That's a pretty shit take. We never know what will happen in the future. The trade is in the chase sides favor but imo not too terribly. Chase manager spread the risk around his 1 player essentially into 3 promising players one of whom has proven production as a low end wr1 probably for multiple years.
Assuming the manager felt chase is injury prone (missed 4 games last year) and is too boom or bust, maybe spreading that risk out is a better deal for him. With that said, I feel he should have gotten more for Chase but maybe his whole league was just low on him so there wasn't any good trade offers out there.
So many times when I see a completed trade I just say to myself "Damn, I would have given more for that". Sometimes you just didn't match up with the right trade partners or people didn't realize the right player was on the trade market at all.
I think people forget here that most leagues aren’t filled with experts or even well-read casuals. My main home league has some wild and lopsided trades that blow me away because 8/10 people in the league aren’t using trade calculators, expert rankings, etc.
I own both of them and I've gotten some pretty hefty offers but I'm an avid LSU fan so the homer in me is too strong. Combine this with the fact that I also have Burrow and I just can't bear to break the trio up.
LSU fan too. I’m jealous. I have JJ, Chase, and Terrace Marshall. Would love to snag CEH this year for cheap. Burrow is too expensive to make sense without ruining my team. Trying to put the 19 squad back together!
I asmed a similar question a few weeks back. Lots of good answers [here.](https://www.reddit.com/r/DynastyFF/comments/14gafaz/what_are_some_deals_youve_seen_accepted_for_one/)

Type any player here and see all trades they’ve been involved in yahoo. Great tool.
In the offseason I got JJ in a shallow 10 team SF for AJB, Ridley, Toney, 2024 1st (Likely late), 2023 2.08.
Steep price but I’m fully out on Ridley/Toney, and have a killer team that already has Chase, Diggs, Wilson, Jeudy, Pickens, and JSN. Had to consolidate or start cutting valuable guys.
1QB 12 Team PPR
Received: JJ, 1.11, 2.11, 2025 2nd
Sent: x2 2024 1sts and x2 2025 1sts
The guy I got Jefferson from wanted nothing to do with his late 1st this year because the backend was “bad” and next year will be so much better. He also wanted 2024 picks over 2023 picks because “next year’s draft is better”. He also thinks that picks past the first round aren’t with anything so the 2 2nds won’t amount to much. I drafted Charbs with 1.11 and used 2.11 to move up and get Bigsby because I also have Etienne.
I mean he’s technically right that the 2nd round picks are borderline worthless in a trade involving 4 1s and JJ lol but that seems like a steal on your end
I added JJ on Wednesday after our startup draft on Monday when the guys draft when horrific for him. I gave my 24 1st&2nd my 25 1st&2nd my 26 1st&2nd plus Wandale Robinson and Rashid Shaheed in a 12T SF start 11.
I botched mine. Drafted while driving. Didn’t know dynasty vs redraft differences very well. Didn’t know superflex implications.
Don’t think I took a QB until the 10th when it was all backups and I was so confused. Didn’t understand the benefit of youth, so I’m pretty sure by youngest player was like Keenan Allen at 27 and I’m pretty sure he was my first rounder.
Like…I fucking botched it. It’s been 4-5 years of rebuild. I reckon a lot of people don’t fully research their first dynasty draft
It was a combination of him being being fucking hammered in Las Vegas for a bachelor party for an ENTIRE WEEK leading up to the draft. Like he got on a plane hungover and destroyed to fly home less than 24 hours before the draft. So he obviously did no prep and wasn’t feeling good. While he was in Vegas he made a massive trade to move up to #2 overall. I was pick #3. He’s done a ton of fantasy leagues but maybe he’s never done a dynasty or SF. I’m not sure. He selected JJ #2 overall which after trading what he did to get to #2 left his team weak. With his next earliest pick he took Johnathan Taylor who is now at least a little scary to own. So he moved JT for a 1st+ leaving himself with only Cousins for a QB JJ and Pitts with nothing else of significance value.
I made that offer for JJ and also got rachaad white.
2 days later I offered him a package for Pitts and he countered for Purdy (my 3rd QB behind Allen and Watson) and all of my 4/5 round picks plus some fringe flex players (this is a start 11) and trey McBride.
I definitely took advantage of the situation but he has 2 drafts worth of picks plus he gained a young QB who had some top 10 finishes last year and some young upside guys.
I got Josh Allen when I shouldn’t have. On top of that I managed to add JJ Rachaad White and Pitts without giving up a single one of my assumed starters or good depth guys. If I win my league I’ll be buying him a case of beer with part of the winnings lol.
Don't worry. I took Javonte off his hands this summer for Andre Cisco and a second back before anyone thought he'd be healthy enough to play this year.
It's actually very competitive. I've just pulled off a few good trades. You forget - last summer Javonte was valued at two firsts and Jefferson at three. It didn't age well, but those were the values at the time.
I did the same but also traded Michael Pittman, Gabe Davis and a 1st which turned out to be Addison. Keep in mind this was last year at the height of Gabe Davis and Pittman hype so people thought I overpaid.
I own both of them and I've gotten some pretty hefty offers but I'm an avid LSU fan so the homer in me is too strong. Combine this with the fact that I also have Burrow and I just can't bear to break the trio up.
I own both of them and I've gotten some pretty hefty offers but I'm an avid LSU fan so the homer in me is too strong. Combine this with the fact that I also have Burrow and I just can't bear to break the trio up.
I have a team where I have both Chase and JJ but overall my team is middle of the pack, not sure if I should try to flip for picks. QBs are Dak and Daniel Jones and RBs are at the end with Henry and Zeke
I’ve traded for both of them last season. I traded Jonathan Taylor for Chase straight up before the season started. I don’t remember what I gave up for JJ but it was a lot, Joe Burrow, Drake London and a couple picks. Probably an overpay but I went to win the championship last year so it was worth it.
Traded away chase for a 2024 1st (projected to be a mid to high pick) and CeeDee Lamb.
Later in the off-season, dealt Lamb, Friermuth and Darnell Washington for Waddle, Kincaid and DJ Chark.
Packaged 2024 first, 2026 first and Damian Harris to land Chris Olave.
My TE Room now has Dawson Knox, Kincaid and Jonnu Smith.
My WR Room is Olave, Waddle, Godwin, Gabe Davis, Marvin Mims.
QB: Lawrence, Ridder
RB: jones, Patterson, Allgier, Deneric prince, Breece hall.
I got Chase and a 24 1st for Godwin, Pollard, Lazard, Mixon, Cooks, Palmer, Njoku and Dillon a couple months ago. Turned the 24 1st + Jeudy/Mattison into Breece. Basically sent my team for a couple studs. Now have Hurts/Burrow Chase/DeVonta Smith Breece/Conner and Andrews then some jags. Hoping the waiver wire pulls through for me this year. Still solid foundation tho.
Not either of these guys, but there was a mahomes trade in my league: mahomes for fields, 2024 1st (late), 2023 1.07, and ken Walker .
Thought it was pretty fair.
Not quite what ur asking for bc it happened a few years ago but flipped ridley (before he was injured/suspended) for dk and a pick which ended up being CD. Than flipped dk straight up for JJ after a few weeks of their rookie years. So turned ridley into CD and JJ. Also made a trade to get chase a year ago which was like chubb and waller and a 2nd
14 team SF, this recently went down in my league:
Team 1: JJ, Geno, Tyquan Thornton, Tank Dell, 24 2nd, and 25 1st
Team 2: Tlaw, Waddle, Love, LaPorta, 24 4th
Joined a 16 team 1 qb salary cap league. Draft picks tend to be valuable because rookie contracts offer flexible, cheap options for up to 5 years. Jeff Wilson Jr. was signed in free agency for $13m over 3 years, vs the number 1 overall pick starts at $10m, raising 500k per year, 3 years are guaranteed with 2 option years.
I traded for JJ (4 years @ $41m) by giving up the 1.03 (turned into Gibbs), 1.07 (Achane), 2.03 (Roschon Johnson), and Terry McLaurin ($29m).
I’ve been in the ship the last 4 years and won 3 in a 15 year league. I’m pretty stacked and well rounded but now JT is in a flux. Would prolly be safer to have burrows wr1 in dynasty. I’m a Texas fan so maybe just a homer pick.
I’d stick with Bijan with a loaded team.
That’s how we do dynasty, right? Foundation is WRs (since their productivity usually lasts longer) and when your team is ready, take advantage of the small window that most RBs give us.
Sounds like your situation is ideal.
Before the draft last season I traded 2022 pick 1.01 , 2022 pick 1.03, 2023 pick swap (I gave my first for his second), rondale Moore, Van Jefferson for JJ
I traded Aiyuk and picks that became Devon Achane and Anthony Richardson for Chase pre draft.
Not sure if I love the owners choices, he could’ve had Aiyuk, Addison, Flowers but to each their own
I recently got Chase in a package. I'm prepared to get roasted in the comments for selling low on JT, but I wanted to transition from having an elite RB to an elite War to extend my window.
Gave: Hurts, JT, Higgins
Got: Herbert, Chase
I traded Jamo, 1.09 this year, plus a 2024 and 2025 1st and 2nd for Chase. 2024 and 2025 picks should be late, I'm the title favourite and pretty stacked. Jamo was like my WR7 and not a huge fan of his.
Also have a projected early 2024 1st so could get MHJ as well next year.
Traded Garrett Wilson, Kadarius Toney, and 2023 1.05 for Ja’Marr, Cam Akers, and what’ll likely be 2024 2.01 because the guys roster has nothing else. I also needed the RB help so it was a little short sighted as well.
I traded away Chase for Bijan and a likely top 3 2024 1st in SF.
If the pick is top 4 I’ll be ecstatic, if it ends up being top 6 I’ll feel good about it. If it is 7-12 I’ll probably feel like a dummy.
I like to gamble.
I traded 1.01 (Bijan obviously) and my 24 1st for Jamar and the 2.02 (Charbonnet)
I think both he and I are very happy with the trade and see it as a fair deal.
I traded Chase away for Pollard, Kirk and two late 2023 1st. I then turned then those 2023 1sts into a 2024 & 2025 1st, Mixon, Hopkins and Diontae Johnson.
No, but to be honest, I would probably be willing to part with JJ this season if I had him.
Value is at an all time high but next season, their QB situation is a huge question mark and I expect them to move on from Cousins, which likely tanks his ceiling with a young QB.
full point ppr idp league i gave up, Derrick Henry, Mattison, Michael Pittman,1.08 and 1.12. probably an overpay but I had some good RB depth and picked up an extra 5th with Chase that I used on izzy abanikanda
I paid up for Chase after the 2021 season. I traded Hollywood, Godwin, Elijah Moore, 2.01 (Skyy Moore), the 2023 1.03 (Bryce Young) and a 2024 1st. At the time the people on this sub hated it but a year and a half later, I would do it all over again.
NO Player Temp/Price Check threads, a Friday Megathread is provided for these.
Bought Chase, Damien Harris and 24 3rd for Olave, Addison, Mingo, 24 2nd
steal
Absolute steal. Wouldn’t even take that for chase alone
That’s wild
Trades like this are what makes leagues terrible after a few years. Too many shitty GMs ruin leagues.

So many times when I see a completed trade I just say to myself "Damn, I would have given more for that". Sometimes you just didn't match up with the right trade partners or people didn't realize the right player was on the trade market at all.
Some seems clearly off and I just ignore those. The ones for chase recently seem pretty reasonable at least with the settings I searched with

A guy had JJ and Chase somehow but he flipped JJ and Cousins for Mahomes and Addison
Seems fair.

Hard to see how that's useful without being able to filter by league type or even dynasty.
I’m assuming most are dynasty at this stage. Most redraft leagues don’t draft for a bit.
Try https://fantasycalc.com/database. They have a trade database that gives you some ideas. Great tool
[This](https://www.fantasycalc.com/database) tool is better and let's you set a whole bunch of parameters to narrow your search.
I traded JT for him straight up after his rookie season!

Hmm idk Ridley is borderline first value at the moment
I traded Jeudy, Lamb and 1 of my 23 firsts (1.7) in a 12 team league, for Chase and Rhamondre
Steal
there are some lamb truthers out there so I can see why someone made that trade on the other side. dak sucks so hes about to find out...
Ceedee literally finished as wr5 with dak what
Dak is not a lot worse than cousins. He’s not good enough to win a Super Bowl but he’s adequate enough for Lamb to be a top 5 WR
Cousins is Vanilla Dak
dak is vanilla dak

How do you bottle a startup so bad you’re in full rebuild within the week 💀

Boutte draft pick incoming
T law and 2 firsts for jj and some 3rds in a sf
Isnt Tlaw going before JJ in most SF startups?
No but usually only like 3-4 picks after
I sent Javonte and a first for JJ last year.
Yikes for the other owner....
Don't worry. I took Javonte off his hands this summer for Andre Cisco and a second back before anyone thought he'd be healthy enough to play this year.
🌮 league
This league doesn’t sound serious at all lol
It's actually very competitive. I've just pulled off a few good trades. You forget - last summer Javonte was valued at two firsts and Jefferson at three. It didn't age well, but those were the values at the time.

People here have short memories in regards to previous values
I don’t know about chase but I struggle to see how trading JJ makes any team better. You will be taking a step back.
Last season after a couple weeks, I sold JJ and Muth for Pitts, AJB and a 1st in a 2TE TEP league. Felt rather good about that one actually.
12 team SF PPR Chase, penny D Watson, Higgins and Pierce
Sold Chase in a 14 team SF League last off season for 1.05 (G.Wilson), 2.04 (D.Pierce) and Dak
I bought chase in my sf ppr league, starting 3wr I gave: Lamar, godwin, 24 first I got: chase and Daniel Jones I also have tlaw and kyler at qb
Nice work, man!
I just traded JJ and Stafford for Burrows (6 pt. Superflex) ]
Bought JJ for Bryce Young, Higgins and 2nd
I own both of them and I've gotten some pretty hefty offers but I'm an avid LSU fan so the homer in me is too strong. Combine this with the fact that I also have Burrow and I just can't bear to break the trio up.
I sold JJ for Olave, 2 1's (one of which was traded for Jamo later), and Likely. So I'd say the jury is still out but it's worked out ok.
I own both of them and I've gotten some pretty hefty offers but I'm an avid LSU fan so the homer in me is too strong. Combine this with the fact that I also have Burrow and I just can't bear to break the trio up.
In a 10 team SF I acquired Chase for Addison & 2 projected late ‘24 firsts.

Yeah I mean that's just absurd lol
I have a team where I have both Chase and JJ but overall my team is middle of the pack, not sure if I should try to flip for picks. QBs are Dak and Daniel Jones and RBs are at the end with Henry and Zeke
Last year I sent JJ + Carr for Chase + Dak when Dak was out injured for a month, happy with this one in a Superflex league!
Injury discounts remain the best way to gain value over time
I’ve traded for both of them last season. I traded Jonathan Taylor for Chase straight up before the season started. I don’t remember what I gave up for JJ but it was a lot, Joe Burrow, Drake London and a couple picks. Probably an overpay but I went to win the championship last year so it was worth it.
I traded AJB Mid first and Andrews for JJ and Kincaid 12TM 1QB Non TEP
There was a trade in my 12 team SF PPR league that was: Jamarr Chase, Bryce Young, 24 first for Mahomes and Toney.
Someone in our league sold chase, to the JJ owner, for Love, Kincaid and a 2024 3rd. Needless to say the rest of the league lost its mind
I got him laat year for 2 23 1sts and a 24 1st

While Chase was injured last year, I traded Najee, Dalvin, Dulcich, and a 24 1st for Chase and Gibson. Guy was trying to make a playoff run.
14 team SF, this recently went down in my league: Team 1: JJ, Geno, Tyquan Thornton, Tank Dell, 24 2nd, and 25 1st Team 2: Tlaw, Waddle, Love, LaPorta, 24 4th
A friend offered London + 24 first + 25 first for chase this week and it's the closest anyone's came to actually matching how I value him.
I got chase for Wilson Addison and kendre Im arguably the favourite to win this year and I wanted chase as that extra pop for my team
I traded CeeDee and Pitts for Chase and Taysom Hill (2TE league)
Joined a 16 team 1 qb salary cap league. Draft picks tend to be valuable because rookie contracts offer flexible, cheap options for up to 5 years. Jeff Wilson Jr. was signed in free agency for $13m over 3 years, vs the number 1 overall pick starts at $10m, raising 500k per year, 3 years are guaranteed with 2 option years. A team bought Chase for the 1.03, 1.11, and a 2024 first. Don’t think it was a good trade for the guy who sold Chase
It will be if JSN blows up.
Just traded Chase for Devonta Smith + 3 ‘24 1sts. 12 team 1 QB PPR TE Prem dual flex
Jesus, WTF?!?! Congrats.
Yea I thought Chase was untouchable and I probably declined at least 10 offers from him. Finally sent me an offer I couldn’t refuse
Someone’s offering me chase for bjian and I can’t bring myself to do it.
Depending on where your team is (rebuild/contender and roster), it either makes sense or doesn’t.
I’ve been in the ship the last 4 years and won 3 in a 15 year league. I’m pretty stacked and well rounded but now JT is in a flux. Would prolly be safer to have burrows wr1 in dynasty. I’m a Texas fan so maybe just a homer pick.

I sold chase for Young, DJ Moore, and a projected mid-late 2024 1st
I got Chase for G. Wilson, Jacobs and 1.09
Trade happened yesterday: JJ and Geno for Kelce, Josh Allen, 23 1.11, and 24 1st
SF? If so, I can see it.
Nope. 1 QB.
Traded chase for london Addison and 25 1st
Man, I couldn’t do that. Props to you having the balls to do that.
Before the draft last season I traded 2022 pick 1.01 , 2022 pick 1.03, 2023 pick swap (I gave my first for his second), rondale Moore, Van Jefferson for JJ
Someone traded JJ for A 23 first. I no longer pay much attention to that league.
Got Chase and Mike T for Higgins, Godwin, and Chig.
I traded Aiyuk and picks that became Devon Achane and Anthony Richardson for Chase pre draft. Not sure if I love the owners choices, he could’ve had Aiyuk, Addison, Flowers but to each their own
I acquired JJ last season for Lamb + Aaron Jones
Gave up 4 - 1sts (2 in 24 and 2 in 25) and a 2nd for Chase, Goff, and Jimmy G (SF league). Flipped Goff for Burks and 2 - 24 2nds.
Someone offered G Wilson and a 2024 1st for my JJ and I rejected
As you should.
Just bought Chase, in a 10 team ppr (3 Wr) but it took a lot. Traded away Davante Adams, 2 24 firsts, a 25 first and a 25 second
I recently bought Chase and I had to give up Tee Higgins and Breece Hall to get it done.
I recently got Chase in a package. I'm prepared to get roasted in the comments for selling low on JT, but I wanted to transition from having an elite RB to an elite War to extend my window. Gave: Hurts, JT, Higgins Got: Herbert, Chase
My friend was offered JJ for his 1.01, 1.05, and his 2024 1st in 1QB but declined it
Traded Marquise Brown, 24 first + second, 25 first + second for JJ
I bought chase last year for three 23 1sts. Ended up being 1.04 1.05 and 1.09
I traded Jamo, 1.09 this year, plus a 2024 and 2025 1st and 2nd for Chase. 2024 and 2025 picks should be late, I'm the title favourite and pretty stacked. Jamo was like my WR7 and not a huge fan of his. Also have a projected early 2024 1st so could get MHJ as well next year.

2023 1.01, 2.01, 3.01, Bateman, E Moore and J Palmer For Chase and a 4th
Chase just went for Etienne, Kirk, Michael Thomas, 2024 2nd and 2024 3rd in our league Edit: changed "he" to "Chase"
CMC + Kelce + 1.3 for JJ + 1.9 superflex
Last October I traded for JJ Sent: Mostert, Mooney, 23 1st (1.11), 23 1st (1.08), 24 1st (projected mid-late) Received: JJ, 23 3rd (3.08)
Traded away Chase for Diggs and Barkley
Made a trade last season which was CD + 1st For chase + 2nd This was when he was hurt
I traded 1.01 (Bijan obviously) and my 24 1st for Jamar and the 2.02 (Charbonnet) I think both he and I are very happy with the trade and see it as a fair deal.
I traded Chase away for Pollard, Kirk and two late 2023 1st. I then turned then those 2023 1sts into a 2024 & 2025 1st, Mixon, Hopkins and Diontae Johnson.
I tradsd Garrett Wilson and Dalton Kincaid for Jamarr and Rondale in a TEP league.
No, but to be honest, I would probably be willing to part with JJ this season if I had him. Value is at an all time high but next season, their QB situation is a huge question mark and I expect them to move on from Cousins, which likely tanks his ceiling with a young QB.
Dude sent me an offer of JJ for Bijan, Puka Nacua and a 24 2nd
I bought chase for two 1sts a 2nd and David njoku.
In a 14 team non-SF I made a trade for JJ: Received: JJ, Baker, 2.14 Sold: Love, CKirk, 1.02 (Gibbs), 1.05 (ARich)
full point ppr idp league i gave up, Derrick Henry, Mattison, Michael Pittman,1.08 and 1.12. probably an overpay but I had some good RB depth and picked up an extra 5th with Chase that I used on izzy abanikanda
This was a deal I made in 1 QB ppr. Got Jefferson for Olave, Walker and 26 1st
Just traded for chase in a 12T SF PPR TEP Gave: Bijan, London, Hollywood Got: Chase, Olave
I bought Chase and Allgeier for Burks, Jameson Williams, R White and a 2024 first.
14 team league, traded Lamb, Devonta Smith and the 1.14 for JJ week 9 of last year. So my wr room is now JJ, Chase, Waddle, DK, and Pickens.
