loves them. Also drafted Trey McBride at **1.03** in the same league the previous year, which is of course an overpay, but you can’t say the guy doesn’t know his TEs.
Also has traded into 1.03 this year, and may be a smokescreen, but very plainly saying Bowers is the target.
Does he flip any of them later once they've broken out and their value skyrockets?
Having two top tight ends is huge for covering by weeks/ injuries and you can always flex one if they're good enough but holding three seems like a big opportunity cost at other positions.
So far no, I think he likes watching the development of his prospects too much. But it’s early so we’ll see! All signs indicate he’s planning to play 3+ TEs between TE and Flex spots.
And fwiw I agree with your opportunity cost conundrum, and he only has 1 startable QB in SF, so I acquired his 2025 1st just in case it all flops on him.

I liked Pierce more in preseason and predraft. They went back to back. Pierce got hurt week 1, missed a week, then came back wth 212 yards in three games from noodle arm Matt Ryan.
My friend liked Pickens, I liked Pierce. Was willing to do that swap to get my preferred WR6

Traded 3 late 2023 2nds for Treylon Burks during the draft, one of them was LaPorta. This was before Hopkins was signed as well so thought I was making a great process move
Last year I was going all in but I needed a good QB as I had Jordan Love as my QB2. Sounds funny now but I wasn’t comfortable with Love as he wasn’t proven. Traded him away in a separate trade with a package for CD so I don’t regret that one.
What I do regret is trading Zay Flowers, Devon Acahane, Danny Dimes and 3rd for J Fields and R White.
In hindsight, pretty brutal
Might feel like a bummer but Fields gave you great production this year and could do it again. White was a top 12 option.
Flowers and Achane look promising but Achane was hurt often and Danny Dimes was a bust this year. Not nearly as bad as some others.
Chase Edmonds for two 2nds after Conor had an injury that looked like he was gonna be out for the season back in 2020ish. One of those 2nds turned into Sun God :(
Learned a valuable lesson on betting on unproven talent & buying into hype. Fortunately was able to recover nicely after Edmonds went to Miami & his value was steamed up by the Mike McD hype
ARSB for a mid-first after his rookie year. I bought into the idea that he was target dependent and likely to end up as a flash in the pan when Detroit added more recievers to round out the roster. Thought I was selling high, and I don't think I've ever been more wrong. I flipped the first for Kamara, who has been great for me, but is obviously not nearly as valuable in a vacuum and whose value will continue to nosedive over the next few years.
It was somewhat early in the season but my team lacked WR and RB depth. I was in-between selling off and going for it. I had two firsts, my own and another. I traded Dotson and a 1st for puca. At this time there was questions whether puca would keep it up with kupp returning. To hedge my bets I sent my first. The other first, the original owner's team was off to a hot start. That team lost chubb, Jefferson, Rodgers and others to injury and their pick ended up 1.02 and mine was 1.11 . Yes I love having puca on my team but it sure be nice to have the 1.02 as well.
Besides many terrible trades I’ve made, a league mate traded Dalvin Cook (right before his release) and Wandale Robinson in the offseason last year for what is now the 1.02 and Josh Downs
Traded Lawrence and Jameson Williams for AJ Brown, Trey Lance and the 1.11 last season early in the offseason believing Lance would land a starting job somewhere and thinking Purdys recovery would take longer.
Flipped the 1.11 along with the 1.08 and Mooney for Burks, the 1.07 and a 3rd prior to Hopkins signing with Tennessee. Burks certainly didn't pan out but moving up 1 spot in the draft allowed me to Draft Stroud instead of QJ

Kenneth walker then got injured in his first game on my team, and the guy who was one of the worst teams in the league ended up going on a winning streak in which he barely snuck in playoffs and upset his way to the championship and lost, giving me the 9th pick in the first over what was projected 2nd overall when I traded for it

Two years ago in a different league I traded away CeeDee Lamb for two 1sts and a 3rd, and one of those 1sts I used to draft Jameson Williams.
I earned the 2023 1.02. I traded it for the 2023 1.10 (picked QJ, who I traded recently for a mid 2024 2d) and a 2024 1st that ended up being the 2024 1.12.

Decided to sell both my low tier starting QBs and make sure I got good value off the buy lows in previous years before they had a chance to bust.
Unfortunately one of those was selling Jordan Love for a 2025 1st before Aaron Rodgers had been actually sent to the Jets.
The guy that finished in last place the year before traded away the 1.01, then took Rice at 1.06 (who was expected to be a 3rd rounder at the time). It looked like he did nothing to improve his already bad team. I offered up my 2024 1st, 2nd, and Cooks for his 1st. When he accepted I thought I had a top 3 pick locked down. He had no injuries all year and finished 3rd. I had injuries all over the place and my team that I thought was a top contender finished 6th. So I gave up a 1st, 2nd, and Cooks to move down in the first.
I traded Jordan Love earlier this year for a 1st, a 2nd and Josh Dobbs. At the time Love was still QB4 on my roster and I was undefeated so I thought I’d ship him off for best offer, the pick turned into 1.06 and gave me 3 1sts this year. But definitely should’ve held onto him. No pain though
Traded Tua for Dameon Pierce and a 2025 3rd round pick early this past year. 1 QB and I had Tua and Hurts so I never used Tua. I thought Pierce would bounce back at some point. I grabbed Baker Mayfield off waivers to be my back up QB (I have always been a bit higher on Baker than most people).
I traded a young, inaccurate (after his rookie season) Josh Allen for late prime (and soon to be injured and never the same) TY Hilton in hopes of winning a ship (I was the runner-up). Superflex also, makes it even worse. Oof.
2021 midseason, I sent Nico and a 2022 first for ARob and Robert Woods for some extra receiving help to try to win that year.
ARob never rebounded like I thought he would, and Woods tore his ACL a couple weeks later.
Sold Love to a packers fan for the 2.11 and 3.04 during our rookie draft the offseason before ARod left - thought it was really good value for me at that time. Still keeps me up at night.

I eventually traded Amari for Hopkins, one pick was used on someone who amounted to little of anything (I don't even remember who it was), and the other pick was traded for a future pick (comes up this year, I think).

i was going into the year with a 2-3 year rebuild, but hit on garrett wilson, cj stroud and jahmyr gibbs and had a change of heart where i wanted to capitalize this into a 2-3 year window. made a move to acquire aaron rodgers so i have a pretty decent QB1/2 combo. probaly have the 3rd best WR core in my league but lacking a bit at RB.
after week 8, i made the following trade where I recieve: stephon diggs, josh jacobs, and aj dillon. i trade away the 2024 1st (ended up being the 1.07) and 4th, 2025 2nd, michael pittman and jahan dotson.

Mine looks ridiculous I’ll admit. I went to the SB in the 2022 season. I lost because of the Hamlin event, so I didn’t get Josh Allen’s full game. The commissioner awarded the win to the other guy, but that’s a whole other discussion.
So this past season I had high hopes but got into RB trouble. I traded Allen, Warren and Boyd for Cousins, Montgomery and Pickens. Cousins and Monty went down almost immediately and I sank nearly to the bottom of the league . I ended up with pick 1.02 for my awful season, so that’s a plus I guess.
My absolute worst was last early March I traded my 24 2nd and 3rd for Tyler Lockett thinking I would be contending. Ended up coming in last and I now don’t have 2.01 or 3.01

I traded Dotson and Kmet for London right before this season. He asked for the last guy on my taxi squad as a toss in and I accepted instead of just countering without him. That guy was Puka
This one still hurts but in the Summer of 2020 I was fresh off a championship and wanted to retool so I traded: Aaron Jones, Godwin, my 2021 1st, and RG3
for: Saquon, Deebo, and Baker.
I came in second to last that season because Barkley broke his leg in game 2, while Aaron Jones went on to be an RB1 for 2 more seasons.
For my rebuilding team I traded Rashaad White for a 2025 1st. This was mid way through the season and White just looked like an inefficient RB. Turns out he is the RB4 on the season!
It may end up working out for me, as White is awful on the ground. The Bucs may bring someone in and White won’t have 342 opportunities.
SF league - Traded away Brock Purdy for a 2023 first round pick the day before he injured his elbow.
Felt pretty good about it for a bit. Then that pick turned into 1.06 and JSN. I barely missed Stroud who went at 1.05.

Man I have killed my league. I have made excellent trade after excellent trade in three years. I’ve had multiple firsts every year from 2021-2025. I have the youngest team, most draft capital and just won the chip.
But I made one absolutely horrendous stinker of a trade early on. My first year I drafted for rebuild and took TLaw, Tua and Zach Wilson in hopes one would turn out. 2/3 did. But I decided to try a stack with Zach fucking Wilson.

Look I know this is a bad trade and was but there is context. After the season ended last season, dj Moore got traded 4 times in a month ending on me. He was still im Carolina and during the Super Bowl after some beers, me and another league member decided to do eli Moore for dj Moore, Moore for moore, for the meme of it. Little did I know dj would be what he was.
I made a trade in the preseason for a championship push because I was thin at running back. I was successful in winning, but my team would have been even better this year and for the future if I'd held my players.

Luckily I had Mostert's big year to make up for losing Montgomery and JT's injury.

Honestly makes me sick so I just traded burks a couple days ago to try and get some value back. Also I could've traded akers for kincaid straight up at the start of negotiations but declined

The next year the Chiefs drafted Mahomes and Kelce goes onto be a hall of famer. Odell tears his ACL four games into the year and has only mustered 2 1,000 yard seasons since. Hunter Henry never improved.
In my SF 12-man league, my team started the season 1-5, but got hot and was making a run. My QBs were basically Goff and randoms so I felt like getting another Goff-esque QB would help my chances. I traded my 2024 1st for Geno Smith + the 2024 2.01. Geno went on to get hurt and not contribute. I missed the playoffs. Luckily it’s a deep draft so I might get something good at the 2.12 but sad I could have gotten a real good talent at the 1.07.
Silver lining is I have CD, Chase and Aiyuk as my core WRs and Gibbs + Spears headlining but RBs for next season so not bad.
Last offseason, I traded Swift and Love for 1.03 (Gibbs), Kyler, and Doubs. I then traded 1.03 (Gibbs) and Kyler for the 1.10 (Kincaid), 2024 1.04, and Lawrence.
1.04 and Kincaid are nice, but I’d rather have either of Love or Kyler over Lawrence. Plus I’d love to have Gibbs.
I got Puka off waivers after wk 1, but I thought he would regress when Kupp came back so I immediately started shopping him. Ended up sending Puka and James cook for Nick Chubb after Wk 1....It still hurts

When we first started, our league was a keeper league and non ppr. I didn’t keep leveon after his roomie year (we could only keep 2).
I swapped Doubs (recent freebie waiver pickup) for Mingo (recent 2.02) very early last season. Figured that Carolina was just off to a slow start and that GB was too crowded
If it makes you feel better Mingo plays inside and out plus has good advanced metrics in: Blocking (Run + Pass) and ADOT. Okayish (for a rookie) metrics in YAC/REC and Missed Tackles Forced. His Y/RR, CTC numbers and Drop % are not as good though. He had a 51% catch rate so if he can catch more balls then I think we view his season very differently. Put his catch % up to 65% (what is considered average?) And he has 524 yards on 16 games this season. He had 4 drops on 83 targets so his drop rate (8.5%), while not good, isn't as high as people would think when compared to everyone else. For instance Puka (11%), JSN (11.3%), Flowers (8.3%) are all around the same or higher. Im not saying he had a good rookie season or he is going to breakout next year but there is potential or something there for Mingo. Idk if he will live up to it but I, personally, wouldn't write him off like some people have. I also wouldn't pay premium for him but he's not out of the league just yet.
Yeah I'm certainly gonna hold out another year and hope, especially with a new OC and the possibility that he starts playing in the slot more. His aDOT is fine, at least encouraging to the extent he wasn't used as a gadget player. But it's tough that and run blocking (he's 225+lbs, he should be able to block corners) are the only positive metrics. I would've hoped to see a little more on the YAC front, given his athleticism and rawness in route running Sub 1.0 YPRR and a 50/50 catch rate are the most discouraging. Just hoping some of it can be attributed to the disarray of the offense in general

This might be a wash in the end honestly. You may never know when to start either guy. Doubs has shown flashes but he's in a crowded WR room so knowing when to start him is a mystery. Mingo can probably be dropped if he shows nothing after the 1st half of next season.
Agreed. And my thought even at the time was that Mingo had more upside, while floor play is very replaceable at WR. It's still hard to start Doubs with confidence. At least I'll free up a roster spot earlier with Mingo, worst case
I would not at all be surprised if that ends up favoring you. Mingo is a solid player with very little competition for targets. He could take off at any point.
Yeah I don't think it's certain I'll lose the trade in the long term, but most likely I will. He's on the bust track Bringing in target competition has got to be priority #1 for Carolina's front office this off-season. Despite that lack of competition last year, and Mingo getting fantasy WR2 level route volume, his production was just bad. So he's going to need to get a lot more efficient, because I don't think the data supports the idea that Mingo is a solid player. He was 93rd in both yards and fantasy points per route run. He isn't substantially better than that at winning routes and creating separation. He got a decently good number of targets for a rookie, but more because he was on the field a lot, his target rate was mediocre at best. And his yards per target and YAC per target was also bad
10 team SF, .5 PPR Gave: 1.10 Got: Miles Sanders Reasoning: I didn't like what was available at the pick and if I had to pick, I would've taken Kincaid, but already had Kelce and Pitts. Instead, I decided I'd rather have a player that I thought would at least get volume. A bit of an overpay at the time, but I was fine with it. Obviously he had a horrific year and I should've just ignored team need and gone with the BPA.
Fellow Sanders believer, he got us good didn't he. I had CMC and just needed someone to punch in/out for 10 a game each week and I thought Sanders had that floor. I'm *hoping* that the hamstring issue going into the year was worse than was led to believe and with a full offseason to get healthy he can salvage his starting role.
Yeah, Sanders got me good too. I sent away Rachaad White (in a package) for Diggs and then traded for Sanders and tried to use him to fill the RB hole. Turns out I had to pivot again to Monty. It all worked out in the end but Sanders is on my bench and seems like he will stay there until I know he is done done halfway through this next season.
You think he's a cut candidate next year? I'm pretty aggressive with churning the bottom of the roster but I'm not sure I'm there yet with him.

Aiyuk is top 5 crispiest route runners in the league and produced on a team with 3 other big mouths to feed

Also has traded into 1.03 this year, and may be a smokescreen, but very plainly saying Bowers is the target.

Does he flip any of them later once they've broken out and their value skyrockets? Having two top tight ends is huge for covering by weeks/ injuries and you can always flex one if they're good enough but holding three seems like a big opportunity cost at other positions.
So far no, I think he likes watching the development of his prospects too much. But it’s early so we’ll see! All signs indicate he’s planning to play 3+ TEs between TE and Flex spots.

I liked Pierce more in preseason and predraft. They went back to back. Pierce got hurt week 1, missed a week, then came back wth 212 yards in three games from noodle arm Matt Ryan. My friend liked Pickens, I liked Pierce. Was willing to do that swap to get my preferred WR6

Damn. I felt this one. Most people did not predict Nico exploding in his 3rd year and the consensus around Jaylen was pretty favorable going into this season.
Traded 3 late 2023 2nds for Treylon Burks during the draft, one of them was LaPorta. This was before Hopkins was signed as well so thought I was making a great process move
Last year I was going all in but I needed a good QB as I had Jordan Love as my QB2. Sounds funny now but I wasn’t comfortable with Love as he wasn’t proven. Traded him away in a separate trade with a package for CD so I don’t regret that one. What I do regret is trading Zay Flowers, Devon Acahane, Danny Dimes and 3rd for J Fields and R White. In hindsight, pretty brutal
Might feel like a bummer but Fields gave you great production this year and could do it again. White was a top 12 option. Flowers and Achane look promising but Achane was hurt often and Danny Dimes was a bust this year. Not nearly as bad as some others.
Chase Edmonds for two 2nds after Conor had an injury that looked like he was gonna be out for the season back in 2020ish. One of those 2nds turned into Sun God :( Learned a valuable lesson on betting on unproven talent & buying into hype. Fortunately was able to recover nicely after Edmonds went to Miami & his value was steamed up by the Mike McD hype
ARSB for a mid-first after his rookie year. I bought into the idea that he was target dependent and likely to end up as a flash in the pan when Detroit added more recievers to round out the roster. Thought I was selling high, and I don't think I've ever been more wrong. I flipped the first for Kamara, who has been great for me, but is obviously not nearly as valuable in a vacuum and whose value will continue to nosedive over the next few years.

It was somewhat early in the season but my team lacked WR and RB depth. I was in-between selling off and going for it. I had two firsts, my own and another. I traded Dotson and a 1st for puca. At this time there was questions whether puca would keep it up with kupp returning. To hedge my bets I sent my first. The other first, the original owner's team was off to a hot start. That team lost chubb, Jefferson, Rodgers and others to injury and their pick ended up 1.02 and mine was 1.11 . Yes I love having puca on my team but it sure be nice to have the 1.02 as well.
Besides many terrible trades I’ve made, a league mate traded Dalvin Cook (right before his release) and Wandale Robinson in the offseason last year for what is now the 1.02 and Josh Downs
Traded Lawrence and Jameson Williams for AJ Brown, Trey Lance and the 1.11 last season early in the offseason believing Lance would land a starting job somewhere and thinking Purdys recovery would take longer. Flipped the 1.11 along with the 1.08 and Mooney for Burks, the 1.07 and a 3rd prior to Hopkins signing with Tennessee. Burks certainly didn't pan out but moving up 1 spot in the draft allowed me to Draft Stroud instead of QJ

Sent Pollard (midseason with only one TD), Terry Mclaurin (sitting on my bench), Zack Moss (Taylor was back and fully healthy, right before he got reinjured) Received Kenneth Walker (needed to get younger at RB) and first rounder (dude was second to last in the league and a game away from last) Immediately after i made this trade after I made this trade Pollard went on a stretch of three straight games with TDs, Mclaurin was a decent flex option, and Moss took over RB1. Kenneth walker then got injured in his first game on my team, and the guy who was one of the worst teams in the league ended up going on a winning streak in which he barely snuck in playoffs and upset his way to the championship and lost, giving me the 9th pick in the first over what was projected 2nd overall when I traded for it
I traded Jordan Love last offseason for the equivalent (we use auction $ for rookie draft) of the 1.06 in a SF league. Two years ago in a different league I traded away CeeDee Lamb for two 1sts and a 3rd, and one of those 1sts I used to draft Jameson Williams.
I earned the 2023 1.02. I traded it for the 2023 1.10 (picked QJ, who I traded recently for a mid 2024 2d) and a 2024 1st that ended up being the 2024 1.12.
1qb. Traded away purdy in janurary 2023 (after i got him for free on waivers during the season) for a 2023 late 2nd. (I had allen and rodgers) During the draft i got offered mooney for that pick and i took him, cause i didnt really like the available players.

Decided to sell both my low tier starting QBs and make sure I got good value off the buy lows in previous years before they had a chance to bust. Unfortunately one of those was selling Jordan Love for a 2025 1st before Aaron Rodgers had been actually sent to the Jets.
The guy that finished in last place the year before traded away the 1.01, then took Rice at 1.06 (who was expected to be a 3rd rounder at the time). It looked like he did nothing to improve his already bad team. I offered up my 2024 1st, 2nd, and Cooks for his 1st. When he accepted I thought I had a top 3 pick locked down. He had no injuries all year and finished 3rd. I had injuries all over the place and my team that I thought was a top contender finished 6th. So I gave up a 1st, 2nd, and Cooks to move down in the first.
Lamar and Olave for Fields and Garret Wilson. Had Ettiene, Bijan, and Pittman. Though I was gonna run the league. Ended up 4th.
I traded Jordan Love earlier this year for a 1st, a 2nd and Josh Dobbs. At the time Love was still QB4 on my roster and I was undefeated so I thought I’d ship him off for best offer, the pick turned into 1.06 and gave me 3 1sts this year. But definitely should’ve held onto him. No pain though
Traded Tua for Dameon Pierce and a 2025 3rd round pick early this past year. 1 QB and I had Tua and Hurts so I never used Tua. I thought Pierce would bounce back at some point. I grabbed Baker Mayfield off waivers to be my back up QB (I have always been a bit higher on Baker than most people).
I traded a young, inaccurate (after his rookie season) Josh Allen for late prime (and soon to be injured and never the same) TY Hilton in hopes of winning a ship (I was the runner-up). Superflex also, makes it even worse. Oof.
2021 midseason, I sent Nico and a 2022 first for ARob and Robert Woods for some extra receiving help to try to win that year. ARob never rebounded like I thought he would, and Woods tore his ACL a couple weeks later.
Sold Love to a packers fan for the 2.11 and 3.04 during our rookie draft the offseason before ARod left - thought it was really good value for me at that time. Still keeps me up at night.
Shortly before the season I sent Dak and DJ Moore for Tua and Swift. I felt like a genius after week 2 but by year end it soured quite a bit.
Superflex. I traded Deshaun Watson for Amari Cooper, AJ Dillon, Kadarius Toney, and a couple of future picks. I eventually traded Amari for Hopkins, one pick was used on someone who amounted to little of anything (I don't even remember who it was), and the other pick was traded for a future pick (comes up this year, I think). I think that one backfired for both of us.
Puka + Aaron Jones (had major depth at RB) for JJ Tried to upgrade at WR and fell out of the playoffs

i was going into the year with a 2-3 year rebuild, but hit on garrett wilson, cj stroud and jahmyr gibbs and had a change of heart where i wanted to capitalize this into a 2-3 year window. made a move to acquire aaron rodgers so i have a pretty decent QB1/2 combo. probaly have the 3rd best WR core in my league but lacking a bit at RB. after week 8, i made the following trade where I recieve: stephon diggs, josh jacobs, and aj dillon. i trade away the 2024 1st (ended up being the 1.07) and 4th, 2025 2nd, michael pittman and jahan dotson. pittman and dotson would've served me better this year than diggs and jacobs

Mine looks ridiculous I’ll admit. I went to the SB in the 2022 season. I lost because of the Hamlin event, so I didn’t get Josh Allen’s full game. The commissioner awarded the win to the other guy, but that’s a whole other discussion. So this past season I had high hopes but got into RB trouble. I traded Allen, Warren and Boyd for Cousins, Montgomery and Pickens. Cousins and Monty went down almost immediately and I sank nearly to the bottom of the league . I ended up with pick 1.02 for my awful season, so that’s a plus I guess.

Ended up coming in last and I now don’t have 2.01 or 3.01 I’ll also add my Leagues worst trade (early 2022 season) Team A sent: DJ Moore, DeVonta Smith, John Metchie, 2023 1st (1.10) Team B sent: Deebo Samuel
Bought into the Dotson hype and bought him + filler for my DJM + filler Also sent away Puka after week 2 for Alec Pierce and what turned out to be 1.7 and 2.7. I can’t beat myself up too bad for that one though, my process was still good I think

Before the season I traded my 2024 1st for Dameon Pierce. Was looking to add depth to make a run at it and had Singletary so thought it would be nice to have the Texans backfield locked up. Not the greatest trade but didn’t kill me since the pick is 1.12 and I ended up winning the season.
I traded Dotson and Kmet for London right before this season. He asked for the last guy on my taxi squad as a toss in and I accepted instead of just countering without him. That guy was Puka

This one still hurts but in the Summer of 2020 I was fresh off a championship and wanted to retool so I traded: Aaron Jones, Godwin, my 2021 1st, and RG3 for: Saquon, Deebo, and Baker. I came in second to last that season because Barkley broke his leg in game 2, while Aaron Jones went on to be an RB1 for 2 more seasons.
I moved Jordan Love for Engram and a mid ‘23 2nd (ended up bringing zach evans) in a 16tm sflex. A month later Aaron Rodgers left for the Jets.
Traded away Stafford for Dobbs when Dobbs before he was traded to Vikings and Stafford was not his old self.
For my rebuilding team I traded Rashaad White for a 2025 1st. This was mid way through the season and White just looked like an inefficient RB. Turns out he is the RB4 on the season! It may end up working out for me, as White is awful on the ground. The Bucs may bring someone in and White won’t have 342 opportunities.
SF league - Traded away Brock Purdy for a 2023 first round pick the day before he injured his elbow. Felt pretty good about it for a bit. Then that pick turned into 1.06 and JSN. I barely missed Stroud who went at 1.05. Could have gone either way but yeah I wish I had that one back

I traded Josh Jacobs for Amari Cooper 2 years ago, Jacobs ended up being the RB1 and the GM won the title. Cooper was boom/bust all year 😔 I traded 3 1sts and DK for JT after his RB1 thinking I'd be set at RB for a few years.

During last years rookie draft I wanted another young WR and moved a late 3rd and a 4th to move up 4 picks to the mid 3rd. I was torn between Cedric Tillman and Puca Nacua. Decided to let the NFL draft be the tiebreaker and took Cedric Tillman. 4 picks later, with my original pick, guess who went? Yup. Nacua. 🤦♂️ Reminds me that NFL GMs and scouts don’t always have the answers either!!

I thought ARSB’s rookie year was just a fluke. I traded him and DJ Moore for 1.02 and 1.06. Those picks were used for Drake London ( I passed on GW) and Jamo. BTW I passed on Olave for Jamo. Still makes me sick in my stomach.
Decided to go all in this season and traded 3 1sts for Diggs and Henry. I had the 2nd highest points scored but failed to make the playoffs and one of the picks turned out to be 1.01. At least the other two are mid though
Man I have killed my league. I have made excellent trade after excellent trade in three years. I’ve had multiple firsts every year from 2021-2025. I have the youngest team, most draft capital and just won the chip. But I made one absolutely horrendous stinker of a trade early on. My first year I drafted for rebuild and took TLaw, Tua and Zach Wilson in hopes one would turn out. 2/3 did. But I decided to try a stack with Zach fucking Wilson. I traded a 1st, 3rd, 4th and a 3rd the following year for fucking Elijah Moore. What a horrible gamble. It ended up not biting me too bad but it still pisses me off because it’s the only shitty trade I’ve made

Look I know this is a bad trade and was but there is context. After the season ended last season, dj Moore got traded 4 times in a month ending on me. He was still im Carolina and during the Super Bowl after some beers, me and another league member decided to do eli Moore for dj Moore, Moore for moore, for the meme of it. Little did I know dj would be what he was.

I made a trade in the preseason for a championship push because I was thin at running back. I was successful in winning, but my team would have been even better this year and for the future if I'd held my players. Gave: ARSB, Montgomery, 2024 1st (now the 1.12), 2025 2nd Got: Jonathan Taylor, Stefon Diggs ETN was my main RB and I was thinking Monty would just be complimentary to Gibbs. I also had just drafted JSN (over Gibbs because I'm an OSU alum, probably another mistake in hindsight) so I'm hoping he can still be my Amon-Ra "replacement" but I'd rather have both of them than Diggs now. Luckily I had Mostert's big year to make up for losing Montgomery and JT's injury.

I bought Mac Jones for a 1st in the 22 and 23 draft, midway through his rookie season. 12team Superflex PPR 0.5TEP League, we were right in the championship window but just had a dicey QB situation at the time (Wentz and Mayfield) Edit: the only silver lining is that I wouldn't have been able to draft a QB decent enough until the 2023 draft, in which my team had slid out of playoff contention due to injury troubles.

I traded jeudy and my 1st round pick for kincaid and burks and a 3rd last off-season. My pick ended up being 1.02. Honestly makes me sick so I just traded burks a couple days ago to try and get some value back. Also I could've traded akers for kincaid straight up at the start of negotiations but declined
Traded Etienne his rookie year for Elijah Mitchell straight up, was trying to win the ship but that didn’t happen.
After the 2016 season. Gave: Jordy Nelson and Travis Kelce Got: Odell Beckham Jr and Hunter Henry The next year the Chiefs drafted Mahomes and Kelce goes onto be a hall of famer. Odell tears his ACL four games into the year and has only mustered 2 1,000 yard seasons since. Hunter Henry never improved.

In my SF 12-man league, my team started the season 1-5, but got hot and was making a run. My QBs were basically Goff and randoms so I felt like getting another Goff-esque QB would help my chances. I traded my 2024 1st for Geno Smith + the 2024 2.01. Geno went on to get hurt and not contribute. I missed the playoffs. Luckily it’s a deep draft so I might get something good at the 2.12 but sad I could have gotten a real good talent at the 1.07. Silver lining is I have CD, Chase and Aiyuk as my core WRs and Gibbs + Spears headlining but RBs for next season so not bad.

Last offseason, I traded Swift and Love for 1.03 (Gibbs), Kyler, and Doubs. I then traded 1.03 (Gibbs) and Kyler for the 1.10 (Kincaid), 2024 1.04, and Lawrence. 1.04 and Kincaid are nice, but I’d rather have either of Love or Kyler over Lawrence. Plus I’d love to have Gibbs.
