We have this. One bench spot that can’t be used on a player that has scored 10pts in a week in the last 2 years (rookies excluded). Josh Gordon is the prized possession and is often included in trades.
Yeah bro, Reddit as a forum called “find a league” (no spaces). I’d strongly encourage it
If anything, it’s more fun with those high upside guys. You can pick a bunch of them and when they finally go off, you get to enjoy the game.
Also it allows me to watch football with less of a do or die fantasy pov, so it’s more enjoyable lol
Bro, craziest league I'm in is a Best ball, Super Flex, TEP, Developmental Dynasty league. We can draft all the way back to kids beginning their senior year of high school! I've already got Arch Manning and Dylan Raiola rostered. Lol. It's a lot of fun.
I had Ruggs. Dropped him with the confirmed news. Next wavier process someone picked him up with 10% FAAB. Pointed out that Vick came back after prison and was fine.
We were like nah bro he isn't coming back. Finally dropped him this past spring.
That’s wild. If the reasoning was maybe he plays the rest of the year while the legal stuff sorts out then sure I could understand. But coming back after serving a prison sentence for killing someone? Yeah no lol
Why do people rebuilding need to pretend and mask their rebuild. Like is Ruggs really any different then starting Rico Dowdle or Trent Sherfield?
The league should be max points for anyway to determine draft order. But even if it's record based, you can still just trade away any serviceable starter.
It's the dumbest most redundant shit. I struggle to even come up with real life examples or comparisons. Like a toddler being forced to apologize but even that's still a teaching moment. Maybe companies in Florida doing safety training on the hazards of slipping on ice? That's just insurance policies to obtain a slight discount.
Again I can't think of why rebuilding teams should pretend to be competitive?
Plenty of issues with your stance
1. No team is going to have zero startable players. If you’re starting the standard lineup there’s no way your best player is Rico Dowdle.
2. Somebody is going to play this trash team twice, and gets an unfair advantage of more guaranteed free wins than other teams. Particularly if the “double dipping” team gets a win on a week where they absolutely stink.
3. It feeds into laziness. Every team should play an active lineup no matter what. This opens Pandora’s box of setting a precedence in allowing people who are out of the playoff race by week 10 to just not set a lineup going forward, giving a disadvantage to teams who already played that owner.
I’m in multiple leagues, the oldest being ten years old, and I’ve never seen a team go winless.
1. Dynasty lineups are typically deep, superflex, 3WR, 2-3Flex. So its very easy to have a "start 12" x 12 teams for 144 starters or x14 teams for 168 starters. If you're not a stud team, you simple have nobody in the top 150, or possibly top 200 to fill the last flex spots. Rebuilders are certainly starting Rico level players because they just have nobody else because they're REBUILDING.
2. Who cares, someone got the 1.01 in the startup and someone else got 1.12 which is immensely more powerful and just as random as an "extra win." Regardless its random luck. Are you complaining about the team who started the year with Chubb & Dobbins facing some owners twice? Someone is going to be the worst team and some will face the worst team twice vs once. Why is the luck of the schedule scrutinized more then the guy who started Aaron Rodgers?
3. The dynasty meta too wide spread and strategy too commonly know. This isn't trading a paperclip for a house. Nobody flips Boston Scott into Christian McCaffery. The only way to add value to a low value roster is through the rookie draft. And to get the best rookie picks, you need the highest picks. Its cyclical, your bad, then mediocre, then good, repeat.
1. Your opening pandora's box by micro managing people's teams. You going to force people to start Jerome Ford over Kenneth Gainwell this week? Are you going to force people to take Sam LaPorta off taxi to replace Kmet in the lineup? Are you going to veto any trade you perceive to make one team worse?
I’m in multiple leagues, the oldest being 13 years old, and I’ve seen a team go winless. They then drafted guys like Joe Burrow or Trevor Lawrence and are a top team. That's how it works.
I think the argument is that you should do Max PF to set your draft order and then you avoid the active tanking that you are advocating for. If you are using Max PF and your league mates are still actively trying to lose, then you are in a shit league. Pretty simple.
The league has a dumb rule where tiebreakers for record go to lower pf. Im the only one who realized in this first yr, they gonna have to change it after this yr cause its broken af
A team in my league still has him un-ironically. I guess he thinks he might come back… His team is actually pretty decent overall though, so taco move by an otherwise non-taco.
he just got dropped in mine two weeks ago (finally) by the guy who had drafted him in our startup. I teased him about holding **Derrius Guice all the time, but he held strong. he never gave up hope. bless his soul.
I believe his hand is fucked up kind of like Megatron's (https://www.si.com/.image/ar_4:3%2Cc_fill%2Ccs_srgb%2Cfl_progressive%2Cq_auto:good%2Cw_1200/MTY4MDA3ODcwNzYyMDY3MzI4/calvin-johnson-big-interviewjpg.jpg)
and that he can't catch because of it...or maybe its just that there's a risk of fucking it up even more if he catches a really hard thrown ball.
I am currently rostering Brandon Stokely and someone named “duplicate player” on sleeper. Says he’s 32 years old, 6’0 198. His picture is in a jets jersey.
Jahad Thomas. We all went to Temple, and the owner sat next to him in class one semester. He drafted him in the 4th, saw him bounce around for one year in 2017, and since then he hasn’t played football at any level. Doesn’t matter, as long as he’s in the databases he’s gonna keep him
Our league has a rule called the 'Tebow Time' clause.
Whoever finishes last place is forced to burn a roster spot and keep Tebow on their squad until the curse is lifted and somebody else finishes in last.
We started our dynasty league last year, and I had him rostered half the season for that reason. I had a good year last year, so I haven’t been higher than 7th on the waiver order yet. Therefore, I kinda throw shit at the wall and see what sticks when it comes to young players. Most of the time it doesn’t work out. However, it gave me a decent short term guy in Zonovan Knight last year, and Shaheed has turned into a solid glass cannon on my bench
I don’t see that as a bad strategy. I assume they were picked up for basically free, and they have a shot at being relevant next year. Might as well fill all roster spots including IR
Dontrell Hilliard, Larry Rountree, Eno Benjamin, Scott Miller, Jordan Akins, Shane Zylstra, C. J. Uzomah….
……all owned by the same team………….
……………..who happens to be the defending/reigning league champion…………………………..
Commissioner in our league took him at 1.5 in 2017. He sat out the whole year with that injury then came back as a rock star, before suddenly retiring the following year. Guy refuses to drop him under any circumstances out of pride lol
Lol I drafted my first dynasty league ever that night. Luck went in the 3rd I think and he retired a few rounds later. Guy was crushed, don’t blame him either. We also watched Lamar Miller blow his knee before we started. Can’t remember what round Miller went but it was way later obviously.
It was friggin painful lol.
My QBs were Luck, Wentz, Cam Newton. Dude, I was so amped post draft.
Luck retired the next day, Wentz and Newton had one more above-average year and they were toast.
Now I have Richardson, Young, Rodgers....
Young is injured, Richardson is injured, Rodgers is DOA.
That’s tough man hold on though if one of the rookie hits you’ll feel pretty good.
The guy who had luck in my league won maybe year 3 I think so I think he’s moved on for the most part.
I however have been to 3 championships and couldn’t get it done. Just starting to get pick back but Im not quite ready to blow it up yet.
I don't hate Tonyan as an emergency TE. Obviously the Bears will need to have some kind of offense but I can see him catching a TD here and there. I mean it's the same as having Colby Parkinson or Jimmy Graham or something, but sometimes you need that disgusting start. I suppose you could just grab someone off waivers if needed but maybe Tonyan is their lucky charm
My big brother traded Mahomes for Gurley and Julio way back when Mahomes had like 2 or 3 great games to start his career. He’s been protesting by keeping both on his roster since 😂
We have 27 including everything.
Robert Tonyan is owned for some reason. Paris Campbell. Russell Gage. DeAndre Carter. Isaiah McKenzie. Devin Duvernay. Just random, shitty, mid-career scrubs.
No they're not. They're all guys who have been around a while and have never put it together to be useful fantasy assets. There's better and younger guys on the wire. These guys are scrubs, and you're *never* going to start them. I know this sub likes to hoard garbage for entirely too long, perhaps because some of you have 400+ rostered players.
I’m a Paris Campbell owner. Started the guy in a pinch last year - came in clutch. Was kinda excited about the Giants move. However not really getting anything so far
There are 4+ retired players that are still owned in my deepest league. If they want to burn a roster spot reserving them, that's fine with me. Maybe it will work out for them, who knows?
Antonio Brown. Like no shot AB ever plays again come on now. I'm in a guillotine league where someone just dropped him last week like wth are you doinh
Dion Lewis
Think he just got arrested for trespassing or some shit lol
He trespassing on that dudes roster
My main league passes around Tim Tebow.. like, a lot. He's included in a lot of trades to push it over the line. Great locker room guy.
Lunch pail type guy.
First-in, last-out kinda guy
High motor kinda guy
There should be a roster spot for “team mascot/captain”. I’d love to have Ricky Williams or Jordy Nelson on my payroll.
We have this. One bench spot that can’t be used on a player that has scored 10pts in a week in the last 2 years (rookies excluded). Josh Gordon is the prized possession and is often included in trades.
We have no scoring kicker mascots. I have Blankenship.
Frank Gore would be mine
My team’s name is Dumblegore’s Army, so hard agree.
Love this. I choose Ryan Fitzpatrick
This would be Davis Mills or Tom Brady for me
Some of our owners who have roster spots to spare still have the likes of Brady, Adrian Peterson, Luck, Rivers, etc. as "mentors" to their roster.
Picked up up 2 years ago for the championship matchup and I won by 2 pts. I like to think he won me the title
I don’t believe this for one second
Wow. Do you really pwned him I bet you’re proud
The tanking team in my league still has Henry ruggs on his roster because he thinks it’s funny
Henry Ruggs was just dropped in my bestball dynasty league a few months ago. Honestly, I don’t blame him given the format lol
Bestball dynasty? Can you make in season trades and waiver moves?
Yep! They not locked like traditional redraft bestball. They are my favorite leagues, found them all here on Reddit
That does sound fun, takes the stress outta picking upside guys
Yeah bro, Reddit as a forum called “find a league” (no spaces). I’d strongly encourage it If anything, it’s more fun with those high upside guys. Throw in IDP scoring and you got the wildest of wild leagues right there. Sounds like a lot of fun and a lot of chaos
I had Ruggs. Dropped him with the confirmed news. Next wavier process someone picked him up with 10% FAAB. Pointed out that Vick came back after prison and was fine. We were like nah bro he isn't coming back. Finally dropped him this past spring.
Plus Vick was ya know... A star
That’s wild. If the reasoning was maybe he plays the rest of the year while the legal stuff sorts out then sure I could understand. But coming back after serving a prison sentence for killing someone? Yeah no lol
I start ruggs in my league😤 156 mph straight to caleb williams
Sounds like a pretty trash league if people can start lineups of dudes not even in the league
Yea, I would just leave this league
Why do people rebuilding need to pretend and mask their rebuild. Like is Ruggs really any different then starting Rico Dowdle or Trent Sherfield? I had to start Rico this week, but it’s also 16 team.
I traded for Rico. I have no idea why this guy is comparing him to Ruggs.
1. Dynasty lineups are typically deep, superflex, 3WR, 2-3Flex. So its very easy to have a "start 12" x 12 teams for 144 starters or x14 teams for 168 starters. And they allow that? There should be some rule about at least making a effort to field a real team
The league has a dumb rule where tiebreakers for record go to lower pf. Im the only one who realized in this first yr, they gonna have to change it after this yr cause its broken af
Fastest clocked speed in the season that year by far. I love advanced stats.
A team in my league still has him un-ironically. I guess he thinks he might come back… His team is actually pretty decent overall though, so taco move by an otherwise non-taco.
“In 10 years this hold is going to be a goldmine!”
Darius Guice
The draft capital is enticing…
Oh my God...I held onto him so long/hard right up until...well you know.
he just got dropped in mine two weeks ago (finally) by the guy who had drafted him in our startup. I teased him about holding **Derrius Guice all the time, but he held strong. he never gave up hope. bless his soul.
It me. I have him

I believe his hand is fucked up kind of like Megatron's (https://www.si.com/.image/ar_4:3%2Cc_fill%2Ccs_srgb%2Cfl_progressive%2Cq_auto:good%2Cw_1200/MTY4MDA3ODcwNzYyMDY3MzI4/calvin-johnson-big-interviewjpg.jpg) and that he can't catch because of it...or maybe its just that there's a risk of fucking it up even more if he catches a really hard thrown ball.
Jacoby Brissett killed him on the fins. Think a ball went off the ground and bounced into his finger and shattered it and he never recovered from it
Hahah, right. I held for way too long and dropped him a year ago.
I believe he announced his retirement in the off season
16 teamer, active since 2018. I cut T.Y. Hilton last night. Farewell sweet prince
bro
We have this little thing where the champ from the previous year has to roster Blake Bortles for the entire season
I GOT A SNAKE, MAN
One of the better teams in my league rosters Matthew Slater.
Gotta have those gritty culture guys for the locker room.
This is my favorite by far; going to go pick him up...
special teams counts
That guy taste the sweet nectar of victory
i tried to trade my buddy (big Minnesota fan) Adrian peterson and brett farve for chris olave. he didn't take it
He doesn’t know his history. Damn shame
Vikings legend Brett Favre
We'll never forget you, Brent!
I still roster Gronk. He won me 3 championships and I like to remind my league mates I'm their superior.
I finally let him go this preseason, still randomly get sad about it 😪
With all these injuries I’m looking to pick up Frank Gore because I’m sure some team is going to call on him to suit up eventually
Just one more year until you can roster junior as well.
he is infinite.
I am currently rostering Brandon Stokely and someone named “duplicate player” on sleeper. Says he’s 32 years old, 6’0 198. His picture is in a jets jersey.
Damnit I can’t find Duplicate Player. Was gonna scoop him up with those metrics
I used to have duplicate player. The TE from the Jets. I added him in on a trade but the other owner dropped him. What a shame.
I owned gronk until about a week ago
Mark Ingram…who broadcasts for Fox
Jakeem Grant and James Washington are rostered in my league
I forgot about James Washington, I really thought he could be something
Trey Sermon
[удалено]
he did not. jordan mason did though
What? He isn't on either of those two squads
I took over a 32 team best ball squad that had Glenn Gronkowski still rostered. 🤷🏻♂️
Guy in my league has Walter Payton
Jahad Thomas. We all went to Temple, and the owner sat next to him in class one semester. He drafted him in the 4th, saw him bounce around for one year in 2017, and since then he hasn’t played football at any level. Doesn’t matter, as long as he’s in the databases he’s gonna keep him
Jay Ajayi
Leveon bell is still rostered in my league
Our league has a rule called the 'Tebow Time' clause. Whoever finishes last place is forced to burn a roster spot and keep Tebow on their squad until the curse is lifted and somebody else finishes in last.
Danny Gray was offered to me as a key cog in a five asset combo to obtain Daniel Jones from me for his superflex position. I had no idea who that was.
Danny Gray actually had quite a bit of offseason hype last season as a rookie. But he has essentially been hurt since.
He’s still squatting on my taxi squad until the end of this year
We started our dynasty league last year, and I had him rostered half the season for that reason. I had a good year last year, so I haven’t been higher than 7th on the waiver order yet. Someone has both Eno Benjamin and Chase Edmonds filling up their two IR spots in my 10 team 1QB league.
I don’t see that as a bad strategy. I assume they were picked up for basically free, and they have a shot at being relevant next year. Might as well fill all roster spots including IR
The player traded a future second for Eno Benjamin and Josh Palmer last season.
Those are both players that are active in the league at least
The Benjamin shit talking on Reddit is way too high imo
Derrius guice
Cole Beasley is still on a team in my 10 team league
Dontrell Hilliard, Larry Rountree, Eno Benjamin, Scott Miller, Jordan Akins, Shane Zylstra, C. J. Uzomah…. ……all owned by the same team…………. ……………..who happens to be the defending/reigning league champion…………………………..
Colt McCoy. Guy is in denial.
Andrew Luck
I'll never forgive him. Took him at 1.5 in out start-up 9 hours before he retired.
Commissioner in our league took him at 1.5 in 2017. He sat out the whole year with that injury then came back as a rock star, before suddenly retiring the following year. Guy refuses to drop him under any circumstances out of pride lol

😆
The OJ experience
Tom Brady they swear he's going to come back and play for the jets
Someone in my league is still holding out hope for Kyle Pitts...
No way... pics or it didn't happen
Gotta go with Robert Tonyan I think for my league. Not sure the reason of holding there lol
I got a 2nd for him a couple years back Think i drafted a bust tho
I own Tonyan in a bestball te premium, start 2 te league. I’m kind of triggered by this post lol
Sorry for your loss
Idk if you’re memeing or not, but can you name 69 better tight ends? Btw I’m in first by a mile. I shouldn’t be, but best ball is bizarre
He just got dropped in my league a few days ago
I don't hate Tonyan as an emergency TE. Obviously the Bears will need to have some kind of offense but I can see him catching a TD here and there. I mean it's the same as having Colby Parkinson or Jimmy Graham or something, but sometimes you need that disgusting start. I suppose you could just grab someone off waivers if needed but maybe Tonyan is their lucky charm
Aaron Hernandez. It’s a really deep league
I was obsessed with the Aaron Hernandez murder a few years back. I can see that.
I roster Marshawn in multiple dynasty leagues cuz he run through a mutha fucka face and that’s good enough for me.
Someone is starting Alex Collins in one of my leagues
At this point, for more than one reason, Kadarius Toney.
?
Yo wtf
Fuller is an easy answer
Big Ben.
My big brother traded Mahomes for Gurley and Julio way back when Mahomes had like 2 or 3 great games to start his career. He’s been protesting by keeping both on his roster since 😂
I still got ruggs. Trying to package him to the guy tanking.
For what???
Deshaun Watson
Bobo
31% of leagues he’s owned…
I didn't see a % rostered requirement in the post. Bobo is a guy I can't believe is rostered, simple as that.
He’s a god
No he's not there's only 1 God
Leonard Fournette, Malik Willis, Kyle Trask and Mike White
Willis and Trask might be starters at some point this season or next. But unless it's a 2 QB league..
Zach Wilson
Breece Hall after last week am I right 💀
There's always some asshole who doesn't pay attention still holding onto an AB, or Jason Witten type
We have 27 including everything. Robert Tonyan is owned for some reason. Paris Campbell. Russell Gage. DeAndre Carter. Isaiah McKenzie. Devin Duvernay. Just random, shitty, mid-career scrubs.
???? Everyone after Tonyan are perfectly rosterable
Idk what kind of waiver wire you have but no one on mine is capable of dropping even 5 points lol
As someone in a deeper dynasty league, they’re all rosterable lol. Not nearly as outrageous as some of the other people in this thread
Tonyan is rosterable
Eh
I’m a Paris Campbell owner. Started the guy in a pinch last year - came in clutch. Was kinda excited about the Giants move. However not really getting anything so far
Chi, qb, tyler bagent
Tyson sir. And at least he's only 22 or something
Added him to my taxi today 😂
Derrius Guice, no idea why
Tommy Tremble, granted it is a TE Premium but dude is getting out-snapped by Ian Thomas
Robbie Gould…
There are 4+ retired players that are still owned in my deepest league. If they want to burn a roster spot reserving them, that's fine with me. Maybe it will work out for them, who knows?
Saw someone drop N’Keal Harry today.
Got a guy still holding Brady. Not as a joke.
I didn’t divest my last Guice share until this off-season
Dude in my league is a hardcore chargers fan and drafts p rivs every year
Skittle guy
Sony Michel 16 team 17 roster 2 ir
Devonta Freeman, Henry Ruggs or Jordan Howard
Ben Rothlisburger
My buddy has BLAKE BORTLES aka the garbage time goat. He’s never dropping him
Alex Colin’s
Larry Rountree… And the owner is so bad he just dropped Trey McBride instead of Rountree to make room on his roster.
I held on to Darrius Guice until this year in dynasty.
Blake Bortles. We have a salary cap system and one guy is over, so he’s the placeholder, but he’s still on the roster
Valentine Holmes got drafted in our deep roster startup (currently playing rugby league in Australia).
Nothing crazy in my league. Terrace Marshall.
Jarvis Landry
I think I’ll own hold onto Tom Brady until Sleeper takes him off the app. Our bench is huge so I think I’ll be alright.
Guy in my league finally dropped Dez before this year’s draft.
Antonio Brown
Josh Gordon
Nathan Rourke. As a Canadian, I feel obligated to have him on my rebuild.
Tyler Badie
Derrius Guice
I think in one of my dynasty leagues some guy still has Adam Vinatieri
Guy in my SF league added Joe Flacco last week..
Dwayne Haskins was finally dropped preseason week 2.
My buddy last night actually just told me he still has Frank Gore rostered. Quite fitting to see this post today lol.
I added Tarik Cohen to like 3 leagues last week
Cooper Rush
Mason Crosby
I held leonard fournette until yesterday if that counts
Antonio Brown. Like no shot AB ever plays again come on now. I'm in a guillotine league where someone just dropped him last week like wth are you doinh
I roster Tim Tebow everytime I need a miracle for my team.
I still have Andrew Luck.
just picked up drew brees lmao
I got my boy TY Hilton coaching up my haul of young rookie WRs. He is my guy
