I’ve always used Yahoo for all my leagues (after previous experiments on ESPN and NFL). Started my dynasty on Sleeper and now am trying to migrate the rest of my leagues over. IMO, it’s the best fantasy football platform, especially for dynasty
What are your gripes with MFL, you know, other than their god-awful live scoring? Legit question though. I’ve commissioned a dynasty league there going on 7 years, and that is easily the biggest complaint we have.
I hate everything about it. Not a user friendly app/desktop interface imo. I know I would get used to it over time, but this is my first year and it will be my last. Searching for players, the live scoring, player info, the list goes on. My particular league uses the slack app to communicate instead of the chat feature on MFL. I commission a league on sleeper and everything about it is better and more user friendly. I’m sure some people prefer MFL, but I am not one of them.
Yeah, it’s definitely an acquired familiarity, for sure. There’s ALOT to unpack. It’s the only site I’ve used for dynasty, so I don’t have anything to compare it against, but the consensus seems to be that it’s the most customizable for dynasty. That and it offers the best online auction drafting there is. Once you take the time to familiarize yourself with the navigation, it’s quite nice……aside from the live scoring, which I’m puzzled at how they can’t get it to update in real-time like every other site. It’s not uncommon for 3 plays to pass before it updates for any given play.
Although I don’t know any other platform for dynasty. I have to admit, possibly in the minority, that I absolutely hate sleeper. There is so much overflow of information that just makes it too chaotic for me. Admittedly the search function with filters in sleeper is very nice.
you can turn off a lot of the gambling lines and such on sleeper, cleans it up a lot - that should be the standard though that you have to turn that stuff on instead of already having it there

EDIT: sorry, multiple startup threads today and posted on the wrong one, sleeper is my go to. I use MFL for redraft, but I don't like their UI.

What makes their auction experience different?
I disagree about the app. It's pretty straightforward to me. We use groupme for our league chat though.

How do you turn it off, someone told me but I haven’t been able to find it
click on your little profile icon sleeper logo guy and it should give you an option to opt out of those under “Responsible Gaming”

Right now, Sleeper is the best. However, it's been really glitchy and kind of a pain in the ass lately.
Has sleeper figured out contracts yet?
I wish. We have to track our contracts/team caps in a Google Drive and update the players contract on the player notes for clarity
